I loved it and it's been playing in my head! It's funny to me how everyone compares them to other bands and tries to categorize them. Realistically, every group is using the same Western chord structures, instruments and vocals so there will be similarities. Every artist is influenced by the music they hear and like. The genius is taking the influences, instrument choices, etc. and blending them with your own creativity and making something great! I think this was a bang up first song!
Modern music does have its limitations but also has so much variety that can be made from 7 basic notes. I hear influences in alot of new music but the new bands all have their own individual flare. The Cost killed it in their first song and I can't wait for what they have coming.

But considering Peter & Chris play together in a jazz band, they likely have the musical chops to take us down all sorts of interesting paths.... & I'm 100% here for it!! :)
