I was diagnosed in March with cancer and watched your vlogs to get me through the process. I'm now "cancer free" but have my 3 month check this month and have so much anxiety. Watching your videos made me realize that all my emotions and feeling are normal and i'm not alone.
Congratulations! Those checkups are brutal. I know my hospital puts those patients at the top of the list so they can be notified usually the same day to cut down on that anexity. However it doesn't help with the anexity you have before your appointment. I hope you get a clean bill of health. ❤️❤️❤️
I’m a stage 3 Hodgkin’s survivor as of March this year, our treatment plan seemed identical and I finished chemo 2 weeks after you. So sorry you had to go through the scary unknown recently! I know what you mean about cancer not just going away. Much love to you and prayers for health 💕
I had my cancer diagnosis two years ago, Had surgery, cancer removed and am watching blood work every 6 months. Your doing great and your up beat attitude is a strong weapon against cancer, today is our life, tomorrow has not happened. I'm happy to be a subscriber to your channel
as a teenager in arizona, just drink lots and lots and lots of water! most people also like to go swimming but i honestly don’t even know how we survive the heat lol!
Personally I think that's the hardest part of recovering from cancer. Everything you feel could indicate your cancer returned. I'm a nurse in an ER and we see so many cancer patients who are worried their cancer has returned and don't want to wait for an appointment with their oncologist. They want labs and a scan. Which makes perfect sense to me. I would do the same thing. I do wish I could say that's just your mind playing tricks but unfortunately that's not the case with everyone. Cancer is just brutal
I am a 12 yr breast cancer survivor and worrying about until the 5 year mark and being cancer free. The only time I worry now is when I go for my mammogram annually. Your positive attitude will help you get thru this. As far as your PTSD you can mention it to your oncologist. There are many support groups for cancer patients. I will keep you in my prayers. As far as the humidity take advantage of AC. Growing up I used to visit relative in Mississippi which gets very hot and humid during the summer. My relatives would get up early and do errands or chores as soon as got up. Midday they would rest indoors. At night they would finish what had not be done.
I am so glad you share your story, I currently am waiting to get a biopsy to know if the mass I have on my neck is something to worry about or not. I have been waiting to know this for about 2 months, the wait drives me crazy sometimes and it gives me so much anxiety. I have tried to stay positive while I wait for the actual results but it is really hard. You are so strong and I keep you and your family in my prayers
i was just in arizona yesterday (i live in San diego) it was 115° and what i did was just go to stores that have AC and wear ‘summer clothes’! just keep HYDRATED!!! drinks tons of water and treat yourself to ice cream
Im so glad you're ok🙏🏽 all of your emotions you talk about I totally can relate to having just gone through chemo for stage 3 Hodgkin's myself. Thank you for sharing. It helps me to know that I'm not crazy for the feelings I have and that it's true that's it's definitely harder after chemo mentally than during. Take care! Stay safe and I wish you the very best on your journey ❤️
Thank goodness! Can only imagine how gut-wrenching that wait must have been. Hideous. You look amazing and healthy and glowing, and although it’s not your choice you really do suit the hairstyle, makes your eyes pop! Beautiful.
Having had a few cancer scares myself, some of the things you said here were so relatable! The waiting games with this stuff are the WORST. Your hair is really cute right now!
Sending love and healing vibes from Phoenix, AZ! BTW, I deal with the heat by staying indoors with the AC always on and I have an evaporative cooling fan in my room for extra relief. I drink chilled Pedialyte and eat popsicles all day and try to stay as relaxed as possible!
Oh, Kam. The relief. I’m so happy for you. I don’t think any of us could have guessed what you were quietly dealing with in New York. Thank you for continuing to inspire us with your positivity and your honesty. Keep cool. I’d better check in on my PDX pals. x PS Your hair looks fab! Truly.
Thank you for being open about your ptsd. As someone who also experiences that due to childhood abuse and trauma, I love that you are destroying the stigma that ptsd/c-ptsd only happens to veterans or people who have been apart of war. Which is obviously not true but is still a thing for many people.
So happy for you. I guess once you have cancer you'll always have it on the back of you mind. By the way I love how you're sporting your recent new hair do. Good luck in whatever you do 😊❤
As someone who grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, there is AC built into allllllllll houses. You're basically shut inside all day, moving from climate controlled building to oven temp car to climate controlled building lol I moved away after highschool. I like being outside too much lol
I live in West Linn…. The heat was awful. Damn it was tragic with all the people that died. We have roll AC but no central air!! Praying we don’t have another heat wave. Also praying you stay cancer free forever!!!!!!! ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🥰🥰🥰
Hi Kam.i am so glad that you are ok.you must have been terrified.by the way you look absolutely brilliant.you look so happy and you look so healthy also.i am so pleased for you.take care.love your videos.glad to see and hear you again.👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😀😀😀
We’re in North Mississippi, where humidity and mosquitoes go hand in hand. Everyone has air conditioning- truly, I would not make it without air conditioning. My husband is from Longview, WA, so I’ve been there and can’t imagine the heat y’all are enduring. But that’s what we do here - air conditioning. I hope and pray you stay well and stay healthy always. You’re a lovely young woman. I’ll be following you too. God bless you.
Hey gorgeous!! So happy to see you in my description box today…I couldn’t believe you had the will not to open your report. So crazy happy for you & am SO ready for hot girl summer 🔥💓
I've lived in Phoenix, Arizona my whole life and i'm not kidding when I say that we don't go outside in the summer. The walk from the car into the grocery store is awful enough... lol. What saves us is our A/C and we just deal with the outrageous electricity bills in the summer months. I pray for those without A/C. My only advice is to stay hydrated, stay sane, and make sure doggos aren't burning their paws on the pavement/asphalt :/
wow, you ray of sunshine. love you so much. so sorry you are dealing with the fear and anxiety of it all, sending lots of prayers for your continued health and strength!!!
I am in Texas and we either stay inside in the ac or get in the pool, which now feels like a bath tub because it’s been so hot. Good luck with the heat!
@@KameronMcKenzie well, if you are ever in my neck of the woods come on by and have a relaxing day by and in the pool! So glad everything turned out to be good with your health.
Whew. I am sooo happy for you that all came out well. I'm so sorry that you had to deal with all the emotions that came with it. That's a very tough emotional roller coaster and very justified!!! BTW you look super adorable with short hair. Just saying. Hugs...
A little off topic but I live in NC and it gets hot enough here that most of us have central AC. Is that the same in Washington or does it usually stay cool enough to get by with fans? It was 105 degrees at the Olympic trials and I thought how are they going to survive without having a heat stroke. Personally I like it cool anyway and I would of been miserable but it makes sense because why would you invest in something like that if your not going to use it all the time.
I am so glad to hear that the scare turned out to be good news in the end!! keep hanging in there Kam, you’re doing amazing! ps i love the hair! you look beautiful as always 💛
I live in Arizona and we just deal with it 🙃 I try not to complain about the heat too much because I signed up for heat when I moved here … but for others who deal with it in other states I feel really bad because it can be debilitating!
in az to beat the heat - dont go outside lol. also i dont know one habitable building here without ac. I guess ac isnt common all across the US. thats news to me haha
To God be the glory, great things he has done and continues to do. I pray that God will continue to give you the strength and keep you in optimal health. Be blessed!
Hi! First of all congrats on going through this whole scary journey💖 I'm so glad you are ok and healthy :) I just wanted to know what's a senior in college as I am from Spain and we do have a different schoolship structure. p.s: so sorry if anything I said wasn't right written 😊
