I grew up with Need for Speed Underground 2 and always wished for driving a 350z one day... Now I am owning a 2016 370z Nismo v2... Im soooo happy... such a great car...
Beautiful ride and I love the mix and match on the body kit. Just FYI those short rams are hurting your HP. The VQ runs hot and they're sucking in that hot engine bay air. Longtubes are the solution.
That aero kit looks fantastic on that Z both front and rear. I like how it changes the look on the 370Z, making it look more like an exotic car. Really makes it look sharp. That's what the Nismo version should have looked like right from Nissan! I also love the gloss bronze rims too! I have been toying around with the idea of having my stock Rays rims on my 370Z refurbished in a very similar color along with the door pulls and badges so everything matches and looks like it came stock that way.
370Z (Z34) is one of the most capable cars when you mod them. They respond extremely well to forced induction and handle as good as a Porsche. It's too bad for some reason the stance community has fell in love with them and instead of being time attack track beasts they become IG show cars.
I have a 2018 370Z Nismo in black. Had it from new and it’s been faultless. The only mod I have done is to fit resonated short tail exhausts which has completely transformed the character of the car…… sounds very much like your “RED ZED” 😎👍🏻 A brilliant old fashioned sports car with hydraulic steering , analog suspension, a limited slip differential, a big naturally aspirated V6 engine and a manual gearbox……. Perfect.
Sad to hear that. It is true tho, these cars are really not for beginners. They make enough power to be dangerous, and you can disable all electronic aids. Add to that the pretty low sitting position and not great visibility - it can be a dangerous car. That being said....to be able to have a decent V6, rear wheel drive, a 6spd manual and a small coupe all bundled together - it makes for a fantastic car. Especially if you do just a little bit of work on it in terms of upgrading the suspension and cooling components, the car can be such a good sportscar. Have mine for 4 years now and I don't think I'll be changing it any time soon. If I will ever want something else, I'll just get another car on the side.
I put a set of forged magnesium monoblock wheels from Litespeed Racing on my 6MT sport pkg Z to replace the OEM 19" Rays forged aluminum wheels. The reduction in unsprung rotating weight was about 9 lbs per wheel.
Everyone loves the Rayes wheels though. What does 9 lbs unsprung weight/wheel translate to in terms of crank HP? I imagine not all that much. Prob more cost effective to mod the engine.
@@scottrc5391 The reduction in unsprung weight improved the suspension dynamics quite noticeably; in terms of a smoother ride, better wheel tracking on road irregularities and better steering response. Because it's rotational weight, the car accelerates and decelerates better and has gotten about a 1 mpg improvement in fuel economy. By my calculations, my car went from about 8.5 lbs/hp to about 8 lbs/hp. My engine is putting out about 387 peak hp at the crank(by estimation of 17% drivetrain losses). I calculate that I would have to get about 414 hp to achieve the same power to weight ratio using horsepower increases alone. Part of the improvement in unsprung rotational mass is the use of lighter Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (240) tires. These are taking off about 3 lbs at the front corners and 5 lbs at the rear corners. The moment of inertia of a rotating mass varies as the square of its distance from the axis of rotation, so mass reductions from the tires will have a more dramatic effect than mass taken off near the hub. The reduction of 36 lbs from the weight of the wheels has resulted in improvements in the acceleration that is more than what a 36 lb reduction in overall car weight would cause, and this is due to the nature of rotational weight. The wheels were expensive and you could make the case that the performance gains were not worth it, but the car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
The Z is a great car for people starting in the hobby that wants to spend some $$$ in something that will be easy to handle while you learn to drive fast(safely) but can bring also you through some magic when you decide to unleash the beast. Drive that VQ between 2500 and 5000 rpm and enjoy the road and the day... Dont let it go under 3500, cut gears and enjoy the car, that VQ never wants you to stop.
I recently drove my friends 370Z and it was a great car. Ive had a MX5 my entire adult life so I'm accustomed to very low horsepower and good handling. But the Z obviously felt a lot bigger but it's also a lot more car. The power was great, very fast coming from a MX5 and cruised on the highway beautiful. I believe they get a bad reputation because of the exhaust notes when the cats are removed. But also being quite heavy but if you can look passed that they really are amazing car. Azura's looks amazing as well.
The Z is definitely a lot larger than the MX5! I've not been exposed to many 370Z in my lifetime so I guess I've spoiled myself by filming this with Azura. Thanks for watching!
The thing is everyone overprices these cars now and especially the dealer. I would steer away from early 370z models from 09 to early 2012 due to the dreaded oil gallery gasket issue. This also affected g37 coupes/sedans and early fx models. Not everyone will experience it however but if you pass the 180k mark 😂 you’re good and lucky. Late 2012 and higher has been revised by Nissan for the VQ37. Earlier engine models came with stupid paper gasket seals and if that breaks you will experience a massive drop in oil pressure then goodbye engine. why Nissan decided to do this is beyond me.
Yeah, overpricing is ridiculous on everything. I got a bit lucky getting mine when the market was depressed when COVID hit. I'm at 111k on an 09 bought for what is now apparently a bargain price. Anyway I've watched a number of vids on the oil gallery gasket issue and it seems inconclusive. The supposed cause was failure by Nissan to lock-tite the screws around the gasket, not the material of the gasket (paper). You can have the same exact failure on the "new" gasket if your screws back out. Another annoying thing for early Z's is the steering lock mechanism, which was eventually ditched by Nissan. The very first and easiest mod one should do is disconnect that lock mechanism fuse the first time you turn your car on, and never worry about it again. Finally, the slave cylinder is a pain yes, but again, I'm at 111k and evidently still original one, so I'm not gonna be furious if it goes out now, as long as the next one lasts 100k too. Corvettes also have concentric slave cylinders inside their bell housing so it's not like it's unique to 370Z. I asked a dealer mechanic about the aforementioned issues and he told me he had never even seen one in the shop for these things, granted that was 4 years ago, but that the most common repair they'd been doing was to door handles... not sure why.
just bought an 09 touring manual, with 233k miles running great,,it always depends on how they treat them..mine is 100 stock so no nonsense mods wich is rare for the year
still have my 2013 base bone stock. its the next project but it is a great car. also have 88 z31 for the past 20 years. also still a great car. the z is timeless.
Literally here to decide if I wanna use this as my “granddad has had this car since 2024” car… My grandkids.. “wooaahhhhhhhhhh… it takes gas” I want a car in can change EVERYTHING ON…. It’s a hard decision because I love JDM but… I also love the 5.0 coyote platform…… Someone help me out. Budget isn’t an issue.
If you buy a late 370z or nismo, the only mods it needs are a lower weight exhaust system, lighter 2 piece brake discs with stainless breaklines, (low maintenance) Quafe lsd, forged lighter wheels, airfilter, better suspension, fully with polyurethane bushes and maybe some minor chiptuning (15hp) That's it. Leave it alone.
@@MrDuongTV1 Ah so this is whp not hp. I did a calculator and it came out at 368 hp converted (not taking into consideration drivetrain loss). That's 38hp over stock! Very impressive for NA tuning. Those intake manifolds, headers and air intakes make a huge difference!
Azura did mention the exhaust brand somewhere in the video. Cant remember its exact name, but I think he did mention that the company no longer makes exhaust
Most underated car of the modern age.

