Crazy Little Thing Called Love was written by Freddie as a tribute to Elvis Presley and Cliff Richard. Cliff Richard is huge in the UK. He has sold the third most singles in UK history, only behind Elvis and The Beatles.
@philliplewis8006 I saw them in 1986 at Wembley. The concert was a few hours. And I'm telling you that was better than the 15 mins at live aid. Forget about your feelings and emotions I'm talking facts. Muppet
He also performed that day against doctors' orders due 2 a severe throat infection and still performed and sounded that great...That says a lot about Freddie🎉❤😊
You're such a delight; your joy is infectious. I have yet to see anyone get bored even when they don't know the songs. Freddie is just so captivating as he struts around, and it's easy even watching the video for the performance to seem so personal. Love it.
Absolutely loved this reaction!! You really should have been in stage with them!! Nothing like a person who says they don’t know anything about Queen, then suddenly realise they know most of their music! 😍
I'm so glad you checked this out! My favorite band ever. I've watched this at least 50 times. It never gets old! I love seeing people react for the first time.
I love your reaction to live aid. I hope you give a lot of these songs a deeper dive Queen fans won’t let you down neither will Queen. They have a large library with tons of hit songs.❤️✌️🌼
The singer/pianist is Freddie Mercury. He wrote Bohemian Rhapsody and Queen presented this song in video form which changed how musical videos were created from then on (1975). Each of the 4 members of Queen are very creative musicians of multiple instruments, composers, lyracists, and each has been inducted into the Song Writers' Hall of Fame among many other honors.
Also Bohemian Rhapsody wouldn't have been as big as it was if it wasn't for Kenny Everrett who was a good friend of him and continuously played the song on his radio show.
I was so excited for you when I saw you were reacting to Live Aid! Thank you for this awesome reaction, so glad you enjoyed it! You should definitely do more Queen, they did so many different genres, they could do anything. I'm gonna add my vote to everyone else suggesting Somebody to Love, Live in Montreal 1981 😊😊😊😊😊😊
@LorieSteele-n2l I was 15, and in a crazy turn of events, you share the same name of my cousin , 3 years older. 😂, had to click your pic to make sure it wasn't. Not creepy, it's the power of music, and shared experiences, in this mean assed ole world. Rock on sister! ✌️❤️
Awwww, I love your reactions and that you reacted to this. Would love to see you react to Queen Somebody to Love, live in Montreal 1981. I know you’ll love it!
These are all original Queen songs Freddie wrote 3 of them, Brian wrote 2 and Roger wrote 1 but all four members are songwriters, have had number 1 songs and all are in the Songwriter's Hall of Fame...and of course the band is in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You really looked like you were having a good time, which is what always happened at a Queen Concert, they were super-charged and Freddie held the audience in the palm of his hand. Every member of this band is at the top of their field. Thank you for your reaction. I love this set from this concert.
Girl you have as much energy as Freddie. You made me laugh so hard. ... you said all the right things. "Baby daddy, a lot in them jeans, sass, he lit, freaky, fun as hell, entertaining, showing out, amazing, so much energy, man he sounds good, I wudda cried if I was there, damn, amazing, we love you too, off the chain, mind blowing" Best live aid reaction ever. Thank you♥

Crazy little thing called love was Freddies tribute to Elvis when Elvis died. It was later covered by Dwight Yokum. I was fortunate enough to See Queen live in 86 at LA Colosium.
This is their song darl. There have been a millions of great/brilliant artists before and since queen. But there will never be another Queen. Absolute genius. Have to be top five bands of all time. Keep giving us your brilliant reactions K and we will keep giving you the love you deserve!👍🏻🍺🤘🏻
I was fortunate enough to work with someone who Loved Queen, and gave me everything that they published, beginning with Smile, the Original band. I also have Freddie's Opera recordings.
You should watch the movie, "Bohemian Rhapsody" that came out a few years ago where the actor who played Freddie received the Academy Award for Best Acdtor. It's really good and shows how Queen came together and their time together creating their timeless music. And I think this concert was their first time back in a while and they blew everybody away and they gave the BEST performance of any other performers. This concert is depicted in the movie as well. There was no better front man than Freddie! Check out his "Under Pressure" live at Wembley Stadium as well. It's so fun! Also, my favorite live performance is their "Somebody to Love" (if you haven't done it) in 1981 Montreal. Loved watching you watch this!
