This song brings tears to my eyes. I got the Nintendo Wii for my birthday in 2011, and although I got the Wii U a year later I still mostly played Wii games on it. My cousins would come to my house every weekend between 2013-2015 and would spend hours and hours on this game, even dad joined in occasionally… I even got Mario Kart 8 day one, that’s how much we all loved Mario Kart, it was the best time of my life. @@mrlampythis track isnt technically a SMG track, its just a track in space
@@tonialcala1793 It has a leitmotif of good egg galaxy and star bits floating around it, which I'm pretty sure are only there upon getting Rosalina. MKWii was her debut into mario kart. It's about as SMG as it gets for a rainbow road
actually started crying once the music kicked in😭😭 they did this track so much justice
Wii Rainbow Road in Wii:
“I hate this track!”
Wii Rainbow Road in 8:
“I love this track!”
Lmao
I love the key change up, but I love it even more when it goes back down at 1:08. The brass section really makes it a beautiful and satisfying transition
The way shed a tear from nostalgia first playing this track
締め括りのコースやから、めちゃくちゃ気合い入ってる。コースにもbgmにも、雰囲気の明るさと華がより強調されて、あの時から進化して舞い戻ってきましたって感じがする。
0:47 This part is literal perfection
It was all that I needed to shed a tear.

Man, Nintendo _really_ wanted to send this entire DLC off with a bang.
We have a full 3 laps, combusting into flames when you fall, and most importantly... _Everything not present in Tour made its way back._
the revamp is absolutely beautiful. they really did this track justice. has been, and always will be, my favorite course 🌈✨
For this to be the very last track on the very last part of the dlc, this song just never fails to hit so unbelievably hard with a symphony playing as you get hit with 12000 red shells and shocks. I must say Nintendo, you never fail to disappoint with your music and reviving my childhood☺️☺️
Oh man, the nostalgia! Mario Kart Wii was THE Mario Kart game. You had to be there! 🥹
The nostalgia from the MK Wii days hits like a train.
I love how they made the Good Egg Galaxy motif more pronounced and noticeable in this rendition. So long, Mario Kart 8, it's been a fun ride
It's finally back! What an amazing track to send of the dlc :)
What a way to end the Booster Course Pass, with the best rainbow road in the Mario kart series
THIS is how you end off the BCP. The track that fills players with rage, fun, skill, and nostalgia!
It’s so beautiful… nostalgia hits like a truck sometimes.
Everyone knew this was going to be the very last track since the leaks first came out, and still it's never been so satisfying to see it end like this.
I was so excited when I heard the Wii Rainbow Road soundtrack in the trailer! And Wii Rainbow Road was the first rainbow road I've ever known. And my goodness, does this legendary song always give me the chills! Incredible track with an incredible song!
i feel old
I’m so glad that this is 3 laps instead of 1 lap like in Mario Kart Tour.
This is how I wanted 3DS Rainbow Road to sound 😭
So magical and beautiful just like a star 🌟
3DS Rainbow Road remix is a banger. Even better than this. I don't care what anyone says. 3DS Rainbow Road will always be my favourite.
@@SuperMarioPierce nah I'm not sure about that.
The OG 3ds rainbow road was better
Discovering the cut on the half pipe completely on accident will probably go down as one of my favorite moments in my entire Mario Kart 8 career.
0:29 always sends chills down my spine
0:47 wants to have a word with you
@@whitelock1258it’s not the same as 0:29
@@agentmanface6255 Okay, not going to lie 0:47 doesn't bit harsh without 0:29
I’m about ready to cry because Mario kart Wii is the first game I ever played and hearing this it takes me back to my childhood I would do anything to get those days back 😢
And just like that
Mario Kart 8 can finally rest
What a journey
Love how the backing track is more obvious now!
actually started crying, god I miss being a kid playing my Wii
They really did it man. They even had the flames when you feel
This track got the most love out of the entire BCP, and it's well deserved
Seeing this course in the pass was inevitable but it’s like seeing an old friend. A perfect track to end the DLC here’s to 9 years of Mario Kart 8
Whoever says that the original OST of this track is better, I'm sorry but you're just objectively wrong. This is a perfect remix of an already great piece of music which added the "oomph" that the original was missing. Probably one of the best soundtrack reworks in the entire game.
For sure. Original was already great, but this is even better. The strings are absolutely fantastic
This might sound weird, but I didn't grow up on Wii, but I still played it before. I was actually born around the same time Wii came out. I grew up with the freaking 3DS game. But I can still see why people love Wii: it hac charm, it was iconic, and great music. This is the best track of all time for me now, experiencing this again. Love how there's 5 freaking rainbow roads now.
This lowkey got me choked up, i don't even have mario kart 8 but the fact that they remade my childhood rainbow road makes me so happy on so many levels
My childhood track is back with a brand new spunk, it's so great to see it once again. And my God did Nintendo just perfect this version. Thanks for bringing back old memories, and giving me new ones Nintendo
Beautiful. I had played Mario Kart before, but Wii was the one that made me a fan.
This track was basically the final send off to MK8. What a journey it’s been…
I was crying when i was playing this one for the first time in years today. The music, the amazing layout, the sound effects,... this may overtake mk7 rainbow road as my favorite track ngl.
We knew this track was on the way, yet this is a dream come true just listening to this...
This song while still sounding like the original, it adds the Mario Kart 8 flavor with its instrument replacements
This is the perfect finale for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass and Mario Kart 8 as a whole. It feels so bittersweet.
The perfect finale for mk8 deluxe
Edit: I remember when I got this game way back and seeing it evolve into this 6 years later is just so awesome
WE FLYING OFF THE TRACKS WITH THIS ONE 🗣️💯🔥🔥
Love how they remade the first 2 Rainbow Roads in the original MK8 and now in the BCP the last 2 Rainbow Roads
Thanks for playing everyone, this has been a amazing journey that the whole Mario Kart community can experience!
While not my favourite track, heck even favourite Rainbow Road, this is the track I have the most nostalgia for. Playing it and seeing how much love was put into this makes me happy, heck you even burst into flames when falling off. A small detail they coulda missed but keeping it makes this even better.
Perfect way to end an era.
