- Moving Sheep, Spreading Manure & Shipping Market Lambs
Another couple days of what my life looks like here on the farm. When I’m not in the fields, or lambing…its chores, observations, weighing lambs and shipping lambs.
I’m also on call for Mark.
And sometimes its literally just to be an uber driver.
#sheep #manure #lambs
Question!
Do you guys prefer videos more often, or only once a week?

I think it's adorable how happy Sandi is that her ewe lambs like her! I remember on one of her first vids, she said that she wanted a barn of 500 sheep that all loved her the way Ruthie did.
She's not there yet, but even a few years down the line, her numbers of sheep that love her are slowly growing, and I'm not even talking about the Golden Girls and Tomatoes.
I'm talking about Willow, Ruby Sue, even little Pita.
It never gets old. You could film the sheep daily and I would never get tired of any part of it.
Awesome! thanks!
I love how you treat sheep. They look so healthy and strong. Keep up the good work and you are such an inspiration to me and I'm sure not only me but to quite a high number of people who love farming livestock.
Good morning. I love watching the lambs all lined up in a row while they are eating.
Thanks Patricia! It is pretty amazing!
Hi Sandi! Good video, as always. I love watching you with your flock; that grin on your face is priceless. If Mark's parents don't mind, could you show us their chicken operation? Thanks!
I can see!
Sandi I have to say i admire you so much you love what you do loving and taking care of your sheep as well as your family!
Oh gawd, the ear flops when they run. I can’t take the cuteness.
When we feed our calves they are the same lol "this is my last meal ever" they drink their milk down like its never going to eat again. Great video! and thanks for the inspiration
I need my daily fix of Sandi and the Veggie Boys.❤
if everybody had a work ethic like you and mark the world would be a much better place!!! Great video
Too kind! Thanks Bob!
Love your barn
Great to see happy healthy sheep play like that a credit to you and how well you look after them love your system well done
I love how you do so much on your farm your very inspiring. ❤️
Great new video Sandi, keep up the great work👍
Thanks so much!!
You're spoiling us with these uploads!
Also love seeing that chicken operations almost everywhere look basically the same. Always kinda wondered where they stored all the poop from the hens.
Also, you have some seriously adorable lambs. Looking forward to seeing what the next group gives ya! Hoping you have a seriously easy and profitable lambing with NO stupid lambs this time and amazing mothers!
Morning from Wis, Well crap it looks like the cold is here to stay. I hope you got all your crops in already.
You guys have such a nice operation, Teamwork and yet you are all so busy doing your own thing too. Awesome farm, nice equipment, and I did not know anything about sheep till I watched your channel
Good morning, I enjoy all your videos, they are very interesting
Animals love new spaces. Run crazy. Love how your dog runs around gives his approval
you go girl very informative channel ., I enjoy it very much

As always love watching xx
Thanks Nicky!
That was Great! Have fun on your trip!
Thanks!!
Anybody else get excited to find more videos they haven't seen yet?
me
Hi Sandi! Do your sheep and cows produce enough manure to cover your fields? You asked about content suggestions and I would love to see a video on the cows. I've been binging your channel and have to say you are amazing. I understand now the sheep barn designs and where the cows go outside. The organization required, health management, feed management, etc is unreal. Add your caring and loving attitude towards the animals and I am truly impressed. Well done!
We don't have enough sheep manure to do all our acres, but we use my in-law's chicken manure also. So we do get across the fields that are scheduled for manure (weather permitting). Not all our crops get manure each year. Maybe a third... and it gets done every three years.
The birds are deafening !!
Sandi = Once again great video! I can tell you backed a trailor a few times . keep videos coming love them . thank you .
Thanks Dennis!
It feels good to run 😆I enjoy watching it everytime.
Field Trip Friday!!! Sounds awesome 👍
I could literally watch yr lovely videos all day.
I love how they thank you with the leaps and jumps, so cute
Great video, love the back up!!! lol
Good...i love your videos! i love watching your sheep ..that is amazing
Thanks!
حكيم محمد the sheep are good girls cute sheep
Hi . watching. Your videos over time
I loved this video Sandi. I really enjoy it when you explain things step-by-step. For a city boy (old man) like me it's wonderful to understand the reasons why you do things (like why you rearranged the pens in the barn), then how you do them, then showing the results. Even watching you do the little things like hooking up the trailer are enjoyable. I must admit I was hoping to hear Mark say "manure"! I hope things go well for you at your function. Cheers! :-)
LOL! he said another version of "manure"
I would love to see chickens too
My OCD LOVES that straight line of sheep when they are getting fed lol!
