Casino Royale. Honestly i dont like Skyfall after this amazing pre title sequene it goes downhill quick.. i‘m among the very few people who prefer Spectre over Skyfall
@eating sugar no papa Skyfall has very cliché narrative thrusts, like when Bond refills his angriness when the Aston Martin gets destroyed. I found Casino Royale much more modern, fresh, cool and interesting graphically. Skyfall has a great intro, but after that it all goes downhill like David said. We like watching James Bond because it's one of the last bastions of masculinity. Having to put up with nerdy teenagers as Q, a clumsy feminist, a crazy homosexual, all this modernity thrust down our throats while we can easily understand the director's concept with much less heaviness, and seeing Bond wait for tens of seconds like an idiot during dialogues instead of shooting the bad guy when he's right in front of him on a ladder, and he's just tried shooting a bullet at him, is a huge step backwards towards classicism in my opinion. Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace brought something relatable and believable in a Bond that's quick on the trigger, swift, emotional. Though not entirely lost, he appears more bland here. The camera choices could have been much more thrilling in Skyfall, like when he hides in a crevasse in the wall to escape fire. A travelling shot sliding from behind the crevasse, towards to corridor, where Craig would appear running towards the camera, then the camera tracks him as he runs by, would have looked more original than learning out of nowhere there's a hole in the wall right as he hides in it. That's the type of detail Casino Royale gets right. In Skyfall, Bond doesn't magically get out of some situations, yet he still does magically get out of some others. It's random. I hate that. Casino Royale has more credibility, he's a badass and that's it. He loses once at the poker game, but it's credible. The casting is perfect, the parkour chase is a flavourful idea, opening up the way they did with the INSANE intro and MASTERFUL Chris Cornell song is well thought of. It was the perfect introduction to Craig as Bond. Plus Le Chiffre is more interesting as a bad guy. Vesper is so cute and bitchy at the same time. Every character has it.
'Casino Royale' is overall the better film, but it has neither Deakin's lush photography nor Gassner's set designs. The latter two are amongst the main reasons why I love 'Skyfall'.

I love the trains in these movies where you can fight in and on it, have shoot-outs, knock down cargo, and uncouple cars and it just keeps going without even trying to stop.
The moment he shot the coupler the train would have come to an immediate stop. The brakes are held open by the pressure in the brake line, a broken line means the brakes clamp on, no ifs or buts. You can even hear the hiss and see the air escaping from the line in the shot!
I love how the train conveniently blows its whistle @ 4:07 so they both can turn around and duck before getting decapitated by the tunnel. The engine is at least 5 cars ahead and already in the tunnel w/no reason to be blowing the whistle. Plus, the whistle is crystal-clear, not muffled by the tunnel confines.
Because you need more than just a stunt or action to create a perfect scene it involves, sound design, good story and tension which bond film's does perfectly.
No one realises how clever Thomas Newman was to have Eb be the held bass note playing in the end sequence, and then the train horn sounds (C Eb Ab) creating a 2nd inversion Ab major chord with the train and the soundtrack😂
Why does everyone say she should have taken another shot, she just accidentally shot one of her fellow agents, she is obviously going to be in shock and lose focus and think about what she just accidentally did
Um... she's supposedly a trained agent. She shouldn't have even needed M chirping in her ear to do any of that... Christ she was driving along side, she could have shot the asshole herself.

Most conductors are so heartless, they would give you a penalty for boarding the train without a ticket. Never mind the fact you just ripped the rear of the train.
I like how the train passengers were all shocked out of their slumber by the digger busting through the roof of the train carriage, even though a guy had just been unloading an automatic weapon a few feet away for the last couple of minutes.
Skyfall was the first Bond movie i saw in theaters. I remember watching part of Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough, sometimes on tv, but they didnt made me appretiate the bond films. Skyfall blew my mind, this scene alone made me love it, and love 007 films.

As cotton industries developed in England, industrial groups began worrying about imports from other countries. At the same time industrialists persuaded the East India company to sell British manufactures in Asian markets as well.❤❤❤❤❤
As a decades long railroad equipment tech, Bond getting shot off the boxcar by a co-worker is just so relatable! How did they get that sort of treatment so accurately? Amazing. Yes very cleverly done, but all the brakes would bang into an emergency application at the first rapid air pressure loss. Followed by the head end crew chopping the locomotive power off and the whole works screeching to a stop. But who wants to watch that? So I suppose they did it right. lol

