Vox ToneLab ST was my preference, but saw an RP500 for sale locally and considered it. This vid only strengthened my resolve in waiting for a Tonelab to become available.

Using the rp500 though the xlr connection into pa speakers or studio monitor sounds best imo, if your going into an amp it has to be clean as possible on the clean channel w/ amp/mixer button on & amp sim on, if you use dirty channel on amp turn amp sim off & just use the fx, good vid rp500 is a good unit but does need tweeking for factory presents

I've got the LE and my problem is this: My ART rack and board had empty presets from 115 to 130 and you could easily copy fave presets there and add new ones, for gigging purposes. You can overwrite all the presets on the LE but how does one set up a consecutive run of presets? If I pick the last 15 slots, that means I have to move ones I like but won't necessarily be using live to slots that are shit and overwriting them to make space in the last 15 slots? I've been avoiding this cuz it seems like a TON of hassle.

Hmmm, I can't say that I exactly know the answer to this but I wish you the best of luck! I can tell you that I've dealt with similar issues in the past on other devices: figure out which presets are crap and you can overwrite, move "decent" presents there to free up those "decent" slots for gigging, then move your gigging slots to those "decent" slots. A pain, yes, but that is how I've done it in the past.

your comparison says more about the guitars than the units...

They are very different sounding guitars, for sure!
