Helldivers 2 Player creates IRL Stratagem Controller

- A Helldivers 2 Player has taken Stratagem deployments to the next level.
In an Instagram post, sudomod_wermy posted a video showcasing his 3d printed Bluetooth Stratagem entry pad for the game.
The controller functions as an IRL Stratagem armband, very similar to the ones used in game by Helldivers.
In the video, he shows the controllers functionality, inputting the given Stratagem code and receiving the power up in game.
Wermy says the controller will not make you better at the game, but this is definitely an impressive feat in the battle for Democracy.

No, you can't see your hands in VR, so this gadget doesn't make sense for VR headset
He said helldivers in vr would be good, not that the gadget would be good in vr since in vr you could have the gadget in the game and click on it virtually
And for those who say it’s cheating, it’s not. This is just a key bind, and also it’s fun. We play games *for* fun.
Not even cheqting AND makes you perform worse in game since you give up 2 hands to call it in lol. But looks real fun to me.

Yea the real cheaters are the ones who make strategems 1 click binds for the entire strategem keys.
When we play the strategem minigame we have to click the arrows, the cheaters just click 1 button for any strategem, so instead of doing a 10 arrow hellbomb, they do 1 arrow hellbombs basically, if that explains it better
It’s literally just an input device, it’s no different a controller or keyboard
@@daniel_of_jersey4775 I don’t know, but everyone I know who has seen it says it is. I used one and it was cool but I’d still use the actual keys or buttons for the sake of efficiency.

No, this is something else powered by an arduino. The stratagear is just a phone holder. Both are cool though.

Stratagear is just a phone holder. This has the bluetooth unit and everything inside. Doesn't use your phone.
You can only buy the file to print it. All the electronics you gotta figure out yourself.
They will do a dance pad (like in the dance game with the arrows)so you dance wile fighting😂

I thought I was good when I was paired in missions with level 10+ players and I bought the game literally yesterday and am level 1 and they kept dying not me... Until I realized that you have to unlock the harder levels 🧐🤔

Not really since you can still use your keyboard with the left hand while inputting with the right (which is what you'd do regardless)

Next task for this helldiver is to make his own armor and sit down to play the game in full kit
I had a similar idea, but just for cosplay purposes. An app for an armband that you could put in a stratagem code and could then light up the ball the appropriate color.
Imagine Arrowhead actually adopts the idea and releases a strategem pad that could be used to call in strategems just for immersion purposes

Helldivers VR would go crazy. Getting swarmed by bugs and all ofa sudden you miss one, bug breach happens, and you turn around and face a bile titan.
Bots would feel better but thats because I hate bugs

Imagine a full VR headset with trackers a full running VR sled and physical buttons instead of the touchpad. Probably won't be able to dive or go prone but it sure as hell would be fun.

You could rapid fire them from keyboard as well.
This is the same as cutting out the arrow keys and putting them elsewhere
