@@mericanignoranc3551 The game was developed in a war zone, so yeah, it'll probably have some issues. But unlike these games pumped out by massive AAA devs, I'm willing to give the STALKER 2 devs some leeway.
I feel like the days are long gone where that’s a safe thing to do. I hope they hit the mark. Will be ironic if one of the few games in recent memory to be released in a finished state was literally developed in a war zone.
For FF7 Rebirth I highly recommend you follow what Gene Park did and just mainline as hard as possible, even ignoring the card game Queen's blood. He got it done in about 35-40 hours. Otherwise you will burn yourself out HARD. I put 140 hours over two months trying to do everything, just gotta do my Hard mode run and I'm good. There are stand out moments/sidequests and Queen's Blood is probably the best card game in a video game like ever, but trying to do all the chadley stuff the open world BS and the back and forth sidequests will wear you down, especially if you are under a time crunch.
But... Exploring and doing some (not all) of the sidequests is where the magic happens. 😢 (Though admidetly, the big story moments are amazing as well.)
I was playing through at launch and I loved doing 100% completion of everything on my first playthrough... up until chapter 13. Getting to 13 felt like all of a sudden Business Unit 3 took over and it felt like they just copy/pasted FF16's gameplay model into Rebirth. So much needless garbage and pointless puzzles that just dragged on forever. Despite doing everything else in the game up until that point, Chapter 13 made me quit. I'll wait for a PC version and hope they patched out 90% of that damn temple. I honestly could never load the game up again after that.
I'd heard of Half Life Black Mesa back in the day but since I'd already played Half Life when it launched I ignored it. Fast forward to the 20th anniversary of HL2 a couple of days ago and Black Mesa Definitive Edition was on sale for $5!!! Seems I'm getting together with Gordon, one more time.
I have one hell of a growing backlog, and games just keep coming out! Then games like Black Ops 6 come out of nowhere for me, I’ve never been a CoD guy, and take up all my time. I’ve missed a lot of big games this year including Space Marine 2, Black Myth Wukong and Dragons Dogma 2. I still haven’t touched Baldur’s Gate 3!!! GOTY list so far: FF7 Rebirth, Astro Bot, Silent Hill 2 remake and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
I’m replaying The Outer Worlds after I couldn’t get into SW Outlaws. Before that I played Skyrim for the first time after I couldn’t get into Starfield (gave it 400 hours though).
Wait, how can you play a game for 400 hours & not get into it?! I thought I was pushing it with 30 hours in Metaphor Refantazio... I usually love Atlus JRPGs, but I've been SLOWLY playing it bit by bit because I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought
definitely working on shadow generations s rank all the way and gotta beat black myth i upgraded my pc so i’ve been drowned also gotta beat half life 2
Most excited for the Stellar Blade x NieR DLC to give me another excuse to replay that game for the 5th time. Also excited to find time and get around to the games I just didn’t have the time to get to earlier this year.
I've heard good things about Frostpunk so might check that out. I tried the first game and it didn't really do it for me, I love the concept but just felt like it would have been better turn based rather than rushing to make decisions. From the reviews I've seen the second game is slightly different so I'm thinking of revisiting that. Perfect for game for the cold weather.
Frostpunk 2 is more of the same in my opinion. I got it on gamepass, it's a great game but the rushing to make decisions and all it throws at you got tiring so I stopped playing.
@@LetYahArisee that's disappointing to hear. I thought with you having to deal with factions now, that it might allow more time to do things. In the first one, there was just a lot to keep track of and with ppl being displeased about your choices at every turn, I just felt it needed to allow time to assess things before committing to passing a law. It was like the game was pushing me to make bad decisions so I can get bad outcomes. I understand needing to keep the tension and stress high to match the theme of the game but it just didn't work for me.
@@gemelwalters2942 yea, more of the same but more fleshed out. No faction will ever stay happy lol maybe I'm just not too experienced at it but it was a stressful time later on but fun at first.
PLEASE make a video about Neva if you have time! Would love to hear your thoughts about it. Can't wait to play it and probably cry during it as well. Currently playing through BG3 and probably will be for the rest of the year. Just got to Act II and loving it. Outside that I'm playing Olli Olli World which has been sick and BO6.
It's funny you mentioned the multiplayer Wolfenstein. I saw the game and just thought, "Oooh, a new Wolfenstein!" and bought it only to be instantly disappointed. I didn't try to get a refund, that was on me for not looking into what I was buying, lmao. Anyway, thanks, Jake! Love you guys!!
I just spent the last couple of days playing and 100% finishing EVERSPACE 2. I've been on a huge space exploration game binge lately but running out of titles that are actually worth it. I wish more games like Rebel Galaxy and EVERSPACE 2 existed that were actually finished with compelling combat.
i’m currently playing Alan Wake so that i can finally get to Alan Wake II, now that i have the physical version. after that i want to jump back into Jack Holmes, but try to get through it fast. i’d still like to finish Astro Bot. realistically, that’s enough for the rest of the year, but if i am being optimistic, i’d like to finish Dead Island 2 on X Box
Oh dude, i think youll love SWtD. Its the best walking sim ive ever played. The accents and dialogue is great, and the Rig is increible. And speaking as a coward, its not very scary, but the atmosphere is top tier
Can definitely recommend Still Wakes The Deep, just finished it, very good. It can be beaten in four hours or less, so not that much of a time commitment. Catching up on Astro Bot now
Both STALKER 2 and Indiana Jones coming out soon is really exciting. There's usually not a lot I'm still looking forward to by December, but this year is different.
One game that flew under the radar for most people that I've massively enjoyed despite it's faults is slitterhead, idk I fell in love with the charm of the atmosphere of the game and have spend too long in it which may surprise a lot of people, I've loved it and maybe only one of a few hundred or thousand that really do in the world and could speak passionately about it for hours with so many extra ideas I'd love to see for it to keep improving what they created, Also STALKER looks amazing too when that releases :)
Currently just trying to finish my Backlog especially on Switch. Just finished Tactics Orge Reborn, taking a lil switch break to finish the Black Ops 6 Campaign on ps5, then gonna finish BoTW and finally start Tears of the Kingdom back on Switch. Plus a bunch more Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm trilogy, Okami, Red Faction Guerilla, Darksiders 2, and Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne
Stalker 2 and Indiana Jones for me. Cautiously optimistic for both, I just hope there’s no weird culture war nonsense in them, I just want to play some video games, man.
Make a good point - Indiana Jones as a grand adventure should be fun.. even without shooting, if it’s immersive and engaging it’ll be fun.. Chronicles of Riddick was like that
I really want to get Sparking Zero (hate that name) and maybe Shadow of the Erdtree, which I haven't gotten around to yet either. I don't care what anyone says, this was a great year for videogames imo.
Finally playing through 1000XResist right now. There’s always UFO 50 to play. Played about 15 hours and haven’t even tried out half the games on offer. Trying to find time to play Metaphor when I can.
I'm waiting to see if SPINE that gunfu game makes a surprise release before the year ends. That would be really nice. Otherwise I'm just waiting for the Black Friday sale so I can get Numazu in the Mirage on a discount. Aside from FPS games, been really obsessed with deckbuilders so that'd be a nice casual one to add to my library.
2024 has been shit for games so far. But without Any Delays 2025 With Kingdom Come 2, GTA6, Mafia, Old country and So on will be a Great year for Games.
game of the year for me is silent hill 2 remake an i pre ordered soul reaver soon as it came out .i dont normally do that but its soulreaver plus before that ps premium is getting the legacy of kain games for the retro section this tuesday cant wait for that love those games tons
I caved and bought madden on discount. I’m wanting to try Dragons Dogma or Baldurs Gate but I’ve never played those style of games. I know they are good based on your beforeyoubuy videos but I’m waiting for them to go on sale and save a few bucks.
I looking forward to the Soul Reaver remasters. I played Soul Reaver only about 2 years ago and its kind of amazing a 3D game as expansive as that was on PS1. I agree the atmosphere and lighting is a bit different but I will take that if the performance is better. That was a weaker part of the PS1 version to me.
I think I am gonna get into Metal Gear Solid! I have never played one but I hear three is a good one to start with? Still trying to figure out which would be best if anyone has advice...
It is a shame the Batman VR is stuck on Meta, I have never been able to use Meta VR headsets because the max IPD is just too small for me with an IPD of 75mm. I'm looking forward to Behemoth. Soul Reaver 1 and 2 will be very cool to play again, I had the original in 1999 and it got me into Playstation.
Dragons dogma 2 OMG I love that game so much. After that update with the 120 Hz it’s been playable for me on the PS5. Still fighting my way through that game and I’m loving every minute of it.
I think at this point, only Closed Beta for Path of Exile 2 is left for me this year. Although Power Rangers does look pretty fun and nostalgic. My GOTY list though, Metaphor, Granblue Fantasy Relink (Did not get the attention it deserved), Stellar Blade. Space Marine 2 was a good campaign but plagued with mechanical issues for me, not GOTY. Wukong felt like Wo Long but slightly less bugs and problems with a good story, not GOTY material. Dragon's Dogma 2 was decent but not GOTY material. I can see Astrobot and Rebirth being heavy contenders for GOTY, but that's all I can think of.
Dang I refreshed just in time
That means you spend way too much time on RUclips
That's kinda gross.
lol same here
So excited for stalker 2, call me a loser but I took off 3 days for it lol, cant wait to get fully immersed in my dark little room
You are no loser bro thats the dream😂👍🏻 do what makes you happy
New games usually need a patch. Id waited for reviews ..smh

