Your videos have really helped me understand my own mind. There are many videos on meditation and mind available online (I have been searching since so long) but whatever you have explained in really an eye opener for most of the beginners who are new to meditation. Thank you so much for uploading the videos. I think they should be available in downloadable form on your website so that we can dowload and keep them safe for generations to come. These great details of mystic knowledge is really a treasure.
This lesson is another one of gem lessons by Dada. One cant pick and choose parts of spiritual process. It is a life style in totality. Thank you dada!
I was looking for kundalini yoga, and i just went to kitchen to make some food, and in the meantime you just released this video, and through what you said, i realised that pranayama is not good for me, im not ready yet :) Im calm, but there are still moments that disturbe me, there is still compultions, im aware of it, and slowly learning. Thank you for your videos.
just to be clear - there are 7200 Nadis which are crossing in 114 points called Chakras. 2 of them are outside of your physical body, so there is nothing you can do about them, therefore 112 are enough to be concerned about. Chakra means a weal, but the actual shape of any Chakra is a triangle. body is not the prison of the soul. Body is the gift you should celebrate. Prana is the bridge between the body and the mind. Breath is the medium for Prana. Pranayama Sadhana is the methodology to make this bridge yours. Success in Pranayama means that this bridge is working for you and it is no more your concern. slow breathing and kumbhaka on chemical level, is to prepare your system to high doses of CO2 without harming the system. More O2, means more burning, means more activity on any level, more CO2 means more peace, more steadiness, more inward movement. You are literally taking the poison, without being poisoned. But it takes time, lot of preparations and lot of practice. Ego is another word for Karma. It is the sum of all your memories, all your impressions from the beginnings of the Universe. Ego is your development from the star dust to a human being. It needs to be developed (in Raja Yoga) to its highest potential which is Dharana. Only then it can be let go off. Tantra and Bhakti Yoga starts with letting go of Ego, but it is maybe for 1% of global population. ok, now to the topic of teacher. Guru/Master is one who gives the science. Shows the way. Master doesn't explain, he postulates. He defines. Teacher is the one who understands the science and is able to create methodology to apply this science for the certain period of time for certain individuals. And the one who is able to update and upgrade the methods and technology. Teacher also doesn't explain unless he absolutely needs to. He gives you a receipt. You cook this way, and this will be the result. He doesn't need to explain why this amount of this or that ingredient and why this comes first and that comes second and why this needs to be cooked in this way, unless it is crucial to know why. Teacher knows why, but why he avoids explanations? Because any explanations feeds only the logical part of mind, which he has very little interest in. His interest is, paradoxically, in trust and doubt, dedication and intensity, experiment and experience of a student. Teacher doesn't explain the way, he guides the way.
everything up to Dhyana is external in a sense. but you touched on some relevant points there. Yoga (and not only the Pranayama part) is not a therapy, it doesn't heal you, it magnifies all there is in you. so make sure that you are reasonably healthy before you start practicing Yoga. Pranayama is a bridge between the body and the mind. to call prana vital energy is an oversimplification. its manifestation in the living being is vital energy, but prana is present in all creation. there is prana in a grain of sand and even in a so-called vacuum. the ultimate aim of pranayama is not to control it, but to be one with it. what you mentioned (consciously extending your breath) are very forceful and potentially dangerous techniques. I'm not saying that it can not work, because it can, but it is not recommended to do it that way. rather observe and you will have the same if a not better result without forcing anything. by observing, the extension will happen, rather than you doing it. but this is a typical Karma Yoga approach. they always want to DO everything. Dhyan has absolutely nothing to do with any kind of vision. Visions are attributed to a Pratyahara. in Dhyan and even in Dharana it would be pollution, no matter how beautiful or powerful the vision. In Dhyan, your mirror is clear and empty. if you are not very sensitive, don't even think of Pranayama practice. why? because it is very subtle. and if you are not in tune with subtle movements of your body, energy, and mind, you can do a lot of damage to your system. apart from some flaws that I pointed out, this is one of the lessons I approve of. and even like.
Namaskar🙏🏻 dada Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge. But I have one doubt that is 7times inhale + 7times exhale =14 times OR 14 times each(inhale &exhale)
Thank you so much for this! I was wondering if I could be offered some advice. I have been into the spiritual topics for a few years now, am extremely inspired, and am wondering where I could find a spiritual ashram/place to live much like you do? Any recommendations? Thanks!!! Have a good one!
I suffer daily from panic disorder and social anxiety disorder. My sympathetic nervous system is triggered by almost everything related to people including phone calls, appointments, etc. Can mastering Pranayama cure panic attacks?
Dada your voice has become hoarse in this video. Also i feel ur very look has become strong in nature. Earlier u look to be more gentle. Is this due to any vishudhi chakra practice or any other sadhanna? How can i make my presence stronger, because im way too gentle, and people generally exploit my kindness...

For panic attack, simple basic meditation and asanas will suffice.
