Totally amazing work done in a primitive environment by true craftsmen. I used to teach foundry work in a high school metal working class. That was very rudimentary and this is outstanding!!! I can't imagine how the engineer designed the pouring process. WOW!!!

I'm sure that bearing case is stronger than there welds also he's using the grinding wheel in side the bearing now only the bit he welded needs to be ground down yet he's doing the full circle. Same with the smaller bearing case he grinding the full circle. Which he altering thw inner and outer diameters so now the ball bearings are not as tight as they should be an excessive wear cheap weld .wow .I'm glad it's not my machine it's fitting in
If I remember correctly it is sand mixed with sodium silicate. They. Are poking holes in it and pumping in CO². The CO² mixes with the sodium silicate and hardens the sand to keep its shape.
