- Just a short video today ahead of cutting silage. This was filmed at the start of the week so a few jobs had to be done in preparation for the silage as well as moving the cattle.
A missing calf was an interesting addition to my day during the move.

Just keep topping rushes back and working pasture edges back taking bushes out with topper , backing into tall edges even half topper width to be easier on 135 and topper. You in no hurry. Herd so plump!!!!! Enjoyed!
As we would say you are a Jack of all trades the pole saw is awesome I am sure it will not be left again just keep on top of it,so funny the calf was asleep.

Karen, the lane looks much better after you cut the limbs and brush so you can get the wagon down the lane. You have to be plenty strong to operate the pole saw way up in the air. You and your father make a great limb cutting team. Glad you found the calf and it was OK. Blessings to you and your father.

Good for you Karen, you are really doing great. You might consider taking that high hedge out altogether as it will continue to be problematic and not serving much purpose and them softwood tree's don't make too bad firewood, hope you get the silage saved too

Your girls are looking really good and some cracking looking youngsters. I know its a pain to do but you did a grand job on tidying the lane there Karen. I would guess that by now you'd have had a go at 2nd cut so hope it went ok for you.

Great job on the trimming. It’s handy having a chauffeur for that. I have the same setup, but with a bad back I found it painful sometimes. Then I found out they had carbon fibre extensions and that helped. With those lighter poles you can use 2 extensions for a higher reach.
Hello Karen just got the notification you posted a new video wish it was cooler here it’s 95f the heat index is only 116f . I was wanting to mess with the horses but not in this heat I’ll wait till this evening just before the sun goes down the tree trimming looks like it when we’ll no one got hurt

Hi Karen, just a safety issue. Any time that you are cutting things overhead, a helmet would be a good thing to wear. You did a good job of trimming the lane.
A mulcher would do some job on that field where the calf was ⛳️

Hi Karen, I like the title of this video, 'cowgirl antics'. You and your dad will be glad when the rain stops so the silage can done and dusted. I wander if you have a pedometer on your phone cause you could check how far you walked. The musuc was good for your fast limb lopping, the sound match your speed.
