I have been excited to try to do tumblers. I just bought my cricut, but I also have an online shop that offers lots of glitters and glitter powders. The glitter powders are very holographic and so I can’t wait to try them. I have them in about 8 colors. 🤗🤗🤗
Thanks, this video was so great. I especially loved the mention of the obvious solution of sticking your transfer tape to your shirt. Wish I had thought of that before!
Love this so I tried it! It was beautiful until I clear spray sealed it. Yhe holographic is no longer noticeable. Did I do something wrong?or will the epoxy bring it back?
You mentioned sealing over poured epoxy into the little cups with lids..does that stop it from hardening as fast? And if so, about how long? Sounds like a crazy question because once mixed it starts the reaction. But, does keeping the air out slow the reaction or something?
Hi Tina! Epoxy will harden in about 30 minutes regardless of where you store it. You can store the tack-it and water mixture in a small cup with a lid and it will save for a while ☺️.
I had issues with the glitter sticking to the tumbler. The tumbler already came painted white but I still went through the whole prepping process. I used a flat spray paint and I wonder if thay is why it didn't stick. Should I use glossy paint instead??
The finish of the paint shouldn't make a difference. Try mixing the Tack It with more glue and less water next time. Then as it dries it should be noticeably tacky.
I’m not aware of any other glue that works, but 143vinyl stocks it and usually has it! Here’s the link: www.143vinyl.com/aleenes-tack-it-over-and-over-glue.html?partner=403469
Hi Alondra! The only reason the Tack-It Method looks different from regular glitter is because of the holographic effect. If you don't want the holographic effect, I recommend just glittering your tumbler the traditional way.
@@DIYAlex does it look weird with normal glitter? Seems like a fast easy way to do any glitter plus saves steps and keeps the tumbler lighter and thinner.

Thanks for sharing, I am learning this method and great tip about putting vinyl stickers to your shirt first!!
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks Jamie! I’m glad it helped!
Very helpful video! Thanks for sharing. I’ve been wanting to try this method.
That glitter is so beautiful 😍
Thank you! I love it! It's Sunshine from StarCraft Glitter! We carry it at 651Vinyl!
I've been wanting to make this. Thanks for sharing this! Love your videos, always so helpful and easy to follow.
Let me know if you give it a try! You’re welcome, I love to hear that they’re helpful💜
Thank you! I will be trying this today!! 🤗
Awesome! I can’t wait to see it!
THANK YOU FOR ALL THESE VIDEOS! Can you use the Tack it Method if you are just using Fine glitter?
You’re welcome! Yes, but it has to be holographic to see the tack it method.
Love this so I tried it! It was beautiful until I clear spray sealed it. Yhe holographic is no longer noticeable. Did I do something wrong?or will the epoxy bring it back?
It should come back once you apply the epoxy!
I have Aileen’s clear tack it glue can I use that instead of over and over?
I haven’t tried that glue so I’m not sure! Sorry! Give it a try!
@@DIYAlex it’s ok I brought over and over 😁
Does the glitter need to be holographic when using the tack it method ?
Yes, in order to have the same effect it has to be holographic.

Thx for making this, what about, mixing the glitter in your tack it solution and then painting it on?
I wouldn’t recommend if because it won’t apply the glitter as smooth as doing it this way.
@@DIYAlex ic thx
Do I have to epoxy or can I just use the spray to seal it
No spray will hold up over time. For long term results you’ll need to use epoxy.
can you use Mod podge instead of epoxy?
Does it need to be completely dried before applying glitter?
Yes

I can't seem to find the tack it over and over anywhere in my area would any different glue work or does it have to be this specific kind

Can you do this method using crystalac in stead of epoxy?
I’ve never tried Crystalac, so I’m not sure. Sorry about that!
What kind of paint did you use? All I could find was metallic gold. I’m afraid it’s going to be glossy. Great video. Thank you 😊
@@jodigardner7584 thank you
You're going to cover it with glitter so it won't really matter.

Hi mam, is it useable as a normal drinking glass or only show piece?
You can still drink out of it as long as you only use epoxy and glitter on the outside of the cup.
@@DIYAlex Thanks
You’re welcome!
When can u put decals on it..
That is answered in the tutorial ☺️
Can you use mod podge?
Not with this method. It won't have the same effect.
Why do you mix with water? I can't tell a difference between when I do and when I don't.
To make it thinner
Does it matter what kind of glitter i use
It has to be holographic glitter in order to have the same effect, but lots of different brands carry holographic glitter.
Let me know of you want to try any of my glitters, I have over 380 colors, all quality glitters
Can you use tacky glue
No, it has to be Tack it over and over.
Does it have to be the over and over? Or can it be any tack it
I have only used this specific product, but others may work too. I’m not sure!
