Yeah saw them in Portland OR knew almost all the the words it was awesome. The crowd was really fun lots of polite moshing in the hottest venue I have ever been to. I was drenched in sweat after not sure how much of it was mine lol.
19:08 minutes of my life I will never get back...and minutes I'll never regret losing. This is possibly the best thing I've listened to since American Football and Antioch Arrow.
Dont know if ill ever get tired of this album. I like it actually more as ive matured. Just turned 29. Definitely reminds me of the years after highschool but i can actually appreciate the simplicity and good songwriting even more now. " you treat it like a game of skill, but its more like a work of art, or money in a christmas card." I think that part is about music like.. its not a game of skill, someone with a few chords and emotion and something to say can make great music however the ability to succed and have the instruments space to make noise etc for this kind of music is also a privilege, like money in a christmas card. Now im thinking about it way too hard lol
An entertainer I follow recently said "whatever your doing in those hard times is what's saving you, it's meaningless I've gotten hundreds of those messages" And it's true, I've found some relief in hectic or mundane things. But this type of music Is explicitly emotional, I do think it hits a bit harder. Anyway, just thinking out loud. Glad your doing better mate!
there was a girl I met online that i talked to for three month's straight everyday and night. she woke me up and wished me goodnight by Skype everyday. third month I drove to meet this lady and found out she had a boyfriend the whole time and stopped talking to me the same day after a full week of chillin at her house. this whole album reminds me of her and those three months. thank you jm I feel better now.
i just fond out about this band when i heard 'Catalina Fight Song' and i decided to listen to the album and i think i love it. Bands dont make songs as good as these anymore...
Otaku Child You're new to music that isn't spoon fed to you, aren't you? You do realize this album came out in 2014 and there's hundreds of modern bands that are even better than joyce manor
CoOlBeatBrEaker I'm only being honest, people who say "this generation has bad music" or "the good music is long gone" are usually listening to nothing of substance that happens to make contact with them. If you take a an hour to search up music on your own you'd know that music is better than ever and easier to find now too, if you care at all.
Wonder Bread I wasn't saying that bands or artists these days have bad music, what I meant was that this band sounds like many rock bands sounded back in the early 2000's, and I really enjoyed listening to songs like that, that now a days only few bands have. Oh and by the way, I listen to many different kind of bands and artist, old and new music and I know that just because we live in different times it doesn't mean that all the music these days sucks. And also, everyone has different opinions.
I just discovered this band, I love their sound and listening to their lyrics I relate to some songs in my own weird way, and it kinda helps me self reflect, good music👏👏👏
jm is a perfect blend of pop punk, emo, sometimes even skate punk like the jerk. Thats why i can always jam to these guys whereas other bands in their gen are too emo/whiny for me lol
Great job !!!! They're going for that Andrew Jackson Jihad feel!! I love it ! I actually go to the same high school these guys use to go to Narbonne High !
I thought they would change their style after the last two albums that were the best ones and had a similar sound, but they surprised even me more. Its cool that they are faithful to the kind of music that makes them different. Because tygers jaw never actually change, every album sounds good but kinda the same.
I'm gonna be a critic for just a moment an say this is far better than their second album in every aspect. I dunno about their first though, they've yet to produce an equal to Constant Headache, not to me anyway, and the closer on this one, Heated Swimming Pool, is particularly weak. Nevertheless, this is their most mature effort yet and I appreciate how they've evolved. Love these guys
I feel like a lot of people shit on that second album. I loved their second one, although, I will admit, at first, I was a bit surprised. "See How Tame I Can Be?" still might be my favorite song of theirs, lyrically and musically. I felt songs like that were a huge leap for them from the self-titled and other releases before that. I love this new one, too, but I have no qualms against the second. You're in good company, though. I know Joyce Manor has been vocal about how much they dislike it.
Idk about u guys but this reminds me of pre-civil war cannibal tribal rnb folk pop. u guys need 2 listen to more things and by that i mean u should listen to what i listen to ;)
They do in 19 minutes what most bands can’t achieve in 60 minutes.
My girlfriend says something similar about me
@@isaiahsea3248 underrated comment...
they did it on their self-titled
Bore me?
@@pjslon2218 yeah just enough to make you troll in the comments

THIS ALBUM IS A WORK OF ART
19:08 minutes of my life I will never get back...and minutes I'll never regret losing. This is possibly the best thing I've listened to since American Football and Antioch Arrow.

