Hi Squidge... I have enjoyed your last couple videos regarding the All Black's. I am an Auckland based rugby fan and very much looking forward to the RWC. I think this tournament is very much up for grabs by three or four teams. Australia showed in Perth that if you bring the right head space and intensity along with ball position.. you can beat the All Blacks. The rest of the rugby world has caught up to NZ with the style of play which is exciting to watch. The difference will be ball procession and fitness.. and some luck. The All Blacks have some fantastic fast outside backs who will love the dry hard conditions in Japan and that's where we will attack. Can't wait!! Good luck Squidge and keep up the good work!!

I feel that even though the All Blacks have been favourites for all but one of the WC's they haven't been the best team for at least 2. Pre Australia we had changed coach in a ugly knee jerk reaction and the year before our first capitulation to France we had lost 5 in a row under John Hart. This group has the ability to win this WC, it's just up to Shag to squeeze consistent levels of accuracy at pace out of them. Once again another quality video. Can't wait for the WC.
Judging by Ireland's recent form and Scotland's woeful away record, I don't think it will be much of an upset in Pool A. I really do think that Fiji are the most likely to cause an upset; but then again the whole thing with an upset is that no one could have conceivably predicted it.
The All Blacks are still the best side in history. The problem with that is that history comes up to the present. So if they want to keep that moniker , they need to make the present team better. However, that being said, I would hate to be Wales Friday. The Kiwis are going to be pissed after losing ( however it was their own damn fault ) to England.

But how else do you do it? Based on a hunch? Reputation? Got to be down to games won, points scored, based on a crazy maths algorithm. But I know what you mean, Wales (or England for that matter) would need to win a series in NZ to be seriously considered to be best in the world. The no.1 ranking for Wales was fleeting.
No one ever said they were the best team in the world, they were simply ceded number 1 for a bit. That is a huge difference and when you start to see that the rankings ARE the "crazy mathematical algorithm", you will not take it so seriously.
Hey from NZ. Wow you are awesome mate! These vidz are so much better than the average boring regurgitated crap that you would usually get. Well done for persevering on this and please keep the videos coming.
The most open world cup in history is because of the reasons you laid out in your video Squidge. All Blacks appear more vulnerable leading into this tournament than the previous two. Thats what excites and gives fans hope about their own teams chances. I'm not so concerned about the comparatively mixed results this four year cycle for NZ, the team has learned since 2011 that a tournament is not the same as playing a test season, you only need to peak for 3 games to win a world cup and you don't have to win them by large margins or with a bonus point. Even unexpected injuries to key players won't unsettle this team like it will for others - 2011 taught them to expect the unexpected, 2015 taught them to walk towards and embrace the pressure. What will 2019 teach them?
Nah he won't do them, partly because he's Welsh and partly because they're just warm ups. He made a pretty detailed comment on Reddit. I don't have a link but it basically said England were good and Ireland weren't and then they gave up
Ben Andrews pretty biased to just ignore any game where England play well and try to almost pretend it didn’t happen, especially for the England v Wales game when England won! I guess it would be a lot of work to make videos for all the warm up games though!
@@jackyarrow9442 surely it'd be pretty biased just to have the england games analysed on the channel when Scotland v France, the Pacific Isles matches and South Africa winning the rugby championship also took place without any content. It's difficult to take anything tangible from the warmup games with nothing at stake and the lineups and tactics constantly changing. Squidge will probably do the Samoa and Japan profile videos and then a hype World Cup intro (hopefully with predictions as well!) before the competition starts.
Aaron Samuel The England v Wales and England v Ireland games were bigger than the likes of France v Scotland and the pacific island games and therefore should get priority when it comes to making videos about them! Not to mention the fact that he’s Welsh and therefore will tend to make more videos about games involving Wales! But i do agree France v Scotland and SA winning the rugby championship were also worthy of having a video!
@@jackyarrow9442 They're bigger in rankings but not in meaning (unless people actually believe Wales are the number 1 side in the world). If every Wales, England and Ireland game were analysed the channel would be boring in my view. I wish Squidge could make a vid on every game ever but as that's impossible I'm quite happy just seeing fewer, but top quality videos on Samoa's troublesome build up and Japan's growing hopes as hosts.
I think this will be the most competitive world cup yet, which is very exciting. I'm really hoping for a Pacific Islands upset of some kind, Fiji beating Australia, or Tonga beating France... I have a sneaking suspicion Australia might struggle to make it out of group stages. And I'm going to lock it in, South Africa vs Wales final.
New Zealand in a final would be dangerous. For them to lose this world cup they'll need to be eliminated in the quarterfinals against Ireland or the semifinals against Wales. Hoping for a RSA/ENG vs Wales final.
But true to style they always "arrive " prematurely. They played their final in the semi. As they always do. They play themselves out and not enough left in the tank for the final.
The Second Crank was on tv this week. Even more legen-dairy than the first. The greatest movie franchise EVER. Starring the most talented and diverse actor of this century, arguably All-time : Jason Statham. How does he keep re-inventing himself, it's a mystery.
The rugby world 2019 is more thrilling then any other in my opinion. You can't predict the All Blacks will lose, because they are a strong team where they can comeback. It's gonna be a good world cup.
That's why the first game between SA and NZ is important. The team that loses will have to face the harder road, potentially more injury filled, higher chance of getting knocked out and insane pressure having to play top teams that have insane defense.
TheUltimate SharpShooter why is the loser the harder road? Scotland could beat Ireland and go number 1 in that group. It’s 50/50 whether wales or australia is the harder match. Second place might give the nicer draw
TheUltimate SharpShooter nah they aren’t, Rugby is more about style than you think. Historically New Zealand struggle more vs South Africa and australia due to them being able to score points. Whereas the northern hemisphere prefer dengensive style. This Scotland team is very maverick and so could be harder for New Zealand even tho they lose their group games
Under estimating the All Blacks is probably the worst thing any team could do.
Rain facts lol
I don't think anyone would underestimate them, but they have a decently set game plan to beat them now. Before it was just 'maybe today....oh nah don't worry'

