Larnell is definitely an outstanding drummer. His work speaks for itself. The problem, however, is that these drumming demo events NEVER allow the drummer to really fly. This type of music relies on the energy of a group of musicians interacting together, and playing to a backing track just NEVER brings that energy - and talent - to life.
Agreed. You can tell that even tho Larnell is definitely going off, he never reaches the point where every musician strives for - a flourish of emotion and spirit- simply because he’s not jamming with real live musicians. It’s like drumming on an electric kit vs an actual kit. The difference is night and day!
Does anyone know the equipment that would be needed to make a setup like this for a gig? Like a solo drummer gig where the drummer plays over music for a audience or event.
I agree with you. Used android from day 1 and switched last year to iOS. Still lacks simple functions, like send sms to groups, for instance. The settings and volume is very annoying. Also the gesture control.