Wow 7 months and I'm still sad

this album makes my life seem kinda okay
this album came out in my last year of high school, so nostalgic
Gonna see them and AJJ next month :)))) Very excited.
I'll be there too 8)
This is one of my new go to Christmas albums. It not being about Christmas is beside the point.

GREAT album!!!!
Been listening to punk rock since I was 13, 35 now and just hearing Joyce manor and holy fuck. Amazing
I discovered this group about a month a half ago and they’re amazing! I love this album!
But. Great Album. And. Saw them in Lancaster, PA. ENJOYMENT was had.
Happy 10 years!
Heated Swimming Pool is one of my favorites, and I think it was a sublime end song! Stay well, friends.
their best album.
This album is so fire. Still to this day it’s just the best pop punk that ever existed. IMO
i wish i had a band
Falling in love again is perfect, my favorite song by them
falling in love again is my favorite
No matter what happens in life I will always find myself back here
Oct 2022 and I always come back to this album ❤️
can't wait to see these guys live!
jm is a perfect blend of pop punk, emo, sometimes even skate punk like the jerk.
Thats why i can always jam to these guys whereas other bands in their gen are too emo/whiny for me lol
I'm not one for going deep into the genre rabbit hole. But if I had to call it something by your words. Skate punk emo sounds just about right
i don't often feel this much, but listening to falling in love again just overwhelms me...
Piotrek przyszedł, Piotrek wyszedł, to zabawa w "znajdź różnicę".
Just when I thought punk rock was becoming boring, I found Joyce Maynor. This band is fucking awesome!!!
tomorrow will go to joyce manor concert, i'm so exciteeeeeeeeeeeed
Hell yeah! Kickass album! Heated Swimming Pool is good and all but I wanted a more epic closer! Im just nitpicking though.
Fantastic album
Sweet lord these guys are amazing.
I'm loving this sound!!!

Literally the softest band in existence.
The Pastels!
@yakadouloo I LOVE THE SOFTIES I LOVE ROSE

This álbum is fucking awesom! 👏👓
Make me feel like 90's again 🎧👕👖
sounds like kermit the frog did vocals on victoria
Lmfaoo
Shit still makes me laugh a year later
This band is insane live. I am glad I was able to crowd surf 2x during their set.
Thank you for providing me with excellent background music while I'm working through the shit life is throwing at me. Lmao
heated swimming pool is a hymn
Failed to dissapoint.
Unlike me
the guy on the cover reminds me of brian murphy from college humor
OrganizedMadnes pretty sure he plays guitar in the band maybe bass
@@RonniTsunamiYGO Guy on the cover is Matt Ebert, their bassist and backing vocalist.

i love that its Frances Quinlan of hop along on the cover lol
Feeling pitiful and nostalgic today
such a classic
Good stuff.
Ya know I think about it stillll
Only album Ive cried to ever so I guess that means anything
you cried to Butterfly
If Weezer and Blink 182 had a kid, this'd be it.
cabsk8er7 I feel like Joyce Manor is like if Alkaline Trio and Death Cab For Cutie (first 3 albums) had a kid.
TokenChineseGuy's Rare Music!
+CABon8wheels Blink? wtf?!
Nah it's like if Jawbreaker sat on Taking Back Sunday's face
please don't
In the army now has THE solo
This is a weirdly great album to become hanged over to, and also once you're hung over it's good.
cleaning out my house and crying
christmas card
This album reminds me of a guy I haven't met yet.
my next relationship goal is to feel like this record sounds, permanent relationship mood this more like Alkaline Trio "Good Fucking Bye" lol

Yeah definitely wish there was a better closing song like the self titled but great album overall!
