Thank you for reviewing Dakine packs! While doing research on packs, I haven't been able to find very many reviews of this brand. I personally love Dakine backpacks and have been considering getting a newer version.
Thanks for watching 😃
-Eric
I’ve been using Dakine backpacks since Freshman year of high school, through college, and now a daily use for work!🙌🏻
what a thorough review! thank you, liked and subscribed!
More upright standing backpacks! It's such an annoyance when they flop down forwards when I set them down.
That’s a super handy feature if you’re using the pack on the go a lot! 😃
-Eric
@@PackHacker2do you have a possibility or list on packhacker on stmading up packs?
@@P373RV2Yes, would love a list of standing backpacks
I have the 25 liter version of it and i love this backpack 😍 (my previous backpack zipper broke and i used it for 6 years)
I love Dakine!! As someone fron Hawaii the brand is a staple. They have more travel releases in the Verge series that I would love to try.
Thanks for sharing, Mandy!

ty so much for the review! there is a so called premium version of this bag, which seems to be slightly smaller, with better materials, and no cooler pocket that i would really like to see reviewed, especially because the price difference isnt so large
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.
-Eric
I had a Dakine many moons ago when I was in university, and although the feature set and such was amazing for the price, the bag was unfortunately not very durable :( Didn't last long at all. My original Targus Voyager bag from back then though is *still* going strong. It lasted the remaining 5 years of my university career after the Dakine, 2 cross-country moves, and daily use for my first job for a year or so before I eventually replaced it with something else. But it's still used as storage for random things to this day.
Thanks for sharing 😃

Felt exactly the same regarding the strap connector. So uncomfortable...it seems they didn't test it!I hope with time it will get more loose.
I'm a big fan of Dakine apparel, especially backpacks since they're are the most durable backpacks I ever had but I don't like how reduced the space is with this version of Campus. In my old Campus(both 33L) I could fit way more stuff than in the new one. It's like the second big pocket(the one in front of the notebook pocket) limit's the space of the first one). If you fill the biggest pocket you can't fit anything in the second pocket but you can't also stretch the first one much since the second one's zipper and overall design is limiting it. I should make a video comparison for better understanding.
Thanks for sharing! That would be a helpful video 😃
-Eric
@@PackHacker2 I am too bad at video capturin & editing. It would be more like a video to explain to a friend lol
I've been using the 26l 2016 version of this backpack since it came out, and it's been great. The only problem I had with is is that the zipper broke after I overpacked it this summer
Thanks for sharing! Did you fix the zipper?
-Eric
@@PackHacker2 not yet. It can still be closed, but the zipper is hard to get past a certain point. I decided I should buy an actual travel backpack instead, a am now using this one when I go shopping
Any idea what pack you’ll go with? 🧐
-Eric
I wanted to get the Aer TP3, but I decided it's out of my price range.
I currently have a script that checks a few local eBay equivalents for packs from Aer, Minaal, Wandrd, Peak Design, Ablecarry, and a few others.
If I don't find anything that way, I should be able to get one of the ones I'm interested in on black Friday.
Let us know what you end up getting 😃
-Eric
Does a 17 inch laptop fit?
Any response on this?
Thank you! Definitely not a bag to buy with such poor threading.
