- Dexit is a phrase used by Pokemon fans to explain GameFreak's Choice to remove a ton of Pokemon from the modern day mainline games. Is that a bad thing? Is that a Good thing? JOIN ME AS I YELL INTO A BARELY FUNCTIONING MICROPHONE about how dexit and the bring back national dex movement was slightly in the wrong.

that is true but Fire Red and Leaf Green were remakes for the generation One Kanto games. SO technically they get a pass. but i do see your point and will agree with you

Come on, man. Don't beat swsh like that when it's already dead. What do you mean "mid"?
I guess the graphics could be improved but I don't even know if they have what it takes.
Also, I'm one of the few people who doesn't really care about dexit. I have more than 1 favourite Pokémon, I'm not gonna be affected by some of them not being physically in the game. (Unless they are an odd choice to leave out like psyduck or something)
The Mid is in reference to the cinematic against Eternatus. I rewatched the cinamatic and I saw how most of the cutscene was just Zacian and Zamazenta idling.
I doubt they’ll ever remove psyduck, magikarp or pikachu
Pokémon Black and White let you trade over older Pokémon. It's not the same as dexit and implying it is an insult to gen 5's majesty. Dexit is awful.
I discussed this in the video, it was strictly post game and how it was a pain to transfer pokemon from previous generations to Black and White. And most Pokemon from previous regions/generations are uncatchable within B/W. Regardless of that, B/W is a fantastic, if not perfect, game. One of the reason why B/W is amazing was because of limited pokedex forcing you to use pokemon you previously couldn’t/wouldn’t. I’m not insulting Generation 5, never have and never will. Dexit maybe awful but its existence added interesting gameplay additions!
@@asbed you needed to finish the game to unlock the transfer tool but you could still just trade over any Pokémon as soon as you unlocked c-gear. That lack of free trading is what defines dexit. It's also why Black and White "forcing you" to use only gen 5 is looked back on more foundly than Firered and Leafgreen's tradelocks. They both limit you until the postgame but FRLG's restrictions ere hardcoded into the game whereas with gen 5 if you really wanted to you could get a pikachu immediately
You may not think you were insulting but comparing gen V to something horrible as dexit is really insulting in my opinion
@@asbed also vgc could have just blanket banned Pokémon without yeeting them from the code. Gen 6 and 7 had tournaments that did just that
i want to use the pikemon i like. limiting pokemon makes the gme boring. if you have to force ppl to use a pokemon. then they arent good to begin with.
I dont think limiting Pokemon makes the game boring, but i do see your point. The issue is, its becoming incredibly difficult to jam over a 1000+ pokemon including the new pokemon into a game. Plus every new pokemon game is a new journey, and using new pokemon on said journey is part of the game!
