My band and I played for Clive. He and his wife Lenora have also been on my radio show a couple of times. He is the absolute greatest of them all. He is also a very warm and "temperment-free" gentleman. And just to totally astound us even further, he can also whistle brilliantly like Jolson!!! My pal Bruce Wexler said it best "If you've heard Clive Baldwin before, then no words are necessary. If you haven't heard him before, then no words are sufficient to describe him."
I was imitating Jolson by the time I was 4! Being the youngest of three kids, I came along much later in life! My late sister used to dress me up as Jolson and then entertain the family!
Lenny, I have seen Clive live, my dad served in the army with him in Egypt in the 50s and helped him claim his medal recently,I assure you there's no miming,he's an entertainer, still alive, and brilliant.
I am now 52 and still try to keep in close touch with Clive. I have been a Jolson fan since I was about 12 and when I heard Clive I just couldnt believe how much they sounded alike. Clive is now 77 almost 78, still living in Miami with his wife of 40 years. He will probably out live all of us!. thanks for watching and commenting. I will post more as soon as Clive makes New stuff and gives me permission to post. take Care! Jeff Harris
Thanks, for “ posting “ and this “ is on a different “ level” when Larry Parks, who was simply “ brilliant “ with his “ miming “ In the Jazz Singer, now if you didn’t know, Clive, you would honestly think it was, Jolson, singing. What an “Outstanding “ performance, And he does, the “ Whistling” as well. 😉
Saw Clive Baldwin perform in Glasgow, Scotland a few years ago. Great show. Great entertainer. He lives in West Palm Beach Florida. Not sure if he is still performing in 2016.

Either that, or insulted that anyone but himself could portray himself. The man did have quite a huge ego.
Tyler Blevins deservedly so.