Queen are fantastic live, been a fan since early 70s & have been lucky to see them twice. Love ur reaction,u must watch Somebody to love live in Montreal. Spectacular.x
I absolutely loved your reaction…… your happiness was infectious and made me smile 😊 a lot. I am so happy that you liked this performance as much as you did ….. I love how much you appreciated Freddie’s singing……you really need to continue to react to more live Queen songs. I just watched your other Queen reaction to “Fat Bottom Girls”…… you should watch the live version….Queen songs are better live than recorded. Could you please react to “Somebody to Love “ live in Montreal 1981…. You will love it. Thank you so much for your great reaction…. I’m looking forward to your next Queen song. 💕
Great reaction, thanks! You earned a sub. Queen is the greatest live band ever! You know many more Queen songs than you realize. I recommend you check out Under Pressure live at Wembley 1986 and/or Another One Bites The Dust Live at Wembley 1986. They are back to back if you care to do both. Queen does not disappoint!
Yes, Queen Band guys wrote Bohemian Rhapsody. Freddie Mercury, piano; Brian May, tall long hair guitar player; John Deacon guitar player short skinny by piano or by drums; and Roger Taylor on Drums. All sing and play instruments or drum. All wrote songs for Queen. Song is Radio Gaga!
Hey sis, Ur watching pure magic, literally paranormal. Wish I could have been at this concert, but so blessed to have gotten the experience when I did. Being in the crowd is a true paranormal experience. This concert makes me emotional. R.I.P. Freddie. Musical genius. Thanx doll, take care, Peace
I was at this concert at the old Wembley Stadium. Scorching hot day. I still have the programme. I was also at the last Queen Concert with Freddie in August 1986.
This was Queen at their best. No big stage or lighting .. just four phenomenal musicians. At the time of this concert Queen were one of a few stadium bands … earlier in the year they headlined in Rio which had over 250,000 people. Queen were that good.
HEYYYY Darling!!! I’ve always liked your fun reactions, so what a TREAT this was to see you react to my FAVORITE singer in the whole world… Like an extra Christmas present for me!!
I actually got to see this. My mom and I went to England for the summer and the hotel we were staying at was associated with the arena. Even at 8 years old, I understood that I was seeing something magical. Ironically, we are from Philadelphia, where the other half of Live Aid was held. After the MOVE bombing in May 1985 (look it up, it was a nightmare), my mom decided to take us on vacation far away from that mess.
Freddy wrote 3 songs, and mucked around with them. In the end he said good it and put all 3 together, hence Bohemian Rhapsody was born. I was there and boow were they electric. His Dr told him not to do this, as aids was affecting his throat. He turned his vocal down a notch, but boy, they made live aid the success it was ❤.They only had a set time each artist, and queen got it spot on, they entertained, and didn't just promote new music no one knew of.Freddy engaged the crowd perfectly 👌 Apart from Crazy little thing, all the songs are Queen songs
Sorry, just found you; so, I’m late to the Comment Section! I’m a 68 y/o Glamma. You seem to enjoy the background of things. And, I’m a Trivia sponge, so here goes: FUN FACTS FIRST: The kisses are for his Mom who was watching him on Television. MATTER OF FACTS: They had just completed a Tour a month b4. So, they went & rented a Stadium to practice the performance. He ended up with a Throat Infection & the Doctor highly recommended he not do it bc he might lose his musical ability. He said no! Can you tell he had a severe throat infection? Most people think he was drinking booze from the cups bc on the piano. He’s drinking Honey & Tea. His command of the Audience was more than coincidence it was miraculous. Considering there were so many people there the sound was getting absorbed through them. So the people @ the back we’re following his hand gestures bc the actual sound hadn’t even reached them b4 the next sound was coming @ them. Go back & watch what his hands are doing & what the Audience is doing. NEXT: Radio Gaga is celebrating Radio bc M-TV is just getting started. LADY GAGA was a huge Freddie Fam growing up, so That was where she came up with HER STAGE NAME! You have to listen to the words to really understand the meaning. Most of us didn’t