I’ve got a magpul MOE regular GF3 forged and honestly I love it. I have a mlok mvg foregrip, JMAC customs 2C slim compensator, Midwest industries 2nd Gen optic mount and a sig Sauer Romeo 5 dot. I love shooting it, getting the rifle for 600 really opens up budget for chucking other stuff on it.
I just realized how great that muzzle brake is. its a keymount which means a deadair suppressor can easily be attached. Im thinking of buying this but in the GF4. I was wanting the folding stock though and ALG trigger. all they have in stock right now is PSA nickle boron trigger and ar stock. Thanks for the video I want this in the 12.7 or 14.7 inch with the keymount brake and folding stock so bad!!!.
Just ordered the PSA AK-47 GF3-E with the 13.7 barrel pin and weld I cant wait to get my hands on it! Thanks for the video its feeding my excitement!

I just received my GF3-E. It was the cheapest one they had, but it has everything (other than a tunable gas block) it wanted for $899. Folding stock, Border Guard green handgrip and top cover. Nice little shorty! You get a rifle, but only 3" longer than my Draco NAK-9, when both are folded. Since it's pin and welded, I'll just have to get a tunable gas piston for my Dear Air suppressor.
The AKP has been excellent for me but I did add a ALG recoil spring to reduce felt recoil.
A month? How did I miss this video? Friggin algorithm gods. I just bought a psa ak104 pin/weld model last night at 10pm. Then I log on and see 704 posts an AK-E review?

Got a regular GF3 and installed JL Billet handguard. Had issues with fitment on the gas tube cover and left the ODG magpul one on. Kinda gives it a pop with ODG magpul grip. Put a CNC Warrior folding stock. Love this gun. Putting a Definitive Arms Fighter Brake (from AKOU 47-79 store) is a surprise big upgrade if you're not pin & welded
What platform did you choose on the cnc warrior website when buying the folding stock? C39, SAM7K… etc
My GF5 has run flawlessly so far. Paid right at 1k for it. It came with the ALG trigger and FN barrel. Deadair wolfman is on the way, I’ll be able to use it on the GF5 and the AKV
just ordered mine today. i got the folding stock with the magpul forgrip anf alg trigger. the furniture is olive colored and i couldn't be more excited.
I'm actually looking into adding both of them to the collection. How are you loving the AKV?

The GF3-E is everything that 704 Tactical describes in the video. I love this rifle but it is a bit finnicky with magazines that none of my other AKs have issues with. Metal Korean and Croatian mags are going to fit sometimes and sometimes not. I realize that this is likely a magazine construction issue but they all work in my other AKs. Irons accurate out of box, red dot mounted forward was much fun and remained accurate throughout 320 rounds, no issues. Buy one, you'll like it!
I love mine too but had same mag fit issues - out of all my mags, only had two metal bulgy mags and the one it came with fit. I might have to dremel the others a bit to fit. But otherwise, amazing AK!
I have a GF5 redwood and a 103 with MOE triangle polymer stock and voodoo wood up front. I want to get a JL billet gf3 or gf4 maybe next year or something. I really appreciate what they're doing for American AK's I think (and hope) things will only get better and better thanks to the standard they are approaching.
dont get a jl billet railed dust cover their mounting system is a single screw and it doesnt hold zero. i have one and it shifts like a mf. if you want a railed dust cover you pretty much have to go with Midwest Industries or Zenitco

I have a PSA G3 that I have “M4’d” . I suggest the Magpul Zhukov folding stock . It’s inexpensive and you can run it with stock folded.

At a 1k get a polish rifle guys, chrome lined barrels and aks built to correct spec. I want to support psa aks but mine came with a bent piston, looks like it wasn’t assembled right so they had to slightly “tune” the piston to make it cycle.

It’s crazy nowadays that this is budget friendly. Those days when an AK was $300 are long gone. But doesn’t mean they are not worth it now. The design is just proven and has earned its worth. Great video though, I love your content
That’s is if they can be built right consistently in a large quantity with minimum QC issues and PSA has been doing that. They deserve a lot of recognition.
If people chose the right leaders cheap ak's will return.

It’s an investment to set up the tooling necessary for manufacturing and not many domestic companies are. For what PSA has done for US markets I’m ok with prices being higher now. Plus Covid fuckery lol

Zpap and kusa kp9 are also very good competitors just under 1000 or a little over depending on the site you buy it from.
But they don't have forged bolt and trunnion like Palmetto State Armory. They are built to last.
@@LosDoyerss There are forged. One top of that they trunnion is bulged. Receiver is 1.5 thick. Barrel is CHF CL. They are built to RPK specs.
Just ordered one and the lower front handguard popped off.have you hand any issues with the sling attachment on the front seems to be the issue on mine.im going through return repair process hopefully it's painless and quick time will tell.

Just stumbled upon this video. Amazing . Quick question, can you add the PSA hinged dust cover with the picatinny? This would be an awesome build if possible.
I love PSA and I love my Gf3 but im not sure how much I trust those hinged dust covers (unless you don’t mean the ones with pic rails on dust cover like zenitco). I would rather have a good quality optic mount for it like Midwest industries than a dust cover rail

@@jonspeed9570 dust covers with rails generally aren’t solid mounts and have trouble holding zero, but with that being said: zenitco rails (edit, like the B-33) and those that mount similarly that have additional points of contact on the hand guard are much more solid.

