This is honestly what made the game for me. I remember playing main story and feeling disappointed in its sameness to the last 3 Mario releases. But the DLC honestly gave the game a whole new feel for it that was really exciting to play. You really had to make quick decisions like “Is it worth spending time here? Or could there be more coins down the level?” lol really fun. Great video
Never really thought about it like that, and I just marathon-ed the 4 mainline Pikmin games this summer! If we wanna take that thought further, rolling a fresh set of courses is almost like the caves from Pikmin 2 that generate differently every run, and replaying a saved record for a better score is like playing 3's missions/4's dandori challenges
