One thing I really want in a future update is being able to change the flight sounds. Like classic, movie, modern, etc. I just really need the classic drumbeat in this mod and it'll be perfect.
One thing it seems to be missing that I'd kill for would be the option to build custom exteriors. We've seen it disguised as a house in the show, after all.
I think the crafting system was split off from the main mod at some point. It’s now called “Compact Crafting”. It’s mainly for modpack makers, since it’s configurable.
this guy has to be one of the best and most underrated doctor who modpack reviewers. goes into so much detail and puts in so much effort. keep up the incredible work bro :)
Had a go on this one immediately after watching this review, new favorite Tardis mod easily. The ONLY thing I could ask of this mod is a speed upgrade as once you've unlocked the higher coordinate increments, it still takes just as long to cross those distances as it did when you first get it up and running. Other than that I love every single thing about this mod, 10/10.
@@CommandrMoose Late to this but I've just played far too many hours on the newest update since the speed upgrade has been added, you've won me over with that, easily my favorite Tardis mod.
This is probably really late but as a warning for anyone playing this mod in Survival: The Gravity Well inside the TARDIS that leads to the Eye of Harmony will actually still deal fall damage to you when you hit the floor so your best bet is to either remove it and tower up and down instead or, at the very least, play with keep inventory on just in case it kills you one time.
@@DT10 If you're talking about the most recent update, It does deal damage to me. I've checked it in survival, literally almost died the first time lol
This mod looks amazing! The only criticisms I have for it is that the crafting recipes for certain items (like the amethyst screwdriver and such) should be a bit more complicated. Not much, just a bit more as they seem rather easy to get. The other criticism I have is that the skill tree definitely seems too small, although I wouldn't be surprised if the mod makers plan on expanding it anyway, lol. But, aside from those two things, thisbis genuinely one of the best Tardis mods I've ever seen!

Part of me wishes they would add the chameleon curcuit funtion. Not to change the exterior, but to make it look like the surroundings, or at least some Accurate Minecraft exteriors. Like a tree, stone, even dirt or sand.
that would be cool... i believe TARDIS refined is leaning into the customisation side of things a lot with data packs etc, so maybe it'll be possible to add custom stuff in the future!

its java only I'm afraid. I don't know of any good bedrock mods - bedrock modding isn't really much of a thing, as it has completely different code and a marketplace etc that makes it quite difficult to easily mod
The mod is incredible, obviously being new, it is in beta and it will lack more things like a way to involve it and the sonic developer and its variants and many more things about the series that people of culture like I know.
one thing i would love to see is the ability to add modded dimensions to the tardis optionally. like by having a mod pack that has a bunch of dimensions that only unlock in the tardis once you go to them!

Hello! I was wondering if with future reviews you could cover the customization side of mods a little more? By this I mean what can be added/worked with using datapacks. EDIT: I just saw another comment saying you didn't cover it, but I'm asking if you can at least cover the features you can customize, not a full on tutorial. That way it is easy to compare the mods based on the ability to add a ton more interiors, consoles, etc.
I totally get what you're saying. However, I have to prioritise the main features of the mod, and sometimes I can't even cover all of them if I want the video to release on time. I'm also not great at data packs in general, meaning I wouldnt really be able to provide any insight or opinion of them, which I try to do with the other features I showcase. I'll try and work out a good way to showcase the customization features in future videos though
When I try the doors to get to the corridor hub after terraforming, the 2nd door never opens, I can only go back the way I came. do you know a fix for this?
they don't, they are the same for every interior. that's a very cool feature suggestion - although I'm not quite sure how it would work, as the consoles are in a pre-determined, separate space to the interior
It's not create, it's the compact machines. You lay out blocks much like you did, surround it with 4 of their miniaturizer blocks, and it makes the craft. It is at least the only other mod I know of that does something quite like that.
It's a multi-block system changed to produce an item instead of a structure. Immersive Engineering's Coke Oven, and other structures, are examples of something similar to this.
Hi Dt10, I'm working in a project call "Ender Time". It's suposed to be a series written in the 70s. It's a militar Time Lord who travel in the space and time to find the Doctor. I need the Tardis interior. It is like a Tardis of the classic era. I forget, this is a series for Minecraft. Do you wanna be the producer? Like the producer of the constuction.
when i first saw this mod i thought "meh its fine but not that good i like new tardis better" but after all these updates i think im starting to like this mod the most ngl especially because it gets updates unlike "new tardis" mod
I think that's one thing both this mod and adventures in time does really well - decently regular updates. there's another update in the works for TARDIS refined at the moment too!
theres actually already a mod out there called the regeneration mod that does this! I wouldnt really expect to see it in tardis refined anytime soon, as it's more focused on the tardis (as the name suggests haha)
Also, Doctor Who is the one show I've constantly returned to simply because of the technology within the TARDIS. I love that the lore for the TARDIS's iconic look is because of the chameleon circuits getting stuck on the look of a British police box.
Hey please help me out here, I may or may not have crafted the console in the overworld and now it just is stuck in the middle of a field, and I'm not sure how to pick it up, I expected it to pop out like an item like the Terra former, and now I'm unsure what to do, I wanted to build start a build later where the thing appeared and my pickaxe isn't doing anything 😭😂
for some reason when I astral manipulator the zeiton block, polished deepslate wall x2, and zeiton lantern in the same order in the vid, it doesnt do the thing ive done this before and it did the thing but it hasnt been working for a few worlds now is this a common bug and has a fix
i actually tried designing it, but it's basically impossible to make it on an accurate scale, since there's so many details. id have to make it really big, which would also make the tutorial quite difficult to make/follow. I'll see if I can find a way to do it later down the line tho :)

