We sort of expected that part to just be a bit funny and silly, but that car wasn't playing around in that dirt. We were all picking our jaws off the ground after the first lap.

We always wanted to see these specific cars go at it head to head in one video in real world driving. Though, I wish we had run the Infraction and the felony in the cone race because those being slightly slower than the XO-1 and the limitless, would have allowed for more enthusiastic driving in the tight turns since they do corner a bit better than the two speed kings do. But we figured people would rather see the two fastest models in RC history go at it instead.

We almost used them in the dirt race, but everyone brought one. The new V4 Senton in the trunk is the video we're working on next, but weather hasn't been cooperating with us lately.
Oh my goodness yes. You're exactly right. All those cars are so fast and so quick, they can get really crazy before you have time to react and be into a tree or guardrail instantly. Width is just as important and distance with cars as fast as these ones.
I bought a used felony barely used and speed pinion never installed for $500. Can't wait for this cold to break. Coincidence u post this video. Great videos. Happy New Year!!!
Felony is lots of fun. Most likely you'll want to buy a spare front differential and output pinion to put in the rear so you can run 4 of the same sized tires, and rotate them when they begin to wear (not that that takes long) My biggest issue with Felony was having to buy 2 different tire sizes, and being stuck with Hoons in the rear. GRP tires work great. I run GRP X7 for hooning around and X3 for speed runs. Tires get expensive quickly, so it's good to have options. There is no loss of stability running slimmer tires in the rear, but since the front and rear diffs are geared differently, your rear wheels will spin slower than the front wheels if you put 4 tires of the same diameter on the car. Handles like s**t.
I have a soft spot for the felony even though I own an XO-1. Something about the felony just makes me love and makes me willfully overlook its very minimal shortcomings. Almost a perfect on road car in my book.
Same here. We knew it was fast of course, it really is the fastest RTR in the world. But, it handled much better than its reputation had me believing it would. Then again, I did put some good tires on it, and adjusted the shocks a bit which made a massive difference. Maybe that's all it needed all this time.
Cool video to compare the 4 onroad speed demons.Nice xo-1 I've always wanted 1, BTW if you have no where to store the xo-1 I can keep it at my house.😅😅
Thank you! This video took a while to finish and we really appreciate people like you watching and taking the time to engage with our content in the comment section. It means more to us than we can express.
It sure can, at least in terms of speed. The old girl performed beyond what I expected for her age. It's still every bit as competitive as it's always been in the world of going fast, and rather quickly.
Thank you so much! It took a while to finish this video but we wanted to really show what these cars can do and why RC world is so fascinated with them. They really are like actual supercars in many ways. They're expensive, beautiful, crazy powerful and fast, and accelerate even quicker than real life super cars. Also just like real super cars, you only drive them on special occasions. My XO-1 will be cleaned, maintained and shelved for a while until the need for speed arises again.
That was a blast. This video was so much fun to make. You were right about the XO-1, it's basically just for going fast and that's about it. But with a good set of tires and a bit of adjusting it did end up handling good enough as well. But fresh out of the box, it's impossible at any speed below 50 MPH until it builds some downforce seemed.
I'm really happy you did, and I genuinely appreciate it! Our videos are taking a little longer to film and edit nowadays because of all the different cameras and multiple cars we try to include, I just hope they are worth the wait.
I prefer off-road cars on one hand, because they can go anywhere and be used at any time. But on the other hand, these speed are so fast it's hard not to be thrilled driving one. It's a bit scary as well because you always have it in your mind that one bad crash could be the end of the car beyond repair, or even worse, someone could potentially get hurt. Safety first with speed cars.
Thank you so much! We weren't sure how this video was going to turn out, we ran into several snags in filming it, took us weeks just to film, and we were worried it would seem disjointed by the time we wrapped it up. But, it turned out really well, and we're very happy viewers seem to be enjoy watching the fastest RC cars money can buy going head to head for once.
That video was a thrill to make. The cars were all insane, and to think, apart from the limitless, all those cars come with that performance straight out of the box!
Infraction is the most popular major name on road car as well I believe. It's a good balance of speed, handling, durability, looks, and price to just be a home run for Arrma. Sure the X0-1 is faster, but it's expensive, needs tuning to handle well, and it's a handful to drive below 50 MPH because without its aerodynamics kicking it, it's a difficult car to drive.
@@EJ-74 us too! It's been a few weeks of bad weather, and a few other events getting in the way of filming, but now we're getting back on track so we'll be back at it again starting this weekend.

We almost broke out a vendetta for this video. In terms of handling, the vendetta might be the best one, but it's just not quite fast enough out of the box to have kept up with these cars in the long drag races. We also didn't want Adam to bust up his vendetta since you can't buy them anymore.
And that is why Traxxas hasnt changed it at all. Why would you need to? I always read about "the XO-1 is outdated", "the XO-1 performs terribly", etc etc but as anyone can clearly see in this video, it is still top tier as far as road cars go.
It still holds up, and it's still the fastest RTR in the world. It's tough too, we crashed it at 80 and 90 MPH a dozen times and only broke one 13 year old A-arm
Ok this is awesome my style of driving and xo1 still is fast as hell too bad the electronics are garbage tho. I love felony mines a corvette c8 such a awesome speed machine great video !!!!!!
I've been thinking about the Felony C8 body. How thick is it compared to the stock Felony body ? The stock body has got to be the most durable on road body I've ever used.

