omg when Sean came on to sing his verse ans the fucking rick and morty reference combined with the constant playing of the sweet child of mine riff being played as joke in between songs makes me happier than ive ever been XD
@@lookforthegood1 Yeah, but there's a huge difference in noodling all over the fret board and finding something that's musically strong to play for a "lead" that doesn't overpower the lead singer. Quickness isn't everything in music.

Brendan's vocals have gotten so great, he's always been a really emotive singer, but technically I think he's gotten awesome. Like that natural vibrato that came out in the beginning of Apple Cider was beautiful.
Love how a lot of bands fuss over tone and pedals and shit and modern baseball just show up with two acoustic guitars and a mic and play a bunch of songs that use electric guitar with effects
2px I mean I think there’s a lot to be said for having a good tone, and most of the time Modern Baseball do use a variety of pedals. But it says a lot that their songs hold up without all the extras.
I miss this band for not just the music but for looking like genuine dude having fun not trying to push an imagine or act a certain way it makes the entire gig so much more fun I wish they would come back:/
Mobo are one of my all time favorite bands, and all their music is absolute perfection to me. I can't wait to see them on 6/24/16 in NYC! I'm awaiting the day they gain more popularity and the recognition they deserve!
Hey mobo family. Hope you're doing well in the world. I feel like I'm getting older quick and these guys and this video in particular bring me back to my youthful days of teen angst and sad songs.
I prefer Brendan's vocals imo Jake is good but just doesn't give me the honest openness that Brendan gives I feel when he sings. Its like he opens his soul and is politely letting me in showing me life is hard no matter what obstacles come your way other people have been there and its okay; a warm security net that was never there in my life. Jake I just hear him not feeling the emotions. Maybe its just me.
brendan's vocals are more angsty (for lack of a better word) => more emotional and open in a sense but the way jake words his songs is so precise and meticulous that it feels personal on a whole new level. and when he performs them it's like he is sharing a 'hidden' part of him, letting everyone in on his frame of mind. i get a strong sense of catharsis from both of them, they just express themselves differently. maybe it all depends on who you can relate to more?
dogcore I think that Holy Ghost was Brendan’s best album, he had a lot of bad times when they started recording it and you could really feel the emotion from his songs
"at least that's what I tell Drake" and then Jake's little smile I'm dead

watching bren play a lot of the lead parts on guitar really shows how much he progressed as a guitarist through mobo’s career

"Sean come sing this"
"At least that's what I tell Drake"
I live for the high pitched "thanks" Jake does constantly during live shows when they finish a show.
this is so important
these guys know how to write some songs.
been coming back to this video for 6 years now
"Hey Sean, come sing this!" Made me unbelievably happy

Note To Self is the best song off of the new record. Fact.
