Another great video!.....I went with the SVC kit and the Fox 2.0" IFP bumps....Please do a future vid describing how well the bumps are doing for you..My 2.0"s came charged to 150 psi and they came in too harsh, so I dropped them down to 75 psi. Just hitting the local bumps and dips so far and they feel better...Doing a 2 day run with the ROC in Cal City in 2 weeks and that will be a much better test..
Thanks 🙏 I will be putting a video together on how they are performing and as a play with the PSI. I carry a lot of weight so I’ll have to run much higher pressure. Oh and have fun on the ROC run. I helped scout and out the trails maps for that run. Lots of fast trails and cool sites. If you want a preview of Some of the places you will see check out my Mojave to Trona video.
DUDE! Thanks man. Never knew there was a Torque Plus. Looking at the shape online it totally makes sense now. But almost nobody carries torq plus bits. Lowe’s, homes depot, Harbor freight, autozone, or even oreillys all don’t have them. Going to need to order a few bits online. Thanks man, for pointing it out. 🙏
RPG did send me the strike plate with the bump stops . Which was awesome . But just in case I bought strike plates just incase they didn't send me any . Now I have a spare set of strike plates .
🤣🤣🤣 the Cali desert sandblasting will handle it. All the paint is gone on my axle and some of the bump stops from sand blasting. It would be all rusted over if I did not go out so often to sand blast all the rust off
Can you get an official new rating for towing so you don’t get a big fat fine and or truck towed by the highway patrol when towing something over the standard rating?
Awesome video. Got a question, what happens if you reuse the bed bolts and nuts? I understand if threads are damaged. I can just see that people may want to reuse them.
Many will reuse and will be fine for a while. The bolts and nuts just won’t hold as tight or as well overtime and may be susceptible to coming loose. I took mine off 2 times before replacing for various experiments with a custom bed rack and noticed the teeth on the heads of the bolts would damage easy so it was getting harder to properly toque. I ended up stripping one of the heads on the 2nd removal and had to drill one bolts out for this install.
Kit is the same. Only thing that changes is the bumps. As for the performance of the bumps, they are both very similar so it comes down to Personal preference. Neither will work right if you don’t spend the time tuning them to the right pressure for your build
I personally don’t. I run Deaver XHD. I do recommend upgraded bump stops period. The stock bump stops on the Raptor are useless. They literally do nothing. Upgraded bump stops are a must if you plan to offroad and they will work with the stock springs.
Where are you guys roughly located. I’m looking to hang out with new people of road. Father’s Day weekend we’re heading out to calico ghost town and maybe Emerald Canyon!
We are in SoCal and go out all the time. Check out my personal page (@heliomuro) on Instagram if you want to join us. We are trying to put something together for Saturday.
Any high speed off-roading is going to need bump stops. The stock bumps don’t offer any protection and in fact will damage to truck. Even if you don’t run fast, there will be that time you surprised by something and need full suspension travel.
Bumps are included. Just keep in mind this is an old video. We no longer recommend this kit because it bent out bed. That little too part of the bump stop touches the bed. The bed moves to much that it bends over the bump kit. Our recommendation is now with the icon kit or the full clamshell kit from camburg. Much stronger, less movement and no damage to the truck
We are running the SVC kit now on my Gen1. The SVC kit is by far the easiest to install, but that ease makes it the weakest bump bit. The only reason my truck has the kit is because it came with it. If it were my choice and my money, The icon or the camburg kits are much stronger and my recommendation.

How have you liked the fox 2.0 ifp? Any problem with them?
Torx Plus, not Torx. That's why you are stripping the bed bolts.

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I figured it out - after I did my bed bolts (of course). Will be ready for next time.
Great vid per usual!

How long ago did you buy? I got mine 2-3 years ago. I wonder if he finally updated the kit because of the complaints
Excellent job everyone... saludos Helio
Thanks man. 🙏🙏
nice job
You need to take that to Minnesota for a few winters to get that rust started underneath

Can you get an official new rating for towing so you don’t get a big fat fine and or truck towed by the highway patrol when towing something over the standard rating?
I’ve seen guys uses extended bump stops to improve towing. But honestly man, using bump stops to increase towing seems like a bad idea to me.

There's two types of rpg bump stops ( fox and king . ) what is the difference and which one to choose
Kit is the same. Only thing that changes is the bumps. As for the performance of the bumps, they are both very similar so it comes down to
Personal preference. Neither will work right if you don’t spend the time tuning them to the right pressure for your build
I'd use a crows foot or dogbone to torque that nut. Didnt look like a socket could fit with that bed so close.
We tried. There is not enough space for those top nuts.
So you can use stock springs with the aftermarket bump stops to save money?

helio muro! how hard do you have to offroad in order to need a bump stop? i’m on option 2 icons on rear

Keep It Dirty Off-Road thanks! love your videos man! keep it up!
@@pjsiason thanks man. 🙏🙏
Is there anything different between gen 1 and gen 2 install?
Yes. The location of the mounting holes on the frame is different since the gen1 kit is wider. But that’s it. Everything else is done the same way
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad thanks for responding, your icon leaf spring video helped me a lot as well, thanks again!
Are your bump stops 2.0 or 2.5 also what do you think of the fox 2.0 ifp bumps?
This kit has the 2.5s.
The 2.0 ifp work just as good and from those that have used them, say it’s a softer strike.
Does the full price of the kit also include the actual fox 2.5 bump stops? I see right now it's 1,658 but idk if that's just for the mounting kit