No one realises how clever Thomas Newman was to have Eb be the held bass note playing in the end sequence, and then the train horn sounds (C Eb Ab) creating a 2nd inversion Ab major chord with the train and the soundtrack😂
Why does everyone say she should have taken another shot, she just accidentally shot one of her fellow agents, she is obviously going to be in shock and lose focus and think about what she just accidentally did
Then she shouldn't be in the field.
Um... she's supposedly a trained agent. She shouldn't have even needed M chirping in her ear to do any of that... Christ she was driving along side, she could have shot the asshole herself.
@@vampov She literally retires from the field in the movie (did you watch the movie?). They make a point of this. Character flaws are not plot holes.
You should know better, Captain Price.
@@mihnealazar7039 I'm messed up from my military career
.......and the iconic song starts😍😍😎🤏
The fall, in reality, can easily crack that neck before the brain simulates the pain and ofcourse the coma ensues
Just enjoy the movie for god sake, i know is not realistic. The unrealistic part make the movie more fun.
Sometimes when you are unconscious in a fall the relaxed condition actually prevents injury. Babies and drunk people often escape damage this way.
lol if were looking at realism. Bond should've been shot 50 when he was sitting in a tiny machine. That seat must be have a force field, because all the bullets just go around it
Yeah, sure, but he's James Bond.
Shut the fuck off madrchod , just enjoy the badass movie.
One of my fav action sequences of all time.
Like the best film ever of James Bond. Starting with a fight on a train full of intensity and adrenaline without failing the style.
"Take the Bloody Shot"! THATS EASY FOR HER TO SAY. She's reeling off orders from an office like she's the Bloody Queen mind you.
One of the best scenes in the entire franchise. Moneypenny is awesome.
That train scene would never elevate or re-create to be original or believable.
Every train scene before was real
"Just changing carriages" just too badass
When daniel craig jumps into the train and pull his sleeve up, omg from that moment I became his fan🙃🙃
2:12 Bond's a prick. That was supposed to be the new car I was gifting my mother for Christmas. And Volkswagen said they haven't got another one in that colour in stock. So now I've got an 8 month wait...thanks 007 🙄
how is that his fault lol
The best opening of any Bond film.
2:06 brought to you by Omega..
Model ref 232.30.42.21.01.001.
Haha.
All endorsements loaded into thw prologue. Omega, VW...
I'm gonna come right out and say it - this Moneypenny is my favorite of all the versions.
honestly so many good versions-
moneypenny, felix, q, both m's.
Absolutely stunning scene. One of my most favorite
the part where he jumps down and fixes his cuffs is just so 😍😍😍😍
Most conductors are so heartless, they would give you a penalty for boarding the train without a ticket. Never mind the fact you just ripped the rear of the train.
1:16 Just cuz it's empty doesn't mean it's no longer a weapon
Disrespecting Q again. Expensive gun. It can be used as a bluff as well.
5:41 that’s what I call a “sky fall” lol 😂
In the opening Bond *falls* off the train because MP shot him and the name of his childhood place (House in act 3) is called *SkyFall*
"Take the bloody shot" knowing that it might kill Bond.
Terrific stuff.
"What was that?"
*"VW Beetles ... I think"*
Bond then wrecks more Beetles. Bond hates Beetles!
I think it was a shout out for Connery when he complained about the goddamn Beatles music lol.
Product placement
Worst lines in the entire film.
The greatest intro of all the James Bond of Daniel Craig
0:13 bike bounces backwards but magically still goes over the barrier
also he would have been thrown head first. no way he could have landed on his feet. looks so stupid lol
American cinematography for you
@@OutCast907 Sir Roger Deakins is actually British😂
When I saw the Sniper rifle I was like: SO YOU SNIPE WITH COLT SMG 633? OHHHHHHHH COOL SETUP.
I love this movie, for me the number one of all Bond's Saga
Naomi Harris
Great in this scene.
The fixing of the cuffs… so 007!!!!
Love this movies
Hello
I like how the train passengers were all shocked out of their slumber by the digger busting through the roof of the train carriage, even though a guy had just been unloading an automatic weapon a few feet away for the last couple of minutes.
Sincerely am blown away by your kind support and show of love towards me. Where are you from? I'll really love to keep in touch on email. Would you?🌹💝
Yeah, the whole thing is of course completely implausible, but still a masterpiece to watch.
@@dusty975I don't think they were able to see him or hear the sound of the shooting because the sound of the train
Outstanding scene! 007 and Money Penny.
One of the best scene in the franchise!!
Even 10 mission impossible couldn’t beat 1 bond film.
I came to this scene only to watch Bond fix his cuffs after falling into the carriage
This would be the best Daniel Craig’s Bond movie.
James Pond: "if you just wanna stuntman to do the Bond job, why not choose Jackie Chan?"
The greatest Chase scene since the French Connection
I like how Bond’s gun runs out of ammo after like 12 shots, and the enemy can fire like 400 bullets from his automatic pistol with a single magazine
you can see him reload bro
this is so well shot and edited ...
Damm. How old are you? I've seen everyone in real time on opening. EVEN "Dr No" as a little kid because my Dad was a big fan! Then again I guess your the 'next' generation.. I WON'T pay the fare for the "woke Bond".
As cotton industries developed in England, industrial groups began worrying about imports from other countries. They pressurised the government to impose import duties on cotton textiles so that Manchester goods could sell in Britain without facing any competition from outside. At the same time industrialists persuaded the East India company to sell British manufactures in Asian markets as well.❤❤❤❤❤
"Take the bloody shot!"
"Screw you! I can get a better shot in 3 seconds!"
Ļoti! Labi.
Great scene from a bond classic very emotional.
Film i, miss M judi dench very much.
that's some very good recoil control for a fully auto glock.
I love the fact when bond hits the bridge the bike just lands on it the next scene is rolling over the railing and spinning 3 times a second
Merci pour ces bon moments de détente
As a decades long railroad equipment tech, Bond getting shot off the boxcar by a co-worker is just so relatable! How did they get that sort of treatment so accurately? Amazing. Yes very cleverly done, but all the brakes would bang into an emergency application at the first rapid air pressure loss. Followed by the head end crew chopping the locomotive power off and the whole works screeching to a stop. But who wants to watch that? So I suppose they did it right. lol
Skyfall, the best Bond movie of the decade. Also one of the best action movies of decade, along with The Raid 1 & 2, Wolf Warrior 2, Furious 7, Mission Impossible Fallout, Operation Mekong, Operation Red Sea and more.
Such a shame to see those Volkswagen beetles get destroyed
So alright Very Great
Incredible movie!!
That Defender chase is fabulous 👍
Taking the shot is the most unbelievable scene
Skyfall best shot is subway metro scene 😍 what a shot man this opening scene is not upto mark.
Along with casino royale and golden eye this opening scene completed my best three bonds opening..
i love the opening sequence of Quantum of solace too!
I did a road-trip in Adana until Erzurum and Karadeniz with RE Himalayan and WR-400. Lotta nostalgia !
And of course, what a movie…
