Both versions are good. Obviously, when an original is so good, there's going to be renditions of it. People need to stop complaining and comparing, just enjoy them both. I hope they keep the renditions coming.

Hollywood took an absolutely wonderful Korean movie and turned it into a shallow west coast TURD! (LA types can't follow a plot more complicated than a comic book).
korean version has more threats and violence from the girl...which is exactly the reason why the movie in the first place was hilarious because it shows a relationship where the girl wears the pants. Elisha Cuthbert is pretty, but i dont get the same vibe as Jun Ji Hyun. Need more violence to get the korean "feel"

Trust Hwood to try copy movies from other countries and ruining it. They are planning to do the same with Train to Busan too. Plus just from watching this scene those 2 seem to have zero on screen chemistry. Unlike THC and JHJ in the original

How can you remake a beautiful Korean love story where the mannerisms, behaviors, and attitudes portrayed are culturally specific to the Korean culture. The American remake makes me want to throw up, it does not evoke the same emotions or makes you laugh out loud as the Korean version not to mention the anglo actors appear so ackward, too old and out of place, it only goes to show through history til now anglos have the midas touch, everything they touch turns to dust

The korean version is the original, it was released in 2001. This movie is only a remake, released in 2008 ~.
