I have to disagree, Liverpool season was ruined by the fall out of form for all players, and also the influx of players coming bk from injury, everyone knows nunez missed chances, however while the team was on its last leg he had the team on his shoulders, and also if it wasn’t for nunez there wouldn’t have been a title charge from Liverpool…..
I think , it's true, we have disorder in the squad list, many players just aren't available, and the result is we require more from players like Nune, unfortunately.
It's our fault really, the system isn't oiled properly, it's starting to require individual brilliant from players, and that's inconsistent. Also the squad is west ham quality with only aside from four players, maybe 5.
But those 4-5 players, world class or close to it, were missing for significant number of games this season.
Aside from them we were really west ham, this season. West ham with the motivation of honouring Klopp. So we overproduced.
When we were functioning three yes ago. We had a proper dm, we weren't inverting full backs, creating defense problems all around.
We had a well oiled machine, it collapsed and we had to build something new, we called it Liverpool 2.0, some of it's parts were not there yet, so the machine wasn't fully operational. This is visible in the seasons result.
Also, this season so many players were unavailable, so many, for large stretch of time.
Some were on a first name basis with the nurse. Jota. Konaté etc...
It's squad issues, tactics issues. Jota was supposed to support Nunez and Diaz,( but he saw Salah assist record get wrecked and he bounced to the nurse's office straight after 😂).
Klopp announced his decision in January and after that Liv won many games and also the Caraboa Cup.Then many got injured and the academy helped .Later the injured players never recuperated and the congested fixtures did not help. FSG transfer policy did not help.Klopps announcement has nothing to do with late poor performances,it is the bad show of Nunez,Diaz,and
MO in front of goal.😊

I predicted Liverpool to finish 3rd this season, that only changed to them potentially winning the league and some other trophies off the back of klopp announcing that he is leaving.
the announcement galvanised Liverpool more than anything.
Talking about Nunez misses as a reason for Liverpool not wining the league could be used a reason Chelsea didn't win it because of Jackson's misses.
Mo is right, there's enough pressure to perform under normal circumstances, imagine the added pressure of having to deliver for the sake of Klopp's legacy.

I feel that Liverpool thought they were better than they actually are! Thinking they are the only team to be able to go toe to toe with city after finishing 5th last season! Liverpool were so so this season and I knew their luck would run out. It's mad tho because they did well with injuries but then when players came back, the form went. The new signings didn't live up to hype.... Klopp made strange decisions n approached teams with the wrong tactics
This game effectively had no bearing on anything. Liverpool has already finished the season and the squad is already looking towards the final home game of the season to say farewell to the manager. All games before that was basically just in the way…. You can see it in the players. The announcement had pressure and the players didn’t deliver so what…. The season was over a few games ago and now we go back to a reason we didn’t win the title. How about Arsenal and City are better, which everyone said at the beginning of the season!! Why isn’t that a reason now??
Interestingly and unsurprisingly… the reason why Liverpool ain’t win the title or the Europa League is because the attack didn’t score enough… I would have asked the panel when was the last time any of them expected to keep a clean sheet in any game? Everyone blames the attack, defensively we have been just as bad if not worse. But how dare anyone say it’s Van Dijk fault since he is Player of the Season caliber and our captain. Diaz and Darwin need to go they don’t score enough…. Low hanging fruit as always