Love to hear that! Might own one as well over day 😊
By far the best looking and most unique Z ive seen
Quite beautiful isnt it!

It is very capable indeed, i didnt know there was such a huge following behind the car!

The Z is such a nice car for the money! I plan on getting into the platform one day, once I’m ready to upgrade from my track Miata lol👌🏽
Indeed it is and would be a hectic upgrade. Would love to have it as a track/weekend car myself if I'm ever in the financial situation too!
I saw this on Instagram and i instantly followed, it's very unique and different than the amuse bodykit
Thanks for subscribing mate! Welcome to the channel 😊
I had one in 2017. Dad said "You're going to get hurt in that car." 6 months later I totalled it. Walked away from that one fortunately.
Unfortunate mate. Glad to hear you are safe.

according to Enkei, every kg you take from the rims and tires make the car feel 7kg lighter.

The exhaust note is good. They get a bad reputation from the muffler deletes and shitty exhuast people buy for them.
You can lose some weight on the car. It just requires a couple k
Great Z, and great video. Love that front!
So nice!!! What year is this one ?

Great looking Z tastefully done mods
234kw is 313hp. A little low read since these are supposed to be 330hp stock right? Btw this is by far the best looking Z ive ever seen!
That rated power is measured as total engine output. 234 kW to the wheels, some power gets lost through transmission and other moving parts

Yea I’ve always used the genuine part and never choose to use the aftermarket parts.. BAM! Everything on the car is after market😂😂
There are genuine aftermarket parts and then there are copy or replica aftermarket parts lol like real and fake wheels
Such a gorgeous car. What exhaust do you have?
Azura did mention the exhaust brand somewhere in the video. Cant remember its exact name, but I think he did mention that the company no longer makes exhaust
The powerband of vhrs are nice and fun since it's broad
Very linear too its beautiful
How much is the bumper and where did u buy those?
Iv never been a big fan of these but this might’ve just sold me😂 I need the body kit links if I decide to get one.
Where can I get this body kit
Hard to beat a 370z for the price. Especially a nismo v2. 30k gets you a lot of car imo
She’s quality son 🔥💯💪🏻
planning to get one😍
I need that screen!
Wow great video and car
thx for the content
This car is fucking gorgeous, any possibility to get a full mod list?
Dont have it on me, but Azura does mention most, if not all in the video. You might just have to sit and watch with a Pen 😂
that is a beautiful Z
Got enough power for me coming from a 170hp bmw and 258 hp truck I use as a daily
Nice Zed🙃
Indeed it is!
Fun ass car after modding
🔥🔥🔥🔥
I need that spoiler
Most people in the uk in my area don't even know what my 370 is...
Camry flex
masterpiece z
Why I just got one
those bumpers are atrocious but otherwise nice build