have a clue what a Band looked like unless we saw them in Person! NEXT-MICROPHONE. At sometime along the way a Microphone Stand broke, so that was the only spilt second solution they could come up with. He realized the freedom he had to move, dance, & engage the Audience. NEXT MICHAEL JACKSON & ELVIS CONNECTION on Song THIS THING CALLED LOVE: It was written as his homage to Elvis-Freddie was a big fan. But, he just wasn’t sure about the song bc he didn’t want to taint Elvis. SO, he played it for Michael J. (Yes, they were friends!). And Michael told him he HAD TO, he said “Freddie, you have to”! (Can’t you just see that!?). NEXT FREDDIE’s VOICE. HE HAD 4 extra teeth so that’s the reason he had such an overbite. He had the ability to naturally flow from Octave to Octave. It was a natural progression, for him. SCIENTIFICALLY: Test were done on his Voice. He was able to use his Throat muscles on either side of his vocal cords. Which is normally seen in some Opera Singers. His Vocal Range was from Low Bass F, to High Soprano F! They were extremely surprised to find out that he could go from about 92Hz to 784Hz, effortlessly! See ACTUAL REPORT BELOW: nyone who has listened to a Queen track knows that Freddie has a unique ability that still has not been truly replicated since. His ability to blend highs, lows and mid range notes cohesively and with immense precision. This skill was due to the fact that Freddie was able to create faster vibrato and harmonics than any other singer at the time. Not only this, he was able to shift through registers effortlessly. Although he naturally held a baritone voice, he primarily sang as a tenor and of course had no problem then shifting into soprano parts. One study on Freddie’s vocal range even confirmed that he was able to vary from about 92.2 Hz to 784 Hz, meaning he was reliably able to hit notes from the booming low of F#2 to the high pitch G5 - that covers a full three octaves! LEAD GUITARIST: Brian May, is playing on a Guitar he & his Father made. When he first starting to learn they were too poor to afford a high end guitar. So, they just made one! They made out of an old cabinet his mother was going to throw awayThe included some “extras” that would normally have to be separate instruments to get all those features (think Concerts when you see guitarist changing Guitars depending on the Song….that’s why he didn’t)! I’m sorry to take up your Valuable Time, and I thank you. You need anymore Trivia I’m your G’Ma go to. My Brain is full, especially with music! LAST INTERESTING INFO: When he is waving his arm it is to tell the cameramen which way he is going bc he’s moving around so much. When he kicks his legs backwards that is getting over all the cables, that are on the Stage. TV Cameras were not cordless back in the day!! And, “We Will Rock You”, is actually a Prelude to “We Are The Champions”. (It is really all 1 Song!) You just, truly, saw “ The Greatest Show On Earth!” Brian May said Freddy was a hard taskmaster in rehearsals. But, that he always was right about what the Audience wanted…would say that worked out pretty well..wouldn’t you agree? Freddy turned the whole Audience in to his backup singers!
There is my automatic like Shavon again. Love the everlasting "Don't Give a F" Energy. All the best for 2025, polite hug from Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
I remember back in my 20’s when I had no f’n clue what I was doing in life. My room was very similar to yours. Small and personal. You are having sooo much fun! Keep it going girl. Your charisma will build you into something great. Not quite like Freddy but on and up you must go!
Freddie was asked once "What instrument do you play?" Freddie said "I play the crowd darling."
Love that - that is SO Freddie!
I’ve never heard this! Thanks for the share! ❤❤

Freddie was a musical god (the entire band was). RIP Freddie❤️ All these are Queen songs. Everyone has heard Queen whether they knew it or not.
Elvis Presley died 1977. This is 8 years later, 1985. Freddie wrote the song in remembrance of Elvis.
Freddie wrote the song 2 years after Elvis Died.
Freddie wrote it in 5 minutes in the bathtub for real.

(It is really all 1 Song!)
You just, truly, saw “ The Greatest Show On Earth!”
Brian May said Freddy was a hard taskmaster in rehearsals. But, that he always was right about what the Audience wanted…would say that worked out pretty well..wouldn’t you agree? Freddy turned the whole Audience in to his backup singers!
