I actually signed up for an art history class about Yoko Ono this fall. Seeing her mentioned in the Venus episode 100% influenced that choice. Doing a deep study of her life and connecting events to her placements has been invaluable!
very useful tips, I am a beginner, but will keep all in mind while I listen to your podcasts, read books and hopefully enroll in an astrology school next year 🤞
I am so blessed by your work, Chris. 6 months ago you were the very first astrologer I ever listened to/watched. I am now enrolled as a 1st year astrology student. Thank you.
Well dang it’s 2022. Missed that sale by a mile. But I am considering signing up for the Hellenistic astrology course. The longer I listen to this channel the more I realize this is what I wanted to learn back in college. Hellenistic and Roman art history is interesting but astrology makes my 12th house Scorpio stellium feel alive. (Uranus, Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Scorpio plus the north node. Having the node in Taurus right now has been intense).
Hey Chris, I'm interested in learning more about astrology (as well as alchemy, Hermetic philosophy, etc.), but I'd like to examine the criticisms afforded to it by certain religious authorities and most partisans of modern empirical science. Where might one start to understand the actual claims of astrologers, the criticisms of the aforementioned groups, the subsequent responses by defenders of astrology, possible strawman arguments (celestial bodies as signs rather than direct causes), etc.? In other words, where can I find some defenses of the validity of astrology as a (spiritual discipline? science? philosophy?) in the face of its many criticisms? Are there any specific books or videos you could guide me to?
@The Astrology Podcast Chris what is your point of view about 7 years of badluck of Saturn ...in vedic astrology they say when Saturn comes in 12th house 7 years of badluck begin... how to deal with this do you have any remedy ...
Well, that would be just too much. There is also 7 years of Sade Sati when Saturn is in the sign before the Moon, in the same sign as the Moon and the sign after. Then many say Saturn only brings misfortune throughout all the signs. I can tell you I have good and bad luck no matter where Saturn is. 12th house is connected with some misfortunes by definition and it can feel challenging especially for people who are not used to being isolated, etc. But Saturn being in the 4th can bring feelings of isolation, depression, etc. Saturn in the 10th can bring misfortune in your status. List goes on and on. But in reality, it does not have to be so scary. Bad things have happened to me just recently with Jupiter in my 11th house. There are other things to consider not just one transit. And remedies for 12th house are all things Piscean. Help the poor, do charity work in general, be on your own a lot, do some art, help artists, consume art in all forms, walk in nature a lot, swim, live or be near water.
It really all starts with psychology first. YOUR psychology. In your head (ego-mind). What do you actually know about Astrology vs. what you pretend and tell yourself about it? What have others told you about it, news, magazines, articles, blogs, "daily horoscopes", radio, podcasts, songs, social media, friends and family, or other sources over years and decades? How blindly do you believe these sources? Are you open-minded and question what you see, read, and hear (just like transiting North Node in Gemini has been indicating for us since May 2020)? What are your fear-based, limiting, and negative beliefs about Astrology (the biggest questions you can ask yourself here)? What are your biases about Astrology? What are preconceived notions? Do you continue to believe in "bad/terrible/evil" planets, signs, houses, aspects, and transits? Do you continue to believe Astrology happens "to you"? What stories, assumptions, and lies do you hold about Astrology? This is where the most of the work happens for all Astrologers, every day. Awareness, honest, integrity, gratitude, and humilty. As you continue to stay on top of those things, it would behoove anyone to learn about the history of Astrology, especially the variety of systems and modalities that exist. Broaden, widen, deepen your horizons! Lastly, you practice, practice, and practice some more! Daily astrology practice. Not forgetting to collaborate with other Astrologers, new and experienced, especially the ones that trigger you because of your perception of their beliefs, political, spiritual, social, or otherwise. ✌ ❤
I'm sorry I found the fuzzy audio too much, I found it difficult to listen to, gutted because I'm really interested, is there anyway to clean it up? somehow? Thank you, I'm going to keep trying.. but Neptune in the 3rd trine Mercury..
No, this is the cleaned up version. When the original recording is bad there is only so much that can be done to clean it up. That's one of the reasons why listeners supporting the podcast through our page on Patreon has been so important over the past several years, because it has allowed us to get better recording equipment and pay to have newer episodes edited by a sound engineer. So, if you want to support those efforts in order to keep improving the quality of the show then become a patron.
This was great and as a student of astrology it gave me new and more information that will increase the quality of my studies. Thank you!
Thank you so much for releasing this video
