My father in law purchased a lot of these coins from the American mint. When I discovered what they were worth I was a bit upset knowing what he paid for them. I gave them all away to family members who were interested in them.
I'm a mail carrier and I deliver those American Mint catalogs all the time. They always go to elderly people but I can't stick my nose into their business and tell them not to buy that stuff. Some of those 14K gold coins are selling for over six times melt value. The Platinum Eagle replica, which is 1 oz. of SILVER (layered in platinum), goes for $195! You might as well spend $1K for a real platinum eagle. What a ripoff. And don't get me started on the Mystic Stamp catalogs...

I don’t see a need to bring a purchase receipt to a dealer. Actually, it none of the dealer’s business what you “paid” for a coin. Everything should be based on current metals prices and/or other numismatic information regarding the piece for sale. I guess people who inherit coins and metal just need an education. Regardless, if they inherited the stuff and are able to sell it, then they are getting 100% profit. LOL Good video, thanks. 👍
My dad collected coins from American Mint several years ago. He thought he was buying something valuable. When I found out he was purchasing coins from American Mint, I talked him out of collecting. They are worthless! He paid anywhere from $29.954-$89.99 per coin. American Mint preys on people who don't understand coin collecting. How does this unscrupulous company get away with ripping people off? He wasted so much money. I'm just grateful I found out sooner than later. Thank you for sharing this information!

Your honesty is priceless this world is filled with coin crooks and I been seeing it getting out of control on eBay lately. People are charging to much for raw coins lately on there. For some of those prices they are charging as if they are graded by the top teir services and these are raw coins. Also others are still high but not as much but it is still high and the reason why I say that is because if I buy it for that price I am expecting it not to be clean. Some coins are very obvious that have been cleaned others are not I paid 80 bucks for a coin that I t thought was Me 65 or higher and it did not appear clean to me but it came back a clean designation grade. If I am paying that much for a raw coin in an eBay auction it should not be clean. If the seller is aware if it is clean they should not sell it as a non clean coin it should say clean. Although I still think the coin is not clean I looked at ms65 and 66 pictures of slabed coins on eBay and it looks the same as those coins.

I love the information you give about corns but these reaction videos are by far the best keep up the good work Danielle God bless take care
ok...I'll be honest, the lighted box is sort of cool....but not for $10-$12 over the value of the coin.
Hey Daniel what happened to the app? With all the prices? It just disappeared and I didn't delete it, and also can't find it anymore..

Mr.Malone.....why wanna be a millionaire when your PRICELESS ❤
That is a cool give away. Great video as always. Id love to send one of those marine coins to my cousin Angie, she was a marine corps. MP in Japan in the late 90s early 2000s. She is a badass.
I am sure we can come up with something to send here. All three are accounted for now. Thanks!
@@CoinHELPu I need to remember to phrase stuff differantly. I should have said "something like those ", instead of sounding like i meant those actual ones.I'm not trying to take away from someone who earned it and SO much more.
Thinking about it, while i do know where to get similar, it WOULD be a big surprise to her if she didnt see new york on the package or my nameuntil she opened it. I will let you know.thanks.
Since I was in the Marine Corp I can be a bit of a sucker for those pieces.
The colored quarter is really nice. Semper Fi!
Send me your address and I will send you the challenge coin. portsmouthcoinshop@gmail.com
Hugely enlightening. Thanks for the information on how you interpret value. And the coin apps site is really useful. I appreciate your insights.
The only thing I've bought from the U.S. mint a 2016 W standing liberty 1/4oz of gold. It was the first piece of gold I bought a few weeks ago from my LCS
Great information as always,I had a good giggle.
Congrats on 40k!! 🥳🥳 Thank you for the military shout out! My husband is a Marine 🦅
Semper Fi!
