He wins father of the year award for bringing Taylor to SG
It is very obvious Taylor agreed to come and do 6 shows which is very very tiring, mostly because the pre year 2000 Singapore gave both her parents wonderful memories. What is a few million to her and she does not need to kowtow to PAP ministers like Singkies do.
This concert has elevated Singapore position to a higher rung with the world wide highly discussed & envied event! Well done Singapore! 🇸🇬
We have not been elevated to that position yet until we bring in Madonna concert here
@@bobafett5757 Ya. 18feb2024, she fell before her concert in Vancouver. May be is bcos she is 65years now. Hope she is ok. 😊
Sure just learn from the PRC and flash your Sg passport overseas to earn more international resentment and hate.
@@tangt4860 Their passport got issue at recent Airplane show so its not fair
@@bobafett5757She already came here in 2016 and I'm not sure if she will perform in Asia again anytime soon
Brilliant Minister Edwin Tong! You made it happened and there are many spin-offs! Thank you for boosting the economy during these uncertain times!
He the difference,had to concur
With the event being hotly debated of whether the Republic should sponsor the concerts,
this interview is not just a timely response to the citizens doubts, it also cleverly promoted the CityState and the Sporthub's reputation as an world-class entertainment hub! Kudos Singapore! You always seize the opportunity well.
You forgot about Inflations ?
Well done, brought a windfall to Singaporeans and SG economy 👏👏👏
U forgot about Inflations ?
So how much are you getting?
@@tangt4860 CDC Vouchers give a leg up to survive 👍
Making it last stop of her show, so she can extend more nights. This is a very considerate move, a considerate move for neighbors. Well done.
You did great 👍 well done ! Thanks a lot
Singapore is awesome.
Awesome and well done Singapore ministers!💪💪💪
Thank you for the effort! ❤ Though it was really really tough to get tickets for even Singaporeans 😂
SG really spent substantially for Taylor swift. We even bought eight new F-35A fighter jets recently to remind our fellow neighbors who is the king of SEA.
Politicians in the region are just waiting to see Singapore fall and fail and you gave them one more reason to band together.

*Blank Space is Taylor Swift best song ever cos it is well produced*
Respectfully disagree. I agree with the minister here. As a non Swiftie who is getting older, we either the more heartfelt story lyrics of All to Well, or if we want something more soulful, then something more mature like (the live concert version of) Don’t Blame me
@@brutustantheiii8477 Style is so much better and mature sounding than All Too Well is too cheesy and pedestrian and Madonna Dont Tell Me is so much catchy and melodious than Taylors Dont Blame Me or have you heard Taylor Dayne Dont Rush Me is so good
PAP has proven once again that it is the only competent and effective party in s'pore.❤❤
Am not a swiftie but thank you for great work for our little SG! 💪🏼🫡
😂😂😂
👍👍👍thk u very much Sir❤
Swift and sure
Ugh this daddy has taste
Better hope he kept his receipts for the tickets
Didn't Taylor Swift Tour get $3-$4million extra per concert for Singapore exclusivity?
No. Read the news. It is total 2 to 3 million for the whole concert, which is peanut. And Minister Tong did say in this video, "to make it the last stop for Singapore so she could extend more nights if there is an opportunity".
@@panda63725 LOL. Impossible. She made $25 million per concert in Australia. Her team would never settle for a measley $3M total. She sells out STADIUMS (not arenas) which is over $10M+ easy for any A tier act. The sweetened money was to LOCK her act in Singapore as enticement to not go elsewhere like HK, Phillippines, China, Korea, etc.
@@dr150
You didn’t get it. Grant means money is given to Taylor’s concert organisers to assure them that they won’t incur any losses if the concert tickets didn’t sell well. Singapore government is willing to spend and bet on Taylor knowing how popular she is. All her concert tickets were sold out, so it deems a success, a win win situation.
It’s no surprise that many world governments would give out grants to invite celebrities to their countries. Last month the Hong Kong government offered more than $16 million grants to the football organisers to help bring Messi to play in Hong Kong. But Messi snubbed Hk govt and faked injury and refused to play. In the end, Hong Kong govt refused to pay the grants to the organisers. For snubbing Hk, China barred Messi and cancelled all his advertising contracts and so he had lost more than 20 million in advertising money…
@@dr150
You have mistaken. Grants is not given to Taylor Swift but to the concert organisers who helped to bring her concerts to Singapore. Taylor is filthy rich, she doesn’t take money from any governments…

Lao Funker.
I hope he paid the tickets himself.
Singapore government gave US3 million per night to Taylor's agent😮
A few concerts and the republic 's ego is bigger than the solar system. It sounds like the republic next to the land of Kollywood.
What a snake…

3 concerts and an island's ego becomes bigger than the solar system.
Anyone can do that job if it only involves spending other people's money
gross misuse of taxpayers money.. and is this paid advertisement?
Why no cdc voucher for swifties? Sg should be protected from scalpers
Unfortunate n poor people struggling pay lots of money to get singer to sing why don't HV sudden Idea to help d unfortunate n d poor so what yr next surprise. Event minister?
