“They don’t know how LUCKY they got with John Deacon!” …And don’t forget: John designed and built the one-of-a-kind DEAKY AMP, which is what enables Brian to make all those limitless, different sounds come out of his guitar!! (…I always LAUGH when Roger & Brian are both commenting on the same thing, cuz Brian’s always all positive and saying nice things… then we have Rogerina, saying “it was rubbish!”)🤨
This is the most genuine reactor to discovering Queen, from where it all began with Live Aid, to now reacting to documentaries. It’s been so good to watch. Seeing someone fall in love with something so close to your own heart is just something else. Rory shows a real appreciation to the work, the challenges of the time and the talent- and of our Freddie😊. One of the few people who, when they pause the video to talk, I’m listening with interest. Love this guy. There was me, middle aged woman, worried that all our fantastic music was going to be forgotten by the younger ones, reactors are showing me different and it’s glorious. ❤
This is a really good documentary. Funny story Freddie shaved his chest hair off so he would look more clean, later he just let it grow, the newspapers accused him of wearing a chest toupee 😅. Great reaction
Crazy for me to face the fact that I have never ever seen this documentary 😱 I have 5 favorite groups … you mentioned The Doors who are in my Top 5 … Queen is and will always be my number 1 Thank you Rory 😊🥰 Hugs to Nala ❤️
To imagine a little boy from zanzibar who grew up in india and later moved to england and we have Queen! He wrote Crazy little thing called Love about Elvis! Wrote it in bathtub!
Well he spent about the same time in both Born and brought up in zanzibar until 8 They sent him to a boarding school in Panchgani India until 16 He only saw his parents family in the holidays He then stayed in zanzibar for about a year then they had to flee to Britain
Though he was diagnosed in 87. I think it more than likely. He had a good idea of the truth. In 86 / as he made that statement. Even if it was just an intuition. A gut feeling. Fred wasn't yet ready to face
It would have scared him that his ex from 1980 died in 86 But they had little information at that time and probably didn't know you could have HIV for up to 10yrs
I remember. I was 18 in 86. The reason I think so. Is hearing an interview from Mary. That he delayed seeing a doctor. Cause he was not ready. For the answer @@bluebell3720
I'm psyched that you're doing this. Can't wait for the rest. Best Queen documentary there is. (And don't get me started on how much the Bohemian Rhapsody movie sucked.)
This is one of the best docs on Queen that I have run across. So glad to see you doing Queen again. Thank you for doing this doc! Freddie did have many stages of looks, I liked the 1979 Hammersmith concert look best. Have a great day, and give Nala a hug.
REQUEST, Rory… “FREDDIE MERCURY: THE UNTOLD STORY” …It starts with Fred’s childhood in Zanzibar and is REALLY WELL DONE.💕 (It’s almost 2 hours long, and is available (not sure which channel) already separated into segments.)
Great reaction, Rory. I'm so glad you're finally doing this doc. I think you'll like it. I think you're right about Deacy. He was perfect for them and vice versa. It simply was meant to be. You killed me with the dildo lightsabers...LOL!
Queen are still with us and still a great act. Adam Lambert is brilliant, he doesnt try to be Fred but his voice technically is better. Not as raspy though which i loved.
Its personal preference But Freddie was a tock singet Adam isnt so they eill perform the song very different Apparently Adam was trained and did musicals for years Personally I find when something is more "correct" it sometimes looses something and you dont feel the emotional connection in the same way
At 5:30… Did you see those two ladies on the sidewalk turn around doing a double take, as Brian walked by them? 🤯😅 And Rory… YES, that comment Freddie made at the beginning had a lot of underlying meaning! (There’s no question that Freddie “knew” what was coming for him… He just avoided being officially diagnosed for as long as possible.)
18 hes referring to the guitar solo Not sure how much Freddie ' needed' his help and much Brian decided to help! After that Freddie said well if you want to write your solo fine but it will be uncredited Thats what they did!
Freddie was a wonderful, wonderful human being, respectful of different personal inclinations. But, he wasn't a pushover . . . after all that song evolved from stories he would create to entertain his little sister.
Freddie: “ I’m going to be a legend”
Truer words have never been spoken
Haven’t seen that smile on your face in a while 🤣. Its a different smile. A long happy smile😁 that only Freddie & Queen can create.

Yes Rory, The vision of Freddie is real now..HE'S A LEGEND! ❤

So pleased to be engrossed in this and having your observations to consider. Thanks!
Your absolutely right on about Deaky . All four were destined to be.

Hi you would have liked them live they was good I’d seen them 5 times and there last one at knebworth 140 thousand. He looked better when he got older
For the last time his name is John Deacon with a C, so his nickname is spelled D e a C y.

Still waiting for part 2
Was part two taken down? 1 & 3 showed up on my feed. Looked for 2, & found nothing.
