    Thank you Allison. That was very helpful information about using their porters to expedite getting luggage and leaving. And we will definitely remember to tip him!

    Thank you so much for this series! I had my mother watch these to familiarize herself with the ship and protocols for sailing in these pandemic times. She last sailed 10 years ago but was doing a specially type of cruise (Holy lands and Bible study group).
    I am treating her to a more luxurious one (club mini suite) and this will be very different than her past cruises.
    We are on this ship & itinerary Feb 12 2022.

    I just came back from my seven day cruise in Majestic Princess last Saturday.
    It was amazing and checking in was so fast and easy as well as disembarkation at San Pedro port.
    The ship is amazing and the crew did a great job.
    I love everything about Majestic Princes and very grateful that we’re able to cruise again.

    Is it possible to make a 9:55am flight out of long beach returning from the Mexican Rivera cruise. Princess guidelines suggest more time, but realistically how early can you get off the ship and clear customs?

      If everything goes smoothly you can do it no problem. I’ll give this more thought and talk about it.

    How long did it take you to get out of the terminal building at the port those lines were massive?

    Can you please tell me how much the transportation to and from the ship were?

      To/From LAX and the Port of Los Angeles, we paid $39 each, per direction for the Princess Shuttle. We felt it was very much worth the price for the peace of mind of using Princess.

    I’ll be on the Majestic for the February 26, 2022 Love Boat cruise remembering Gavin McLoud, Merrill Stubbing, the Captain of the Love Boat. I was on the 50th Anniversary cruise of Princess in 2015 & look forward to see if they will autograph the back of my already signed tee-shirt. Great video.
    I’m planning to shoot both still photos & if possible some video. One photo I have & will always cherish, & I plan to take some 8x10 copies & give them to the remaining staff, is a photo of myself & Captain Stubbing in the terminal at San Pedro. Please let me know how I can share any photos with you. If possible I will take some video as I’m boarding the ship. I’m hosting a meeting with an internet group I’m involved with, Cruise Critic, & they will be invited to come. Yes I’m excited since I was on the 50th Anniversary Cruise on the Pacific which was used for a lot of there films. Keep in touch.

    Still debating adding bus to airport or Uber. How long was wait? We have 12:40 flight.

      the night or two before your return, they will put a questionnaire in your room, asking you what are your travel plans by hour. They will schedule you accordingly. You could ask earlier at the service desk about the timing if you are nervous. Last time we pulled our own bags through the terminal and were in our car by 8 am.

    • @LetsGoTravelTips
      @LetsGoTravelTips  2 года назад +1

      Hi Barbara, Devi’s suggestion is perfect! You can walk off the ship really early. Since your flight is at 12:40, you also have plenty of time if you request to be in the first Princess shuttle group to the airport. Whichever way you prefer to get to the airport should work fine. :)

    is there an option for taking off your own luggage when disembarking. We have done that on other cruise lines.

    • @LetsGoTravelTips
      @LetsGoTravelTips  2 года назад +1

      Yes! That is no problem at all. Just take your luggage with you. We have done that as well.

    I love your channel, Allison! We will be 0n this exact cruise in March. How does COVID testing work for re-entry into the US? Is it done on the ship the day before or in the port on arrival?

    • @LetsGoTravelTips
      @LetsGoTravelTips  2 года назад +1

      Hi Danny, Thank you! There is no testing required for cruise ship passengers returning to the US. If they change and start requiring it, I will be sure to do a video about it to let everyone know. I hope you have a wonderful cruise!
