Not really...they are almost all using unreal engine. If you want variety you need games built from the ground up or with various engines. To date 98% of survival games are either on Unreal Engine or Unity and nearly all of these folks reuse stock content, so yeah they ARE all going to be eerily similar.

On top of everything you said, I’ve also noticed Alex has been doing a lot more rapid fire reviews which honestly takes away from the traditional “Angry Review.” Now I don’t mind a break in between reviews every once in a while but it’s been nearly 3 months and the last game Joe reviewed was Skull and Bones. (Good review too) I guess the only games that were worth reviewing was Hades 2 and Stellar Blade. (Could be wrong tho) However Joe didn’t play the first or second Hades (they were passed to RF review) and Stellar Blade is a South Korean IP, not something that originated from the West and Joe barely reviews games that were later localized in the US.

Gameplay and graphics alike. It was not very fun to play or "to survive". The Mask mechanic is... very lacking in the interesting department. Not a good game, but at least the devs did get us a chance to play it for a few hours before deciding.

Feels like a generic clunky survival crafting game, the kind you better wait 6-12 month to check if it's still being developped before buying in.

It's more of an Angry Joe opinion - hi is not a big on survival games and this one is very completed / polished - for Early Access title from what I'm experienced during open Beta (+150h). The game is far more completed and relatively bug free + has lots of quality of life features when coming to Early Access that other Survival games I played when they launched to EA ( Conan Exile , ARK , Atlas ... )

Sponsored gameplay BTW... Having looked at the Steam page and the gameplay I am not convinced this is any better than the standard survival game. In fact, I would say the graphics are lacking and the gameplay looks clunky. The survival games market is oversaturated and I am not entirely convinced this one does anything better or has anything unique to offer.
A breath of fresh air for me was Enshrouded. I have no idea why I was postponing it to hell, probably because I got fed up with the standrad survival games, since I probably played all of them, EA or not except Green Hell 😂 I gotta say Enshrouded leans more into RPG and exploration than survival, since you don’t really have any meters that you need to have filled up to go forward. Just my 2 cents and I agree the market is oversaturated since everybody seems to mish-mash a lot of assets and call it a day to grab money

This would be a great play when it comes out of early access in 5 years. It seems games are just made good enough just so they could get an early access badge. Example “Satisfactory” game. Etc.

The game is far more completed and relatively bug free + has lots of quality of life features when coming to Early Access that other Survival games I played when they launched to EA ( Conan Exile , ARK , Atlas ... )

Sponsored gameplay BTW... Having looked at the Steam page and the gameplay I am not convinced this is any better than the standard survival game.
In fact, I would say the graphics are lacking and the gameplay looks clunky. The survival games market is oversaturated and I am not entirely convinced this one does anything better or has anything unique to offer.
A breath of fresh air for me was Enshrouded. I have no idea why I was postponing it to hell, probably because I got fed up with the standrad survival games, since I probably played all of them, EA or not except Green Hell 😂 I gotta say Enshrouded leans more into RPG and exploration than survival, since you don’t really have any meters that you need to have filled up to go forward. Just my 2 cents and I agree the market is oversaturated since everybody seems to mish-mash a lot of assets and call it a day to grab money

You can essentially obtain a template for these games, and then tweak some assets to make it look different. But essentially they're all the same game.
This would be a great play when it comes out of early access in 5 years. It seems games are just made good enough just so they could get an early access badge. Example “Satisfactory” game. Etc.

So the devs gave you 6 days of early access with juiced up characters and Legendary Gear. (Their gear is red and when Joe hovered over red items they are listed as LEGENDARY)
How can we trust your opinion if you arent getting the same experience as others? Your time with the game was influenced with better starting gear to look more fun and to avoid the boring grind and gathering that is always part of these games. Oh and it took you 6 days to cut down a best of stream compilation, even though you said you were working on XDEFIANT and Multiversus Angry Reviews (2 games that are free to play and have ZERO story mode content, so there's not much to actually review outside mechanics and monetization)
