If only it were as simple as spoon vs. jig! I think everyone knows about basin crappie now and the basins get pounded. Like others have mentioned the key here is where they are fishing more than what they are using!
First time I've heard someone say crappie love the really fast fall of tungsten. All other advice is dropping too fast with tungsten scares panfish off.
Awesome video. It seems like crappie like basins in the winter but how far do they Rome to find them. I fish lake Champlain in Vermont if they’re in a bay in the summer are they going to be in the same bay just deeper during the winter? On small ponds it’s easy for me to find them. Thanks for the video!
It is more about finding the depth they are holding at. Logically you would think if there is a deep spot near a summer honey hole that would be a good place to start at, but if you aren't catching them move to another spot with a similar depth and try there.
Have anyone noticed that most of the so called pros are fishing on lakes that are not accessible to the average person. Has anyone notice that there are no houses on the shore line. There probably fishing on some remote lake in Canada. If anyone went to the same lake they probably could catch also. Da.
where i live all the lake are fished to death by boomers. i ice fished for 60hours this year and caught only two perch. my country did a study on the lake and found that 100% of mature walleye are killed in the first year they start to lay eggs. youll be glad to even get 1fish in a entire day fishing.
Francois Dupont, you’re really going to blame “boomers” for fishing? You sound pretty self entitled if you think them fishing isn’t right because they’re catching fish. Sounds to me like you always blame everyone else for your problems.
These two guys look like good buddies who enjoy their jobs!
Stange is a pioneer and always enjoy his perspective
That is a quality school of crappies!
Love the video. So excited for some good fishing this winter!
A couple of good sticks-that’s for sure!

One thing to notice with the hummingbird flasher is that it picks a lot of random junk and is difficult to see your bait.

Most professional fishermen use private lake with stock fishes.
