The video where he plays this for the time is so much fun to watch. He gets so into it he really liked it. His bandmates in the Raspberry Jam Band liked it so much too, they actually incorporated it into their shows with their own arrangement.
I thought this was inspired more by the 8 Bit Big Band's version of this song...and most likely the team who made this level did this to fight off a mutiny from their on site band which must have demanded this track be released.
This track was the first time I got emotional with the track as a whole The music was amazing, and the track felt so lively with the familiar enemies & other Easter eggs throughout the track The final nail for me was the goal/result music. Man, my eyes turned into a waterfall 😂
This is easily my favourite track of the wave. The references to the SNES game are enough to make stone hearted man like myself cry! Everything from the huffin puffins to the stilt guys, to the cloud bubble ans bridge gimmick, to the coin, switch, piranha plant chomp and bridge sound effects. This track has everything! Oh and the level intro, outro and end of level clips just makes this track a true gem! It truly takes me back to my childhood playing this beautiful game!
Even as someone who never played Yoshi’s Island, this track is so charming and faithful to the original, even I can feel how much they love the original series. This is also one of the rare cases when the BCP artstyle works PERFECTLY for a track.
This definitely captures that child innocence and playful energy Yoshi's Island made itself out to be. Plus, the string and jazz combo is such a pleasant and bouncy remix on the Athletic Theme

Not to mention that the it was already known by dataminers a year before the release in 8 deluxe, that a bathroom track and a yoshi island track is coming to tour.

I want more tracks like this. Tracks that heavily base on the mario universe themselves rather than a generic water park or another sweet ride. I want more ambitious and more attention to detail tracks. Mario Kart 8 dose its best when they go all out on creative tracks like Big Blue. Overall, the music is a phenomenal remix and way better than the Smash version.
There is possibility for more as tour has a track datamined with the name "mobdk" (mobile dk) which could mean a dk track may come in the future but we can't be fully sure

It's very interesting that the violin plays the original melody 0:04, whereas the jazz instruments play an altered version, where some notes are delayed 0:20
If Nintendo releases more DLC for this game, I would love to race tracks based on the Mario Universe. Yoshi’s Island demonstrates that it’s possible. Just imagine 48 tracks based on the Mario Universe and at this point we would call it, “Mario Kart Ultimate”

They did such a great job on this track. From the music, to the course's layout being exactly like the actual map and all of the original sounds. So much detail even down to the minor stuff is what I love about it. The nostalgia gets me choked a bit.
I love the violin in the first part then the Saxophones, Baritone Saxophones, Tubas,Trombones, and Clarinets in the rest of song. As a Tuba player, I will definitely try to play this song.
I love this band’s ability to take almost any theme and turn it into a new masterpiece. Considering the original theme was very reminiscent of ragtime, being able to mold it into a jazzy song is very impressive.

Nothing will come close to topping both the N64 and 3DS Rainbow Roads for me (whether it’s for design, nostalgia, music, or anything similar), but when it comes to EVERY OTHER Mario Kart racetrack, I choose this for my all time favorite. (Yes, this is now officially my THIRD favorite MK track period) Especially given my love for the Yoshi’s Island sub-series of Mario, and that Yoshi himself is my favorite character of the franchise no doubt…

It's been like 17-18 years since we last got a Yoshi-themed Mario Kart course (that being DS Yoshi Falls).
