I'm pretty sure they deliberately do it to increase engagements on their channel. They like to be controversial since people love controversial, nobody enjoys a perfect thing. It's human perception in today's world
@@rhysspeight7142Oh gosh right?! This was 8 years ago? If only people like this person knew how much worse it got today. SMH. 🙂↔️They probably do but still. It’s not much better these days. Some things just never change.
Why'd you fight the succubus and the troll? Their respective stories are much more interesting if you don't hack and slash at everything to solve a predicament.
I don't think it did but IGN usually whore themselves out to CoD games and they take money from the developers to give good reviews which is why each year (except this one I think) CoD gets a new perfect score.
Josh A I thought i just told you, the companies that make the CoD games usually give IGN money to give their repetitive games a high "IGN score" i guess this year they didn't because i think it got a low score but i'm not sure i didn't check it. Anyways you take IGN reviews with a grain of salt as you can *usually* not trust them.
like what he said at the end, patience is key. I have already put 300+ hrs into TW3 and I started that game the same way, I picked it up, didn't like it and quit for a while. After a bit I went back and patiently put some time in because everyone kept raving about the game and humbly I'll say they were correct. The Witcher 3 is just downright amazing, literally the best game I've ever had the pleasure of playing. TW2, looks a bit dated from going backwards but once you get over the feeling of being trapped in a more linear world and start to give the game a chance it is really rewarding. Can't wait to see the dev's upcoming projekt ;)
What to do after completing witcher 2. 1. play witcher 3 2. Play on deathmarch 3. Play new game plus 4.think about the 200 hours you spent on the game. 5.Buy blood and wine/Hearts of stone 6.cry about the 75 hours you used up 7. Get your memory wiped 8.cry 9. Repeat all those steps 10. Once u completed step 9 do it again
To anybody who has not yet experienced Witcher 2, get it, either because it is on sale or because it will be free on Xbox live in 2 days, just get it. This game will surpass your expectations and then some.
MoRo1333 man witcher 3 is the firs witcher game for me, and puting more then 30 hrs on this game, i can easly say is one of the best games i ever played the story, the combat, the skill tree, the graphics, are awsome, its is a must buy game this year
kashi alban Yes, I heard they have changed combat mechanics from W2. They were horrendous there. I think I will get the game. I must at least try why everybody is going crazy over it. :)
I started this game about two days ago. First game i've really enjoyed in a long time. Huge fan of Elder Scrolls game so this game felt like a natural transition into a different title. I love the combat, the story, the characters, the depth, the crafting etc etc. Not the mention the graphics on my recently purchased gaming rig look amazing. It's a fantastic game and i would recommend it to any RPG/Role-playing fan. Looking forward to Skyrim also :)
This game is without a doubt on my top 3 list of best games i have played. It has fun and challenging combat, fun mini games, interesting characters, and one of the greatest storys to be told in an video game.
I do understand why some would not recommend Witcher 1, because of it's horrendous combat and available only on pc.. but the first game is still very important, it certainly helps to understand the characters more. if you jump into Witcher 2 directly, you'll barely gonna understand anything about the lore or the characters. (not to mention, it's plot is probably the complicated one, out of the whole trilogy). I think CDPR really needs to remake to Witcher 1. it will be a big help for the newcomer fans, who are trying to understand the lore
I love how this game is for mature. intelligent gamers. It adds pressure for devs to make a better game with a smaller target audience. We need more of this!
@Mac2095 thank you... and i hold Skyrim in higher regard because of four things: exploration (as you stated), Lore (I LOVE the norse mythology inspiration) Aesthetic Design. (even though it isn't the most graphically advanced game ever i just love how things look in that game) and immersion... moving and travelling from day to day, eating, sleeping etc... really helps the general immersive feel of the game
This series is begining to get my attention. I never played any of these. The witcher 3 looks amazing and I want it. I thought I would play this one while I wait. I love Dark Souls and Skyrim! I should get this right? I'll probably buy it tomorrow.
As a big fan of Dark Souls and the ES series, I think you should definitely try this out. Once you get past the first few hours of learning the mechanics, it becomes incredibly fun.
I'm past the prologe. Level 6. I'm on chapter 1 now and still getting used to things. One quest seemed too difficult...I tried twice then decided to just come back to it later. Is that normal? I'm playing on normal difficulty...I'll get better though. I kind of didn't like it at first but now I am coming around. I'm enjoying the story more that I thought I would and have found myself reading much of the lore.
thestew56 The game is balanced in a really weird way, as if it gets much easier the further you go into the game. I died quite a bit starting out, but once you start leveling up down a skill tree (for me it was Swordsmanship) and get good equipment, it becomes much easier. I think there is a mod out there that aim to re-balance this if you are interested. I haven't used it for myself, but I've heard good things about it.
