I would say this report is half done. Probably it would make much more sense to take into account living cost in each country and compare it from there.

Sorry for spamming - so the formula is 4 things to consider when you talk about being happy with your income as a teacher: 1) salary 2) living cost 3) school 4) your qualification (Bronze tier - TEFL/TESL certificate + bachelor's degree in any subject needed plus relevant experience, Silver Tier - PGCE + bachelor's degree + relevant experience, Gold Tier - QTS/ Teaching license + Master's + relevant experience).
In the country I live, you have to do 13 years of school before entering university. Also you have to do internships before you are accepted into studies and after your master‘s degree you also have a year and half (minimum) of learning in a school, in which you are observed and are getting grades. And just when you are passing ALL oft that, you can call yourself a teacher and can work in schools as one.
So people, if you re reading this, keep that in mind. We have so many different countries, you just cannot give random salaries without stating, that the circumstances are also VERY different.

I'd say China is numero uno for the salary and living cost now. Plus it's super safe and people are nice. There are some issues with getting used to local mentality and management though but that isn't something you can't bear with.

What is salary for primary teacher
To be fair, you can‘t really compare. You have to see the way to become a teacher. In europe the studies are longer and harder. And you have to check how much „life costs“ in that country. Always see the relation.
Even if you are payed „more“ it doesn‘t mean the country you live in is cheap.
Show reality.
This is NOT hate, but you can‘t just give salaries without putting them into relation to living in that county you are talking about.

@@aleksandrlukin565 oh yes. It is a shame talking about salaries around the world, without mentioning , that every country is different, so you cannot compare. Because of these videos and random hearings many people believe living in Switzerland or Germany e.g. is such a paradise, which is not the truth. At all.