thats because this mod is for fabric or neoforge 1.20.2, not for the latest version of minecraft, which is currently 1.20.6. to install fabric, head to their website: fabricmc.net/
ive been wanting to play a doctor who run using tardis refined 1.19.2 fabric, but i have no idea what mods i should add to make it good, can anyone suggest some 1.19.2 fabric mods that will work well with it? i want a nice scifi run but i just dont know where to start since im new to modding
I would recommend using 1.20.2, since that's the version this update is for - if you use 1.19, you won't get any of the features present in this video. you might also find there are some better mods available for 1.20.2, since it's a more recent update :)
Just download the correct fabric version via the fabric website, and then download this mod using the link in the description and put it in the .minecraft/mods folder. if you need help downloading fabric I'm sure there's plenty of tutorials online :)
I've had a look in the discord, and it says the team found some issues with the neoforge version before release, and are currently in the process of fixing them and uploading a new version. id recommend waiting a couple of days and checking again, or playing the fabric version in the meantime :)
I think literally all the code would have to be re-written from scratch, so we're unlikely to see it for now. maybe at some point in the future though!
i was going to add this mod to my current pack ive been messing with(its just a bunch of random mods i find cool) but its not for forge 1.20 yet guess il just have to wait then again i could whip up a quick fabric pack to mess with it for a bit
I believe the team are moving away from forge (as many mods are), so I wouldn't wait for a forge version to come out. there is a neoforge version available, or i would highly recommend making a fabric pack :)
I actually built the interiors for teabs mod, so I'm certainly aware of it haha. I might do a review eventually, but I know teab is constantly updating it so I might wait until it's a bit more fleshed out.

If it's a glitch from exporting, it should be visible in the finalized video. If they aren't present in the finalized video, it's an uploading glitch.

Speed is going to get a bit more of a rework in future plans which wouldn't match the system but It's something we're working on!

it does have the 14/15th exterior I believe! it doesnt have the sonic though, as it only has 1 type of sonic (the amethyst one)

As I opened this video I have an idea what if every time you die your skin changes “ regeneration “ and your tardis also gets regenerated.

if you put it in the middle between the two main ones, it'll reach over to the others too.

if u placed 2 consoles down how to remove 1
use a console manipulator. place it next to the console like I did, then I believe you shift right click to delete the console
i was going to add this mod to my current pack ive been messing with(its just a bunch of random mods i find cool) but its not for forge 1.20 yet guess il just have to wait then again i could whip up a quick fabric pack to mess with it for a bit
I believe the team are moving away from forge (as many mods are), so I wouldn't wait for a forge version to come out. there is a neoforge version available, or i would highly recommend making a fabric pack :)

love this mod so far. sucks its on 1.20.2 though, there's like half as many mods for that version compared to 1.20.1

I actually built the interiors for teabs mod, so I'm certainly aware of it haha. I might do a review eventually, but I know teab is constantly updating it so I might wait until it's a bit more fleshed out.