Well, I'm playing on PS4. Only thing I dont like is you dont always face your enemy when you lock on to them like you do in dark souls but thats a minor gripe I guess. I'm still in the first area doing side quests before I defeat the lake monster. I really liking this game! The leveling is kind of slow(I like that) so I have a feeling this game is pretty long. Cool! Witcher 3 looks really great what do you think?
Absolutely. One of the best RPGs i´ve ever played. I know you really can`t compare this to Skyrim, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed playing The Witcher 2 more than I enjoyed playing Skyrim. Mainly because of the story and the way you have to prepare for the battles. You have to drink potions and apply oils to your swords, really makes you feel like the ultimate monster slayer.
Totally different games. The Witcher has a better story and better graphics but the world is limited. It sucks you can't jump (like Fable). I got stuck allot, a little frustrating at some points. Skyrim has no cutscenes and it's a open world. It also feels more alive in my opinion. I had more fun with skyrim that's for sure.( 100s of hours) When I finished the witcher I haven't touched it again.
depends I've played elder scrolls for 20+ years now my first game was doom and dagger fall. this game executes situations better than skyrin ever could. I would say better as I love games that don't sugar coat stuff or hold your hands.
This is my favorite game of all time. Amazing graphics, enticing stoyline and intense gameplay. I cant wait to play it again so i can get the second ending out of 16
+Alaa Afara It is absolutely worth downloading, like the other guy said the controls are a little weird but you get used to them. The controls are allot different than The Witcher 3 and the signs are a little weaker in this game, plus you can only drink potions and put oils on while meditating so you have to do it before a fight you can't do it during a fight but the quest and side quest are great and the story is amazing. The only problem with the game is if you choose to do Iorveth quest line instead of the Roche quest line then none of those choices affect anything in The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3 is setup like everyone chose the Roche quest line which is stupid but other than that it's amazing.
Does this game get better? I put in a hour or so in the part after you tell the guy in the prison what happened on the morning. I went through all the four parts and now I am in a tower. I thought this game was open world.... The combat is rather simple. I can just spam one button to fight and kill and that is it. The visuals are nice but it is kind of boring me. Please tell me it gets more interesting at some point.
I can't figure out why this game wasn't released on the PS3. I'm shocked that a game like this actually skipped a Playstation console. I don't have the Xbox 360, so I was never able to play this. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt was the only one I was able to play. And I LOVED that.
James Macintyre I've been trying to figure out for months why I own it when I've never bought it haha. must have downloaded it when it was free without remembering
I wasn't, but I was wondering whether or not to buy The Witcher 3 when it comes out. Thanks for your input. I'll be getting TW3 when it comes out.
People seem to forget that you can build high spec PC for around £400-£500 (approx. $600-$800) AND you don't have to buy all of it at once. Going by you're theory ,instead of forking out a large sum of money all at once for a console, someone could quite easily buy each component separately as an when they get money and put it together when they're done. The internet is readily available, they could easily learn how to make a PC with enough motivation
the Witcher 2 already has xbox one x enhancements and it plays incredibly well at 4K resolution. It was never released on the PS3 so it'd be pretty pointless to remaster it now
Considering a modern high end PC struggles to run this game, I'm not surprised it didn't come to PS3. It's super impressive that they made a 360 verison
I havn't even gotten to chapter 3 of the first game, but it doesn't seem to relate to it to the point that the sequel relies on it too often, and any questions about certain topics, people, locations can either be asked of the characters in some circumstances, or read about in the Journal. Nearly everything that needs to be known or you may want to know should be covered withen the game. I played The Witcher 2 with no knowledge of the first game and didn't have any real issues understanding.
Hi there, I was thinking of getting this for PC, but i herd if you buy the original version, you the get an update with the dlc for free? or should i just buy the enhanced edition?
Hey Whity, I'm playing this on the Xbox360 version; and I know you have to go into some sort of "meditation" mode, but how do you do with control0wise (on the controller)......and can you not use potions "on the go"?......any help would be extremely helpful; just started The Witcher 2, not familer with the control scheme on 360, and slightly frustrated. thanks man, and I love your reviews.....any help out there? inbox me!! plz!!
the camera controls are bullshit and the game is confusing early on compared to Skyrim. But it was free so I won't complain, maybe I'll give it another try but the main character runs and constantly moving the camera drives me nets.
I'm playing this game right now and I'm seriously in love with it.Once this is done I'll start playing witcher 3.Pumped for dat too and then the first one just for the back story. This a must have a game for anyone.
Just finished Witcher 1 and about to play this, please tell me it TRULY is more challenging (talking about normal difficulty). I mean after Chapter 3, the first one was a walk in the park, last boss needed one full combo to die :(
You probably can do it on "hight", not on "ultra", but for stable FPS I recomend "medium". For ultra settings in all modern games you`ll need at least 8 Gb operational memory and 2 gb graphics card with good cooling.
