I had a code for a bad crankshaft sensor so I changed it. The check engine light came off, but it’s still in limp mode. Do I need to change the tranny? It’s a 2003 Suzuki grand vitara 2wd
Hi, and thanks for watching! I would rather try to take off the minus battery clamp, and wait for at least 10 minutes (restart the car's electric system) and then try to start the car.
@@DespairRepair hey, thanks for your response. I did what you said but it’s the same thing. I’m gonna take it to a mechanic to check it out
Let me know what your mechanic says and I'll do the same as I thought I had fixed my limp mode on my Lincoln LS but it came back today@@Yashabanissachar
@@reeknation2133 turns out it was a clogged catalytic converter. That cause so much back pressure that the engine couldn’t breathe. I hollowed it out and didn’t bother for a replacement since it has 300k miles. It works just fine now and no check engine light
Could be cam shaft sensor I had to change cam shaft and crank shaft sensors
1. does ''limp mode'' can happen to all cars??/ 2. replacing the transmission is the only solution for ''limo mode''??? 3. transmission fluid is the only culprit??
It can often just be a sensor that needs replacing. On my car it was a transmission speed sensor and change (drain and refill) of transmission fluid.
Wont go into overdrive ? Went to limp mode? Lights came on the dash ? Guess what it's most likely the cam phaser 2 intake 2 cam shaft yeah it's fixed.. ❤