@@Boogie_the_cat I don’t believe it will beat infraction out of the box , maybe the newer ones drive better out of the box but they needed a lot of tuning
maybe add fpv cameras and VR headsets or something so you can see what someone driving the car would see, but it would also help you rdrive them as there are walls that would restrict your view of the cars on most kart racing tracks.
With some foam tires and infraction will run 2.2 at about 65mph. My stock chassis infraction runs the 132 in 1.63 seconds at 85mph with some corn syrup prep!
I was told that foams would shave off a good bit of time. Once I got the XO-1 launching good, it seems like those numbers would be well within reach, but the XO-1 relies on its aero design for stability so it needs a little speed before really pinning the throttle, I might pop an AVC system on it to increase the low speed stability. Then I think really low 2's or even high 1's might be possible. It's crazy though because from about 30 MPH to 100, the XO-1 is unbelievably quick and planted, but below 30 MPH it's a handful. The difference is insane between those speeds.
Great Vid Rek. Id def choose the in Limitless as my speedrun platform or rlaarlo ak787. Im mad to see traxxas break itself out the competion right out the box. 😂😂 does the xo1 actually do 100mph out the box?
We had the Rlaarlo as well and man it zips. The XO-1 really will do 100 MPH out of the box with the provided speed pinion as long as you unlock it in the Traxxas app which makes sense because you wouldn't want a beginner buying one and trying to do 100 MPH within a mile of anyone in any direction. OMG that could get ugly. But in short, yes it really can.
I'm not saying it's the Traxxas app. Just saying that if you don't calibrate the app right then things won't read right in the app. Now I'm sure you guys did get that right, ummm more for new users, and as far as 100 miles per hour out of the box, yeah X01 will do it if you can keep it on the road and straight even with the last update to the design it still has issues of these 2 problems.
We did eventually figure out the app, it took a few mins but we got it. It's surprisingly useful actually, and in the case of the XO-1, you need access to the app to unlock the car to be able to go those speeds. I think it's a good thing as well, because you wouldn't want a beginner buying one, attempting 100 MPH and having a bad accident. Someone could get injured and property could be badly damaged. Like a Bugatti Veyron, you can buy the car, but unless you meet certain requirements, the car won't be able to go 250 MPH for similar reasons.
The Arrma can be made to go as fast, and they're cheaper as well. But I gotta say, the old girl did impress me. Over a decade old, sitting in a box for years, but we gave her a purpose for this one again. For an old car it really performed.
All we did was put newer tires on to replace the 13 year old ones, and it did between 95 and 106 MPH basically on the first attempt. The Only thing I adjusted was the ride height.
That's my X01! Or was my X01. Love the video, y'all made it all exciting to watch!

maybe add fpv cameras and VR headsets or something so you can see what someone driving the car would see, but it would also help you rdrive them as there are walls that would restrict your view of the cars on most kart racing tracks.
OMG, you may have just become the inspiration of our next supercars video!

A 100mph battleaxe 😂😂😂
In Georgia??
Yes Sir
@ I’m in the middle Georgia area
I like the RC buy that looked like a drug deal 😂.
All you have to do is really get the new upgraded V2 body shell and She’ll shoot straighter
@Rek_Rc Thats amazing. I thought it would need more than the speed pinion.
I swore Traxxas has them on their website for sale
Turns out you were right
🔥👍💪💣
Enthralling!
That's the best single word comment we've ever gotten! THANK YOU!
The one that start them the Vendetta
@@Rek_Rc very much true, but once you pull that trigger, you know your hooked baby. 🥴🤪😜🙃😄
@Johnwick-ed7vo oh yeah
I'll take an Arrma over Traxxas any day!
The Arrma can be made to go as fast, and they're cheaper as well. But I gotta say, the old girl did impress me. Over a decade old, sitting in a box for years, but we gave her a purpose for this one again. For an old car it really performed.
Set your car up properly. Remote settings
It eventually ran perfectly towards the end
$750 on the Traxxas site
WOW that's much better than the 1000 dollars they've costed the last 13 years.!
Yall really aren't that good at driving. I'm easily able to keep my xo1 and infraction straight
The channel is called Rek RC, not awesome drivers RC. But what's the difference really? If it's fun, it's all it needs to be.
X01 cannot go 100 mph out the box without some serious mods being done. Fake statement claimed by traxxass per usual
All we did was put newer tires on to replace the 13 year old ones, and it did between 95 and 106 MPH basically on the first attempt. The Only thing I adjusted was the ride height.
REK RC COOL VIDEOS I JUST SUBSCRIBED (DUB J) BKF RACING
I really appreciate that, thank you genuinely. I'll be on Urban's live on Sunday. I'll see if I can get the whole crew in there
