I’m 33, never really gave them a shot and now I’m crying in my car listening to Why Would I Watch. I haven’t connected to an album in its moment like this since I listened to Home Like No Place Is There. “THE HIGH HAT! USE THE HIGH HAT!”
Fellow punk rockers, 33 yr old and found them just last week. It made me so nostalgic but also happy to see that there are newer bands from the genre that are sick. BCKYRD is my favourite song for now. Powerful shit!
I love the band, but the musician in the band for me is the drummer. Brandon's fills and energy gives so much life to the songs. SHOW THAT PERCUSSIONIST SOME LOVE RUclips
I'm a drummer, and the drummer really makes this band for me. Love the guitars and singing as well, they're all incredible musicians. But if they didn't have such a solid drummer the music would be missing something.
I don't know why it took this comment for me to actually realize how integral the drums are to some of these songs. Damn, now I have to listen to like, their whole discography again but focus on drums.
Couldn't have said it better. Very dialed in sound from these guys. SO stoked the pop punk nostalgia from early 2000"s is still going stronger than ever
When i listen my body finally calms, my brain stops to listen, not to talk. The past is farther away, and the future is closer, and my lost loved ones feel closer. The cloud lifts for 2:30 and i feel not as alone. Thank you...more than you know.
This band is the cutting edge of pop punk right now. Their sound is so familiar and iconic but also so fresh. These guys grew up listening to Blink, Fall out Boy, The Wonder years and they are carrying on the vibes and lyricism that makes those bands so great.
@@banus420 thank you. I can't believe how good their sound is, so much generic pop punk out there has me giving up on the genre, these guys are reigniting my passion.
Really? I can’t hear any of those influences.. they sound a lot more like 90s emo like American Football or very early Jimmy Eat World (Static Prevails) in fact they literally start this with a J.E.W cover
@@ktotheitothembex That's really interesting. I guess it's because I grew up on those bands I listed and they are their contemporaries in many ways, so I can hear those influences. But I also see what you mean, I just never listened to Jimmy Eat World much or American Football so those don't spring to my mind. I guess with Fall Out Boy it's less the sound and more the lyrics and song titles, the vibe of writing. But they probably did grow up listening to early Jimmy Eat World so you are probably spot on, I might go listen to their early stuff to see how I like it.
So grateful for these guys right now. Just finding these guys in my 30s and I feel robbed. THIS. I needed this. I wish I could sit down and just have coffee with these guys. So many music questions. Dayseeker, sleep token, hot mulligan, the plot in you, Westside boogie and JID are singlehandedly getting me through life right now. 😂😂😂😂
I always doubted being able to sustain those notes throughout the whole show, but holy shit. This might be one of the best basement sessions performances I’ve ever seen. Everything is so clean and perfectly executed.
@@charliehendrix1265 I don't think it's autotuned so much as when they're live on stage they're putting more physical energy into their performance which makes it harder to sustain vocals for an extended period of time. Here they're just chilling. And likely taking breaks and resting between songs.
Love how one is wearing a Buc-ee Tshirt, Levi's hoodie, Dark Souls III Tee and a self Hot Mulligan Tshirt. Bunch of dudes just chillin' and making sick music
They sound better here than they do on their records, huge props for that. I've listened to this at least once a day for months. Can't get enough of these intimate live performances

Seriously... The additional grit on the vocals in LGFUAD makes it infinitely better than the original imo. Still love the original but I do appreciate some grit.
Tasteful move opening with that super solid cover of Bleed American. Love these guys more and the more I listen. Reminds me of the bands I was playing with 10-15 years ago. Glad to see pop punk still has its thriving pockets in the world.
Brilliant set list. Love the LG FUAD cover followed by Feat/ Mark Hoppus given that Hoppus produced the LP that song comes off of (Commit This to Memory). Love the Hot Mulliverse.