+Fuck You actually, it is a matter of opinion, and an incorrect opinion at that. The story is non-linear, but the game world is just as linear as a rail shooter. And the didn't pioneer non-linear storytelling either as games long before the 1st Witcher were using the "choose your own adventure" model; games such as Wing Commander, for instance.
I played the first game for a reasonably short period of time, and I just could not get over the combat, click the bloke, wait for Geralt to attack, click him again. Does this game use the same combat mechanic?
Let's not judge, It's odd he feels he needs to explain his life story in the comments, but it's equally odd that you think you need to give him your input on his entire life. To each his own.
One of the best RPGs I've ever played. You might wanna start with the 1st Withcer though. It's quite diffrent from the second one but still freaking amazing
the previous commenter stated he enjoyed games with great challenging bosses and just overall gameplay that satisfies,i simply felt obligated to share with him that dark souls offer that same experience and is another title worth looking at without discrediting the witcher in anyway

Hey Whity, I'm playing this on the Xbox360 version; and I know you have to go into some sort of "meditation" mode, but how do you do with control0wise (on the controller)......and can you not use potions "on the go"?......any help would be extremely helpful; just started The Witcher 2, not familer with the control scheme on 360, and slightly frustrated. thanks man, and I love your reviews.....any help out there? inbox me!! plz!!
How is this game compared to Baldurs gate 2 and Dark souls?
Hihi
This game is now free on Xbox live for the 360 and the one
the camera controls are bullshit and the game is confusing early on compared to Skyrim.
I mean after Chapter 3, the first one was a walk in the park, last boss needed one full combo to die :(
3 year old video!? ill comment!!! this game is awsome!!!! still the best ever! cant wait for witcher 3
This comment is 5 yrs old now😂😂
Masterpiece. Gets a sequel Witcher 3 best game ever
Hope dis is on STEAM summer SALE!!
It is right now. It is on 80% off so it only cost 4€
Erland Edd Just about to buy it!! Thanks
no thumbs down for giving your opinion they're very different games and there is nothing wrong with preferring an fps over an rpg.
You probably can do it on "hight", not on "ultra", but for stable FPS I recomend "medium". For ultra settings in all modern games you`ll need at least 8 Gb operational memory and 2 gb graphics card with good cooling.
Just got this on Xbox store for $2.99
Free on Xbox One At the moment
4$ bucks on steam for both 1-2 witcher games, totally worth it!
ikr! steam sale :D
drew1212 it's late kid go to sleep
I still can't stand the first one :(
ha that's why I'm here.
Grigori Rasputin got it for 1.5$ from G2A
Will i be able to play it at a decent framerate with some of the graphic goodies: Q9550, GTX560ti OC?
Played it for the first time today after being a long skyrim addict, can definitely confirm that this game is way better.
This game is cheap af right now. Looks great.
GET IT
The show was lit!
hell yeah, wait for the next 7 seasons
Witcher 2's story is what makes it worth playing. Everything else is convoluted and sloppy.
+WhoAteMyFunDip you're an idiotic casual
WhoAteMyFunDip you lost me at linear. This game literally pioneered non linear progression in modern gaming and that isn't a matter of opinion.
WhoAteMyFunDip I destroyed you
+WhoAteMyFunDip noob . it has the best combat ever
I played the first game for a reasonably short period of time, and I just could not get over the combat, click the bloke, wait for Geralt to attack, click him again.
Does this game use the same combat mechanic?
Its not in shops its on torrent sites which you can download and play for the xbox. But for that you need to have your xbox modified.
Now im in 2021😏

Infametheus Oh yeah ;)
My computer kind of sucks but i really want to play through this game. Is this game "hard" to run?
Why does IGN not upload PC videos in 1080p???

"What's with you, Zyvik? Booze made you batty?"
(batty is slang for gay)
Made by lesser known studio... CD Projekt Red...? Whhaaat???
Barely anyone knew about the Witcher series before this game. The Witcher 1 was a moderate success, but wasn't huge.
It's free now on games with gold. GO GET IT!

You should try 3
Let's not judge, It's odd he feels he needs to explain his life story in the comments, but it's equally odd that you think you need to give him your input on his entire life. To each his own.
Wow, I really need to play this before TW3 comes out...man that game looks gorgeous!
One of the best RPGs I've ever played. You might wanna start with the 1st Withcer though. It's quite diffrent from the second one but still freaking amazing
8 Years Ago and still not even 1M views lol
The game is very mediocre , witcher 3 is MUCH better
@@lightyagami8645 Nah it's great
STEAM SALE BITCHES!!!
the previous commenter stated he enjoyed games with great challenging bosses and just overall gameplay that satisfies,i simply felt obligated to share with him that dark souls offer that same experience and is another title worth looking at without discrediting the witcher in anyway
why is it so smooth in the video review
Two swords, one for each gender