Hahaha ! Me too.
Hahaha!!! I’m too old to help you, but I’d love to come and watch you for a few days!! Love your videos💕💕💕
amazing who that pen works, you can move them around so easy, and with good control..
After a day or two I'm sure those ewes lambs will realise their is more space.
Great video
Twine works for everything. Chain is for people with too much money and too much forethought. Great video once again Sandi.
I find your videos very informative and awesome.. I'm from the city n have no idea what is required to raise lambs. I love how you and This Farm Wife provide the details in plain English. 👍💪🙏🤙🇬🇺
Thats so awesome! Thank you!!
Paint mark on header of barn helps lining truck up when backing up
Sandi, The Lamb Whisperer..
That loading couldn't have been any easier .
Another video demonstrating what is involved to get the food to the table. Also I realize how similar this is to pork production and what we did on our hog farm.
Hope you had a great trip, stay safe. 🙂
Aw man! Did I just see that cute one that looked like a cow get shipped? I was hoping it was a ewe lamb and you'd keep it back. Hopefully Billy gets his game up and we get more little cow lambs in the future! So adorbs!
Seeing those little sheep butts lined up to feed is so satisfying 😁
I was sleeping to much because of counting a lot of sheep. Love vid keep them coming. I am a beef and row crop farmer from kansas
Love the intro
Post more, love your vlogs:) xx
Awesome! thanks for the feedback!
Great video!
Thanks Sarah!
nice
Sheep seem pretty smart
Sheep are clever I have sheep
5:49 hop is so cute
Those sheep are good girls cute sheep
May the fruits of your labor be profitable.
I love seeing how much the lambs weigh.
TDF honest farming has a fun video of when he first lets out the dairy cattle to the field when it finally stops raining in Oregon. They jump around and have a good time as well
When I was around 13, my dad taught me to back up with my side mirrors, that was over 50 years ago and I still only back up using only my side mirrors.
Manure uber - Manuber. XD I don't care how many times you show the routines, I just love watching you work! When do you get replacement Rams and for how many generations will you use a group of rams? Do any have names? Are they more stinky than the Ewes? (would love a video if possible)
Manuber! LOVE it! Great questions for a video!
when using the bucket on the telehandler, please set it "flatter" on the ground, it will save the tip blade in the long run on that concrete floor ;). otherwise great to see oversees sheep farming operations
I’m watching this and laughing about the back-up camera. I drive a 32 foot mobile video game trailer and I think I would quit if my back-up camera ever went out. Lol. Not that I did it for 30+ years, backing up with no camera, prior to owning the business. 🤣🤣 Nicely done without the camera!!
I just got 50,000 ton of litter. I would spread every year but I can never find enough, sometimes none. Last time I spread all my fields was 4 years ago. Last year and the year before I was lucky to find 10,000. I was very impressed by the farm you bought from. I like that it was piled indoor and looks like it’s been processed and cleaned. I buy straight out of the coop which has stones and other debris. I then have to dump it in my galvanized heat house. It’s a lot of work.
Ì enjoy your channel very much
I LOVE ❤️ watching the adults do zoomies!
That cracked me up when you opened the gate for the ewe lambs. On a side note, i have never seen a farmer tie a gate with twine...
Great info..
thank you!
Sandi Brock do you give your sheep a cuddle
Post as offten as it is convenient for you I love the vlogs and I learn so much from you, could you take us along to the stock yards next time 😇😁
Not sure if I would be able to take footage... I definitely wouldn't without permission... not that theres anything to hide... very happy with where I ship to!
Hayalimde ki tarım ve hayvancılık. çok iyi ya.Sevgilerimle.
Sandi: ready guys?
Ewes: yeah, yeah, yeah
Me: 😁😁😁😁😁
The sheep see you setting up the sorting tub and the smart ones skip lunch and take a quick poo. Whew, 2 more weeks to live.
morning all )))
6:05 the sheep in the background just jumps over another 😂
So cuuuute
Yes they are cute they are good girls cute sheep
I hope you good luck.always..aamiiinn
Apik tenan mbakyu....pengen dolan belajar mrono Salam seko Jawa Timur Indonesia
Have you ever thought about putting tennis balls at the edges of your doors for when you have to back the trailer up to it? It works for parking in the garage. Although you are getting so much better lol
Videos more often than weekly please. :) Can you do a vlog of your personal 'equipment'. i.e. what clothing you prefer for winter. overalls, gloves, boots...etc?