Where’s the videos about the England v Wales double header, and England v Ireland?
Aaron Samuel
The England v Wales and England v Ireland games were bigger than the likes of France v Scotland and the pacific island games and therefore should get priority when it comes to making videos about them!
I’m getting so excited for the World Cup now. I’m glad Six Nations figures out what you do with the footage is definitely “transformative in nature”
Liked, subscribed. You rock this!
New Zealand in a final would be dangerous. For them to lose this world cup they'll need to be eliminated in the quarterfinals against Ireland or the semifinals against Wales. Hoping for a RSA/ENG vs Wales final.
I'm hoping but not expecting an England Wales final
@AbolK2 i'm currently expecting an England/New Zealand and a Wales / South africa set of semi finals.
Probably with an NZ/SA final
glad to see the channel still lives!
No, no they're not, RSA are gonna win it imo
what ever you say bro make mine a double
Of course you think you’re gonna win it, after a draw with the AB’s on home soil you’re now automatically gonna win the World Cup aye!!!
ran dodrick you called it 👏🏆🇿🇦
Love you Squidge. This World Cup is going to be one of the best of all time!
Now that you're back can we get that 2nd Bledisole video please? 😂
the one where he eats humble pie? yes I'm looking forward to it, although I understand if we don't see it 😅
Glad you’re back!
Make a video about South Africa plz... From Cape Town
ruclips.net/video/jJLDXD35nNs/видео.html he has
He’s made a few
The boks will probably make the Q-Finals but anything beyond that is wishful thinking
@@Thanos-kp5jr That did not age well...
@@Karma-qt4ji I'm skeptic what can i say
I genuinely love this channel.
Rewatching this after England won the semi final...
How did they do un the fin.... never mind
@@The_Vuka_Experience better than NZ ;)
I'm here after the great win by England. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The All Blacks were out thought and out fought by an England team playing complete rugby.
That’s the British flag for gods sake lol
But true to style they always "arrive " prematurely. They played their final in the semi. As they always do. They play themselves out and not enough left in the tank for the final.
They just cruised past the mighty boks and haven’t clicked into gear yet.
i wouldn't call that cruising. boks ran out of puff and deklerk had a game he probably would wish to forget
Boks would destroy every other team in this tournament apart from NZ. They would walk over Ireland and Wales.
Shaun McAdams Sips tea quietly 😶
@@Theemptythroneistaken They havent beaten NZ since 2018 sunshine :D
Enjoyed your presentation SQUIDGE you legend ! :P
the return of CRANK STARRING JASON STATHAM
The Second Crank was on tv this week. Even more legen-dairy than the first. The greatest movie franchise EVER. Starring the most talented and diverse actor of this century, arguably All-time : Jason Statham. How does he keep re-inventing himself, it's a mystery.
The rugby world 2019 is more thrilling then any other in my opinion. You can't predict the All Blacks will lose, because they are a strong team where they can comeback. It's gonna be a good world cup.
Not any longer Squidge. It’s Ireland now at no. 1 💪💪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Aaaaaaand it's gone

It felt like forever that I was waiting for this vid!
Edit: Had no idea about the infringements, glad you didn't get a red card!
As South africa are the other side of the knock out stage then it could occur that south africa knock out all the good teams in the tournament.
@@joshgoodman6534 It is designed like that. If Scotland is on form and go on a blazing run through the pools than they are the harder option to face.
