  • I cut open some agatized coral on my lapidary saw and they were beautiful! This agatized coral fossil is from Florida and is a bit different than the normal agatized coral we have cut up in the past where it has lighter coloring to it! Be sure to like, comment, and share to support this video!

Didn't you say that Rick, who sent you the agatized coral, has a RUclips channel as well? I'd like to see how he polishes his coral. The video of each one, face down in a dish of "sand" looked so interesting! Thanks in advance for a link! 🙏🏽💖

I just got back from the Seaman museum. I donated about 8 pieces, most of which are from a new deposit of agatized coral here in the UP I discovered last summer. Not only are there agatized corals, but there's also fluorite replaced corals which turned out, fluorite fossils are super rare. The deposits above ground, so it has some amazing pieces. I haven't tried cutting any of the pieces most likely to be similar to these ones, but the fluorite fossils look super cool. The fluorescence follows the coral cell patterns.

Good job Taylor and have an idea maybe you could fire up your rocket 🚀 heater about 10 minutes before you start cutting your rocks maybe even 15 plus minutes before cutting that way you don't have to freeze. It's just an idea only.

I know it’s out there and as a native Floridian I am ashamed to admit I am afraid of alligators. To my fellow Floridians please forgive me. 😂😂😂
Slight redemption, my great aunts had property in Arcadia and dug a huge pond between their houses. This was 40 something years ago. We found the most beautiful fossils, I can’t even imagine how many sharks teeth we found. Much larger things as well. God I loved growing up in the Florida wilds of central and sw Florida I am a true feral gen xer and proud of it. (Even though I am a little bit afraid of alligators 🐊 )

I know things are expensive and money is tight everywhere but for around $50-$100 you could have a propane heater that would warm that garage up reasonably quick and then you just got a refill. The propane jug as it empties out instead of sitting there in the cold.😳🥶🤷‍♂️😊😂👍

I USUALLY enjoy your videos and learn a lot from them, but I gotta tell ya, I find the inside of agatized coral absolutely CREEPY! I have no idea why. If the pockets in them contain sand or other gunk, I find them appalling. No amount of black light makes them appealing. I love watching you find rocks and open them up, but I think I'll give agatized coral a miss. Other than that, your channel is great.
