My favourite features are the flight panel and wooden roundels since I can finish my wooden tardis design. I also like the metalert armor texture but it's so expensive rn so I'm not getting it on dmu for now.

I think the crafting recipe for the flight panel is pretty good. You have to consider that in order to use it you first need to have a TARDIS, which isn't the easiest to craft. Anyway, amazing video as always! :)
that is true, crafting a TARDIS is certainly difficult - on the other hand, creative flight is quite a luxury... I'm not an expert on balancing so I'll leave it to the devs haha.

@@editscreate I did a dalek mod survival series in 1.12 a while back - not planning on doing another one at the moment though, as it's quite a lot of work .

@@editscreate probably not gonna review addons, although i have made some of my own addons in the past, and im actually working on an updated one atm :)

Only problem I have with this review is that I was 12 hours late. Amazing video DT10 👍
We didn't add the log stripping to the wooden roundels because we know how annoying it is when building with logs and you accidentally strip one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I sometimes use shaders, but they tend to add too much lag to the recording and often make it less watchable than a regular video, so I generally choose to go without. Sometimes just plain old minecraft looks the best!
wanna say a few things, 1st in mod alr existing skaro ( but one thing that you can go to the skaro only with usage of new tardis mod)
yeah skaro does exist, but it's by no means finished - it's just in the game code because the devs are still working on it.
@@DT10 We just had a big breakthrough in Skaro thanks to Jayson and Joe, so now we can start working on structures :D

Just noticed as I have finally made full metalert in my survival but with a full set you are completely resistant to lava and fire.

U need 81 honey comb and iron too craft the flight pannel so it not cheap but u so get 7 spare purple stainless steel blocks

When I paste the schmatics and I paste it on template and go inside the one I made and it takes back back the original spot the doors where on the temple
make sure you've set the origin correctly - there is a tutorial available on the swd youtube channel for adding custom TARDIS interiors
It's not a data pack it's a command and I paste

So in dalek mod there's schmatics pos1 pos2 save and load and paste these are all in the commands so mine is not a data pack it's a command I paste on to template switch is in dalek mod as a premade so I go to commands
/dalek mod schmatic load the one I made and paste it doesn't spawn in its old place so I fly over then I exit and go back and I'm in the spot of the template doors or spawn
@@Ghostybusters you would have to put it in the place of the original interior, and align it with where you spawn after entering the doors. there are easier ways to do this with data packs, hence why I recommended the swd team video :)
Hey DT10, I've beenw atching your vids for a while and I wanna ask for a building request.
Can you make a tutorial on corridors?
Everytime I try it just doesnt feel... tardis like.... even with mods that adds roundels it seems off.
probably not, as each TARDIS interior tends to have different corridors, and it's also an extremely obscure video so it likely wouldn't perform very well. if you need any tips though, feel free to ask in my discord server, and me or some other people can help you out!

Can you disable fuel?
I don't think so - obviously if you have cheats on though you can just give yourself infinite fuel so it becomes irrelevant. but yeah, you can't disable it in survival otherwise it would be a bit pointless

Can you get unlimted artron fuel
in creative mod or with cheats on, yes, you just get it from /give or the creative inventory. in survival mode you can't, otherwise that would defeat the whole point

@@DT10 They were made for the previous update and we used them in Dalek Mod survival. However, either Mae or Bug deemed then a joke feature and removed them. Now they left, John re-instated them.

I have to say, I think I'm a little dissapointed with the console rooms in this update. I'm not trying to be dismissive or disrespectful to anyone's time or effort, but I'm just a little bummed out by how... lackluster and... quick they look? It doesn't really look like much time was spent trying to secure accuracy or... to make the builds relatively impressive in any way? I don't know. I feel like the console rooms in the mod should display the versatility of the decoration blocks by showing you how close to the show a console room can be. It doesn't have to be perfect, just... closer, at least. Three's bothers me a lot, because there were a lot of very noteable Three rooms and you can see what they're imitating in the design... but it just doesn't feel right, or look right. It's three's in name only.
I think eight is WAY too small, and the classic is just... a little too compressed? I know this is nitpicky, but it feels like this is supposed to encourage datapack creators to try their own hand at console rooms, but with how much effort is required to craft individual roundels and gather materials, an accurate console room would take MONTHS in survival.
These are thoughts I generated whilst under the influence, so if it sounds upset or hateful, it's not. These are just general vents about how... lackluster this update feels? A very small update for eight months. I am hoping the next update is something more... satisfying. Right now the mod feels a bit small, bare bones. Which is fine, the 1.16.5 update is a HUGE shift. It kind of feels like beta all over again, in a way. Which is NOT bad, at all. And I'm not saying I want 1.12.2 all over again! But, these last few updates have felt... safe? Which has made them feel small. Perhaps it's the other way around, but these are just general observations.

To be completely honest, I agree with you. The builds are not accurate, nor do they showcase the mods full potential. However, the reason they are all so small is because there is a very specific footprint in which the builds have to be constructed, due to the way the corridor system works, and what happens when you choose a new interior (this is especially visible on the 11th interior, which I believe I showcase in the video). With that in mind, I think the builders did a pretty good job working with these constraints.
@@DT10 I am not certain if I agree. Although I am not as well informed on the dimensions of the console rooms for this mod, I've been on a few servers that use the TARDIS PLUGIN and are limited to specific sizes in order to account for room generation and all that (if you're familiar with that plugin, you'll know what I'm getting at) despite being in 1.19, the server is able to generate relatively accurate console rooms despite being entirely within vanilla minecraft.
Even your first few datapack console rooms were WILDLY more impresssive. Why was your datapack eighth doctor TARDIS more on point and more impressive compared to the one added to the mod? Even if they were small, I believe the general point I'm trying to reach here as that they feel like they were built lazily. Compared to the previous 1.12.2 console, which YES- Did have a lot of modeled blocks (but impressive build quality) these feel like a step down in the recent updates. I'm actually honestly readying myself to be dissapointed for when they add the coral console room, because if any of these serve as an example of what's to come, I don't believe that one will be very impressive.
If I end up being wrong, I'll admit it. For now, though- I'm a little bummed out about it! We waited eight months for an update that felt like it was made in two.
@@binary1769 I dont think its a limit set by the code, i think its more of a custom limit that they set way back when 1.16 was first developed (originally there were no plans to make the doctors' interiors, so it was set quite small). as I mention in the video, it would likely be too much effort to change, as it would mean updating *all* of the existing interiors - although i have to admit, this is something i would like to see done.
Bring back Daley mod survival
I'm not planning on bringing back that series at the moment.
1.12.2 is still better
that's your opinion - it definitely has more features, but it's very messy and inconsistent in my opinion.
