Okay... I posted the last comment before this was over. I have to say I struggle with being too busy and over planning (already watched the referenced videos) in the past 3 months I've started having some symptoms in my body. The doctors have not been able to pin it down and I'm declaring that I'm whole and healed. Anyway the point is these symptoms have forced me to rest. Sometimes i have just enough energy to snuggle my boys and read or sit on the floor and watch them play. It's so beautiful how something the enemy intends for evil can turn into a precious blessing
I struggle with spending too much time watching RUclips videos when I should be doing alot more other things like cleaning or meal prepping. #momof4boys
I'm reading walking with God in the this season of motherhood it's an 11 wk devotional each wk broke down in 5 days and last weeks section was on time management
Yea Ive been saying lately that Im wasting my time. Clean laundry sits for days.... then I wash more it piles up. I always keep the kitchen and dining room clean first, bathroom too. The laundry gets me down.... clutters my mind. I know when its not sitting on my couch and put up I feel clutter free. I just can not get it right. I have 4 kids 8 to 1... I also homeschool. But I don't have a list of chores for my kiddos. I just tell them to help me fold... and put up there clothes. Just started that recently. I do get them to tidy up there rooms. I try to do it all.
I have a 4 year old a 2 year old and a 3 month old and I'm so struggling with finding time for myself or my home it's a constant struggle! Exercise sounds amazing but can't find the time.. sometimes I feel like I am drowning!
Patrick Family Life I am in the same boat with you! Prayers for strength, perseverance and patience for you 😊 I have 3 girls; 5,3,and 1. What helps me is to be realistic and set time for each thing I feel needs to get done. Sometimes cleaning doesn't happen when I want it too but are my kids fed? Is dinner on the table? 😉 Also I follow an exercise program available for free on RUclips from a fellow mom called Bikini Body Mommy, all her workouts are no more than 20-25max minutes long. I tell my girls that this is mommy time and mommy already played dolls with you girls today so please be patient while mommy does her exercise. Sometimes they do it with me or they will go play.
Patrick Family Life oh girl, you're in survival mode, yes I've been there...drowning. Have GRACE on yourself...it's a unique season and won't last forever. If you put too much on yourself you'll miss out on the blessings in front of you.

Alana I just started watching your channel. I think you have great things to say and share. I feel like you should take your channel to the next level so you can reach more people. Keep your content more concise and in an orderly way that way you get more likes and subscribers and your message reaches more people. If you arent interested in that that's fine but I will say I struggle to follow along your videos bc they're a little look conversational. But maybe that's your style and that's fine too. For me I'd benefit from more bullet point style lol. That's just my 2 cents. It's your channel and your style that's just my request.
I would love to hear about what chores you assigned your boys as well as bible verses you feel helped them feel at ease with being given chores. My girls start out wanting to help and halfway through they get bored or the perfectionist in me takes over. My girls are 5,3,and 1.
Pucca Belle mine are 8 and 6...they take trash out, feed the chickens and dogs, gather chicken eggs, put their laundry away, set and clear the table, and tidy their bedroom and playroom. We sing songs...my husband will sing a little tune he made up "we are working men, working men we are..." 😊 I encourage them by complimenting their job well done and not "fixing" it. If it's needing a little help I'll gently instruct how to properly finish it and let them, then praise their work...scripture we use Colossians 3:23-24 and we discuss proverbs frequently..."the man who does not work does not eat..." and "a little sleep, a little folding of the hands and poverty will come upon you like a thief in the night..." just casual discussion. :) hope that helps! I wouldn't push too hard at those young ages. I think focusing on teaching them well, encouraging them, making it fun, and not having too high expectations will be helpful. Also, include them in your work...it'll take longer to complete but it's worth it:)