I love it
Thanks Matt!
New subscriber here. Love your videos. I subscribed to Instagram so I could get more
"sheep think every meal is their last" omfg thats so funny. So true. XD
They live at the present.
With regards to bunk space, on dairy cows if i remember correctly it was plus ten percent.
Loved the video as usual, would you ever film the auction process?
I would have to ask permission...
Great video Uber driver.
LOL. one for my resume...
Funny how they all run into the new space is it "the grass is greener" princaple,,,,...
They're clever sheep
Love your videos- I've watched since you only had a few hundred subscribers :) Do the prices that you get at auction fluctuate a lot? Could you share how much, on average, you sell a lamb for? Do the buyers know who the producer is so they can look for your lambs at the auction? Thanks!
Awesome video as allways you should try a long bunge cord on your guillotine gate so you don't have to tie it everytime you can just hook it
Good idea!
Beautiful 🐑 sheep music maaaaaa maaaaaa friend you no bor full day 👍👍👍👍😆😆😆😆
😀
@@SandiBrock 😂😂😂😂
Love the videos
How big is the barn
Lol...watching this content really puts into perspective how sheep-like society has become. Crazy.
boy the lambs are big already
Charles Dowd they sure are. It’s amazing and crazy how fast they can grow
Did hubby wipe his feet before hopping in the truck ? Please don't ask what mine looks or smells like.
Interesting to note all animals are alike one small crack that you don't want them to go past everyone is out however you open a gate nobody can figure it out
Thanks
I don't know which smells worse, chicken manure or pig manure. But wow are they good for the soil especially when blended with cow manure. NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potash)
What if you put a mirror on the the front of the trailer looking down at the hitch so you could see it from your mirror on the windshield or when you were looking back? I think the dawg wants you to throw a ball. (i have had two Border Collies over the years). The Chuck-it brand of ball thrower is the best! (don't use the tennis balls but buy the better rubber balls. Love your posts and nice when you show Mark too. (yes i watch his channel) :)
I would like to see how the manure is taken out of the chicken house to the storage barn .. I've never heard of that .. We always spread , not storing it, when taking out of the house .. I live in a broiler gowning area in Texas ..
Yes... here in Canada, the snow creates times of the year we can't spread the manure. So storage is really critical.
I'm had to stop a few minutes in , I once asked my vet (after a gate fell over), "do all your farms use twine to tie gates?" She said yes every one of them! My father tells me constantly to use a chain but I recently had a calf jump a gate and get her leg caught, she was fine, but if it would have been tied instead of chained my knife would have been on that twine before you could blink twice! I think twice now on where I use twine vs chain.
I totally agree!!! I always get flack for having twine... and I always reply... I can cut twine!
Thank you so much Sandi! I want to go live on your farm and be your slave labor! :) I have only 3 sheep in a very urban area with no one to teach me so these videos are so helpful. When you replace your older ewes with your new younger ones, then what do you do with the older ones? Do you take them to the sale as well? What age do you cull them? I have an older ewe and a younger one and a nice ram. Wondering when my old ewe is too old to breed. Thank you so much! Praying blessings on you and your farm.
I truly hope you answers to all of your questions. Are you still sheep farming? If so have you add more?
Do you still watch Sandi's videos? If you do I understand if you ask her questions or have a comment you want her to see do it on her Community wall. I saw someone post it once. Take care.
Hahahah motorized pooper scooper!
I drove a trailer 2000 miles without backing it once...I had so much “rage quit” happening when I wasn’t immediately good at backing it...it’s funny now...but I was mad that I couldn’t do the trailer, when I could back an ambulance up a 45 degree serpentine driveway!
I've noticed over the last while that the production quality of your videos has improved significantly i.e. captions, graphics etc. and that has to take time to do, so I say just pick a schedule that works best for you and stick with it.
Thanks Keith! Just noticing a real drop in views over October... wondering if the content isn't what people want. So I thought I'd ask my people!
@@SandiBrock It never hurts to ask. Your book arrived at my local Indigo/Chapters, going to pick it up this afternoon!
Their crazy babies
Great vlog Sandi.Good solution to the feed bunk overcrowding!Congrats! But could you please use some wd40 on the darn barn door hinges! It just makes my skin crawl.Thanks.Keep up the great work love.
Noel Martin haha my barn needs a bath in it I think 😂
I like your Bobcat, please put in the descriptions bellow what model of Bobcat is this, or any links for this awesome machine. thanks
