But to think in the 80's when Chelsea and Man City were battling in the old Second Division, that they would turn the tables and rival the big 3 of UTD, Liverpool and Arsenal has been great to watch. I remember Wenger getting so upset because Chelsea got rich and knocked Arsenal off their perch. Obviously we need rules to stop unlimited spending. City winning every year is boring. I do not believe Aston Villa are supporting Manchester City in the 115 charges they face; instead, Villa are advocating for changes to financial regulations to enable teams to close the competitive gap. This is evident from Villa's proposal to adjust the financial threshold due to inflation. Teams like Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Chelsea are forced to sell homegrown players to comply with current regulations. As a club that recently ascended from the Championship I do not believe Villa support Manchester City, if found guilty of the alleged infractions, they should be held accountable for past violations. Villa's push for regulatory changes stems from their ambition to build a Champions League-caliber team despite financial constraints. Current TV rights and Champions League revenues do not immediately impact this year's finances, thereby limiting their ability to invest in the transfer market.

Cant condone breaking rules - but also totally agree with challenging rules that are unlawful. If my club - Newcastle - joined in on challenging this sponsorship value rule and it ends up that the rule is proven to be unlawful, then I would see that as a victory for Newcastle, and a victory for football, as it would remove an unlawful rule that was put in place to protect teams like yours and keep them at the top unfairly. It's not about supporting Man City, and you need to realise that for many fans, the unfair advantage that FFP rules give to teams like Man u, Liverpool and Arsenal is just as much a problem for football as man city's 115 charges, and for many fans the more pressing issue is the fight to remove the unfair advantage given to the cartel

Thought Villa were better than that.

If an owner has the money they should be able to spend it within an asset they own. Newcastle are the richest club in the world and they are having to sell their best players for reduced prices to comply with FFP, how is that fair. United and the bigger clubs can then come along and take these players for discounted prices - does this sound fair to you?
Talking as a city fan here, city have the biggest revenue in the premier league and aren’t effect by these rules anymore but why should other clubs suffer when they have the cash to spend. The cartel are worried that they wont have there guaranteed europe spot anymore. The difference between city and the cartel is we invite competition but the cartel want to stop it.
115
It all comes down to the Premier league rushing and not fully understanding the rules they make.
The issue that most people can’t see is while yes teams like city shouldn’t have be able to spend infinite amounts ffp isn’t rhe solution either.ffp only protects United Liverpool and arsenal that’s it. Their two biggest rivals Chelsea and city are now handicapped. And the teams below them likes or spurs villa Newcastle can never spend enough money to get in thekr level there is absolutely nothing fair about that. Even Gary Neville said that who’s a United fan but difference is he’s a United fan with a brain. Something has to be brought in yes as there can’t just be no regulation but what’s currently in place is a disgrace and is just basically a lock on the door saying who’s in the top 6 is in and whoever is outside can never get in.
Gary Neville, with a brain? You lost me there.
Yes small clubs should continue to remain small and with no chance against United Liverpool arsenal billion spendings.
The pl clubs just voted 19 to 1 in favour of keeping var
What a shame
Respect to wolves
Despicable
embarrassing how not one club sided with wolves, var will never work with these awful refs so just switch it off
Lol. Why did they keep VAR?
I could have witnessed some comedy with horrendous refereeing decisions and looking at English fans crying in social media.
The English don't deserve the Premier League.
I honestly couldn't stop laughing when Soucek scored a goal with his hand. Imagine if VAR wasn't there, endless comedy and laughter that widens my life span.
your life sounds pathetic
Glazers would never ever want to pump money in United
Just let newcastle spend like crazy. Would love to see that.
How many record breaking sponsership and shirt deals have United had over the years ? What's the difference?
Absolutely none ... Get a grip
This is the only way the other Prem clubs can win anything get rid of Man City, Man U even sneek into Europe through the back door because you have been useless all season . Not a City fan but sour grapes comes to mind
What the the Top six don't want the rules changing because it might change the status quo, never heard a man united fan complain about the fairness of the league when they dominated for years.
Hope city win.
I kinda just want City to win just to see all the rage 😂
😂😂😂
Some goldbrigde Minions might kill themselves 😂
It's a legal challenge because they challenging rules that are allegedly unlawful not unfair. Actually the hypercritical view could be proved to be yours, as you want to keep FFP rules in place that benefit your team even if the rules are proved to be unlawful.
If Man City get away with this I’ll be heartbroken
That's Football, I really liked this video! I subscribed too!
All the clubs running to city’s defence are all the clubs flirting with FFP and are all in the top 6 richest club owners in the league 🙄 shock horror 🤦🏻♂️
Only one way to stop franchise. Don't buy merch, don't buy season tickets and most importantly don't buy sky TNT subscriptions.
This is the dumbest analysis of the issues. No understanding of the background issues, no appreciation of the fact that there's no relationship between 115 & the current case.
Absolutely clueless
Its simple: every club should be able to invest up to what the clubs with highest income, spend. That would be a true fair play. The rules as they are just protect the top 6 cartel. Clubs like Newcastle should be able to spend just as much as Man Utd or Liverpool do, not more than them.
