Wim Hofs strenuous breathing exercises come to mind.. in my yoga school it is not kept secret, since someone who wants to know about it prematurely will find sources everywhere these days. Instead we give the advice whatever you do: never separate pranayama practise from our deep meditation practice. Always do meditation after pranayama. Its to ensure that the practice increases the effects of meditation instead of increasing whatever there is in the mind right now. Its like plowing the ground and sowing seeds in the correct order. Pranayama techniches have done a great job to me in a very short time ( 2,5 months) of practice., after a short course of 3 days where I got a kriya technique. Made me reach this state that you describes (super peace ,sense and memory). But at that moment of my life I was at struggles in job and personal existance. This made the rupture of that positive state of mind and my ego exploded in many extreme reactions with coworkers and others, and with my live also. I dropped in an abyss since then (2014). Recently I discover by my self that is extremely useful to follow audio guidad meditations from good instructors (yogis). This is helping me to disconnect from my inner turmoil, and gradually uplifts my inner state. Your topic in this video is like a Spring for me.

Dear dada, i have a question to you; Of you do a breathing exercise for releasing emotions/feelings in stomach and chest, is this not good to do before preparation? And the breathing exercise for getting fire for manipora, should its also go away before preparation? Because i feel sometimes my anger gets stronger?
So even Nadi Shodana is dangerous? so, with not breath retention I mean. I been using the ratio 1:2:2 with 10s interval now for 1 year and effects are great. But I agree ... mind MUST be prepared otherwise as you said, bad things get larger and mess you up. Most save way is that you have already devotion or grace in your heart and you are meditating for integration of the word / universe, what I mean with that is, the more transparent is the ego, the saver you are. But for advanced uses, "square pranayama" could be the next step cause that can unlock charkras if you meditate on them, or super charge that with bandas ... it is a science after all :) Thanks for the video.

We need to hold specific bandhas in order to distribute prana evenly when we practice pranayama. If you practice without bandhas you can develop psychological problems, because energies flow incorrectly. Mula-bandha, jalandhara-bandha and uddiyana-bandha - they are the 3 locks that we hold when doing specific pranayama techniques.
There are too many different pranayama techniques. Most techniques are not dangerous. Yes some tech.. strong and maybe need teacher.. Just do it.. nowadays i live like a powerbank. every moment i feel my energy body, its nice.. and i know, i dont dive deep lonely.