Tbh I I’m going to take my time because thanksgiving break is coming or I’ll play it on December break and will have a lot of time
Marvel Rivals, Stalker 2 and Indiana Jones. Those are the only 3 games that are left this year for me.
The legacy of Kain remasters gives me hope for The Suffering games getting remastered, having been delisted recently.
Machinegames would be my perfect choice for making a new Punisher game
Farm sim 25, Microsoft flight simulator 2024, stalker 2 are my big 3 in November
I cannot wait for Indiana Jones!
My Pizza, that's what's left
Been cautiously optimistic about Behemoth, it’s looking fantastic. I hope it lives up to the hype. VR needs the heavy hitters to succeed!
I’m looking forward to wrapping my gaming year up by hopefully being able to pick up Sparking Zero and Space Marine 2 on Black Friday Sale! 🤗
Likewise.

stalker 2 and path of exile 2 are must play 👍👍👍
a moment of silence for those didn't made it to see this release....
Rebirth is the next game on my list, so that's December sorted 😅
And possibly January and February. 😂 (Game's massive.)
Its Indy for me. Game looks old school fun, definitely need that in modern times now
The Soul Reaver remaster is the only game left in my year.

Probably not for most people, but Fairy Tail 2 is coming in December. I liked the first one. Never watched the anime, but I still liked the game.
Man i hope Indiana Jones is great. Cant wait for it