I hope you did more research in the last month for your dust cover. There are several that work great. The Texas Weapon Systems Dog Leg Gen2, the FAB Defense PDC (which does require just a slight bit of sanding down to fit the front lip, but one “helluva” tight fit) and of course the ZenitCo ALL have phenomenal return-to-zero capability. Think about the method of figment. There’s four surfaces that have to line up accordingly with each other and a spring-retention system under constant pressure. Anything that isn’t sheet metal is gonna give at the very least a reasonable minute-of-man accuracy. The TWS has even been used in legitimate police service. The FAB has a pedigree that’s so considerable for the reasonably priced market grade, it’s almost unarguable. And the ZenitCo; hell, that doesn’t even need any talking up. It’s already earned the trophy.

Is that piston straight? I rolled the dice on the GF4 and it came with what I found out is considered a “tuned” piston. Kind of sketch.

I picked up the 16” version for Black Friday. It doesn’t fit any of my other ak mags which is lame, but other than that I’ve been loving it.
Does it have its own mag?
@@cameronwest1423 psa makes ak mags and they all fit fine it. I emailed them about it and they said i need to fit my mags. Which means sand/file them down in spots. I did that to one of my Bulgarian polymer mags but now that one is super loose in my other aks.
15k rds into my PSA AK-E- still not a single FTF or FTE. Their upper tiers really are legit.
Imagine being able to afford 15k rounds yet having chose a PSA...
@@jthartman9639 PSA's AK's are quite good, especially the ones with the FN barrels. My 103 has like 4k rounds thru it with no issues, and it 's really pretty well gassed for a production 7.62 AK.

@@mcbosco1 that was one point that drew me in to try one. Most AK ammo is bimetal jacket, so I was curious to see if it would extend the barrel life. It’s changed my opinion of PSA.
Are the barrel threads and shoulder concentric to the bore? Great package including the pin and weld but did PSA validate concentricity so that this can be used with a key-mount attached suppressor?
Had mine checked in December and it's perfect. Sandman looks and feels rock solid on it.
Nice gun. Is your level for the upper rail hard to put down when you put the gas tube back? Mine was really tight. Could not do it by hand at all. Wonder if yours is the same.
They are all extremely hard. If it's built tight. My old yugo was loose as hell and it drove me crazy.

Glad I bought all of my AKs when they were dirt cheap. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on an AK or A/R nowadays.
Back when AKs where cheap and weren't what all the "cool" kids were buying it made sense to buy them. I think you're better off with an A/R for less now.

PSA has blem A/R kits and sales on uppers and lowers. IMO your better off going that route.
I have the PSA 104 ak with that rail system but darn mine wobbles and no way it can keep zero. Is a good ak though, and dont plan to put a optic that far up anyways besides my handstop aand light. Use a MI side rail for dot and magnifyer.
Make sure the screws are tight on the handguard

I think the PSA generation 5 models with an FN CHROME LINED BARREL are the BEST PSA has to offer.
I went to PSA to buy one of them but I got a AR-10 instead. It's definitely next on my list. I hate PSA I go in there to buy a box of ammo and end up spending $1000 LOL

Ive never bought a store AK . Ive built my own. Its still doable under 500 but its getting really hard to do nowadays...1000+ for an ak is ridiculous ! When i first started building guns in college 2014 you could build an ak for 400$ and we used to clown on the AR guys for spending 1000+ 😂 now its the other way around....thats stupid
What do you mean by build? Where do you source parts for them? I haven't ever seen any ak prts in really any shops. Kits, yes but not individual parts like with AR's.

Gloves are a must with AK platform imo. Regardless of furniture. You run a couple mags shooting fast that bitch will get hot

Recoil isn't so bad but perhaps you could put a rubber slip on pad for just about any stock you like. I got a couple of them from kusa for like $12 each, mainly so the stock doesn't slip, but it definitely reduces felt recoil also.

I almost bought that same model 2 weeks ago, but they sold out while I was waiting for my paycheck. Instead I got a psak gf4 alg pistol. Can't say I'm upset though

Jim Fuller had an excellent first impression of this rifle, and assured a follow up. I don't think it ever materialized though. At least I never saw it. There have been very few negative reports that I have seen. PSA seems to be going the right direction with this platform, despite the gnashing of teeth from the "nyet" euro only fanboys. I really want the new spiker. For nostalgia sake.

I've owned 4 PSA AK's, a GF3, GF4, GF5, and their AKV-9. They have all had some quality control issues except for the AKV. As a result I have sold all of them except the AKV and decided to invest money into higher quality imports to achieve a similar outcome. Now that said I completely agree with your point that this is the best value AK out there right now for the $ spent. The important parts are now all forged, add the m-lok railed handguards, ALG, shortened barrel with jmac muzzle device, m4-stock adapter and Magpul furniture, you would be in a small fortune doing this to any base model AK. It seems with time PSA is getting their QC tightened up and I am hopeful there will come a day when they will be on par with the high quality imports at much fairer price
imports are becoming slim pickings i sure miss the good ole days
