    One caution about removing the o-rings… I did this once and enjoyed it for a week or so but ended up wanting to put the rings back in. When I opened it up I was greeted with magnet pieces from two magnets inside. Somehow two of them began to chip apart. I can only assume that the shifting around without the o-rings caused too much vibration and the brittle magnets broke apart. Metal on metal with brittle magnets not good imo. So I replaced them and I’ll never do it again.

      that's really interesting. I haven't heard of that happening but good to know!

    Thanks for the tip, I just did this to my toad x. My wife suggested that I try 8 o rings instead of 16 but only in the corners cause the sliders felt a little weak to attract. So I tried it and it was the best of both worlds. Crunchy and still safe to do ladders without the worry of one side dropping.

    I did this and added N52’s in the corners on both sides. So very crunchy and clicky. Love lots of haptic .

      It's pretty amazing how it adds that extra sensory "tickle" isn't it?

      You can do it! Just follow the steps I laid out and you'll be fine. Honestly once you open one you get a lot more confident in opening others.

    Also you can take a q-tip add a little bit of water on it. Not much. No not soaking and then you just put it in to each hole with a grommet goes and kind of circle then put the grommet in the grommet will stick and I'm not talking about a lot of water here. Like barely wet q-tip enough to just put a little bit of liquid in there. I'm talking that will evaporate and 20 seconds or less. Because I had that same problem of those falling out and it instantly fixed it for me. Just another way if anybody's wondering

      Yeah that's a great tip. A bit of moisture would really help.

    Great video! How do you like using one zirc plate and one teflon plate? I'm partial to teflon but I've never thought of using one of each at the same time.

      It's great actually. It's somehow this perfect combination of slide and click.

    Is there a similar pathway to get a Rapt to be more scratchy/rattly?

    • @thefidgetfix
      @thefidgetfix  Год назад +1

      Absolutely. The Rapt comes standard with a foam dampener but Jonas also sells these rupper dampeners that are only half the width so you get a great rattle out of it.
