A SMALL JOB TURNED INTO A MASSIVE TASK

- This video has been recorded over 2 and a half months. It's one of those jobs that I thought would take a couple of weeks but totally underestimated what was involved. The weather and wet ground didn't help either but I thought I'd never see the end of it. The job is done though and I'm fairly happy with how it turned out except for the damage to the ground.
Well done Karen!
You're mighty. Never mind it took so long, you're one woman, most of the time! And you have a full time job. Good to see you roped the family & in-laws in to help you. I'm sure you're dad is so proud of you and you should be too. You never give yourself enough credit girl !!! And all that rain is what makes kerry (and the rest of Ireland) so green & beautiful. Keep up the good work.
Well done, your not afraid of work, grass will grow again with the hot summer we will get.
🤞🤞
Wow well done Karen lovely job 👏, don't worry about the grass it will come back again better with out the hedge overgrown 👍💯 may help a bit of grass seed 😊
Your work ethic is grand Karen! Very glad you could get your sisters and their partners to help you out in the clearing. By now I'm thinking the grass grew back, the ground got a bit dryer and stronger and the posts and new fencing are complete! Always sweet to see you and your Dad get some time together too while tacking something else that needed to be done! The end result looked great too! The fact that you could even get a head start on all of this in January is a kicker to be sure! I'm thinking we all are ready for some warm and dry weather! Cheers From Across The Pond In Ohio 👋
Hi Karen your videos are brilliant I just subscribed it's axuley my first time ever subscribing to any videos but I really enjoy watching you and your Dad working the land, and Best of luck with the new tractor.
Thank you so much!!
Well done Karen another top job.Farming is definitely in your blood. Farmer P sells packs of his beef, is this something you have considered.Roll on summer, sun on your back dry meadows and summer holidays . (You can always dream)😴💙🏖
It's not something I'd look to do right now with everything else I have going on but I'd never say never
Hi Karen,
Great job, well done. There is always fierce work afterwards when you do that kind of clearing. You had great help, fair play to them. I am facing into the same job myself. It's all down on the field, we just haven't been able to get in the field to clear it up with all of this rain we're getting.
Oh I know the feeling
Wonderful work Karen well done WOMAN! You make us PROUD!!! Great you received help from your sisters/ husbands and brother-in-laws. Was fun to watch, even in fast motion! You have determination, girl! Good on you!! Thanks for sharing- I enjoyed it!!😊
Well done Karen great job, that was no easy task but you persevered, don’t worry about the grass it will look so much better in the Summer.
Well done to all . Thank you Karen for continuing to share your vids , much appreciated
I feel your pain 😂 I remember making piles of branches with the tractor front loader and then waiting a few weeks for dry weather to burn them off. Well worth it in the end. A run of the roller and some grass seed will sort the grass for you. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. Keep them coming
Great work karen 💪🙏👍♥️thank you so much sweet and beautiful Lady 😘💋💍😻🌹💐😍🥰♥️👍
Hi Karen, On my scrolling of the net over the weekend, I seen a chap using a petrol post knocker, it was out foreign, Basically you fire the grobar down first to check for rocks, place your post in the hole & put this knocker on top & rev it up & down the post goes, (Not googled it yet) 💪
I'll have a look, thanks!
You (and your family) did an amazing job there Karen, you work so hard all the time and keep so upbeat.I'm sure that your grass will recover in time.Really impressed with your post knocking- in skill and energy! Keep well.
Many hands make light work or something like that. That was smart of you to rope everyone in! They also got a free workout, no gym required.
You are doing an awesome job. Just don't burn yourself out. Take some "me time" if you need it. Even if it's only 15 minutes, it makes you feel better.
Well done Karen great job. It’s great that the family chipped in as well.
Your army has done a great job. I hope you will be cooking a family dinner for all as away to say thanks
My mother cooked for all of us that day
Great job Karen. Cutting that hedge will help to dry your field. A wee bat of a harrow and a bag 🎒 of seed..You're a great girl 👧 xx
Ground is like a cake,spongey 😂😂
Well done thats hard work. It looks a lot better now
Great job cleaning up the trees
many hands make it easier. plus coffee food . good on you . yay for team karen/ kerry.
Great job Karen. Another lovely video. Don't worry about the ground and grass. Nothing a shot of a leveller/roller and a few grass seeds won't cure. Cailín iontach 👏
Who needs a post knocker when they’ve got a Karen ❤
💪💪
It builds character.
Karen, simply, Well done with your hard work.
Karen: you are a credit to the parents who reared you, and that's for sure. They must be so proud of you
Hi Karen lovely job well done looks good
Great video Karen
You are brilliant, love the video as usual, what can I say 😮❤
Great team work to clear the areas ❤
That was a huge job. Well done on getting it done despite the sodden ground.
Hopefully a bit of drier weather will arrive soon...
the price of everything is a joke we are being robbed blind here in ireland great vid
Great job done there
Lovely job great video
Another enjoyable video and good too see the family involved
Hi Karen, thats an interesting video from the farm. I did expect to see a good old hand pump grease gun which still does the job ok. Its a pity its still raining and the ground is still boggy. Nothing better that getting the family involved and using the team effort. Another big job out of the way and i love your technique in knocking the post in the ground. You now have a big bon fire to burn, so why not invite you family around for a barbie, beer and marshmallows to thank them for their hard work. Thanks for the update. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
We're not allowed burn anything in Ireland anymore. it was introduced last year so we actually got the contractors to mulch it all when they came to start that bit of ground for the reseeding
Powerful work, super stuff as always
Thank you ☺️
I really liked this video!
One day when I go to Ireland, you guys better get me into one of your YT shows :D lol
🤣🤣
Hi Karen your looking so beautiful in the video and that was a great job to keep up the good work with them and on your farmer ❤❤❤❤
Great job putting up the fence Karen
You should have put in the clippex steel posts
Brilliant video Karen, you done a fantastic job, and it looks so good .❤
Your such a hard worker only fair for siblings to help looks great and grass grows back your not the only ones with the crappy weather in the us we have had so much rain all last summer rain snow all winter thought spring was here nope woke up to a couple of inches of snow hopefully it gets better for you soon I love your cows wish I was young again and could have some see you on the next one❤
🤞🤞
Great video Karen. Big clean up !! If you had a few dry weeks the loader would have made the job a lot easier. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼☘️
Well done you. I could do with someone like you with all that enthusiasm and energy to help me
Karen I love your work ethic. Wish I was younger and could come help you. You are a great person and beautiful too boot! Hang in there girl
Well done. You and your dad should be very proud. ❤
Beautiful job Karen, looking Gorgeous love your smile makes my day , keep warm love from Australia ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good job am not fancy I would just use bull wire round that pillar too anchor the end post
It is a credit to u Karen ur a very hard working woman and u should be proud of what u have done on the farm
Good job in a short time on the editing. I’m 5 hours behind you, and it’s barley dinner time, and I’m enjoying the episode.
If you do trimming every year, maybe look into a small portable chipper/shredder. They’re pricy new, but I got one on marketplace for $200🇨🇦 which is about €135. It’ll manage anything up to 3”. I’ve had it for 5 years now, and it gets about 5 hours a year work. Might not do it all, but I’ve turned some mighty big piles of shrub into garden mulch.
Gym not required good job not afraid of work very rare these days 👏👏👏👏👏🚜🏴
You’re gonna arms like pop eye if you keep swinging that hammer.lol hardest working young lady on the inter web nice job karen and family
That's the plan 🤣
Great job a few grass seeds and a run of a roller will sort if it ever stops raining👍👍
That’s has lovely big house you got there Karen ❤
Lots of hard work, you are 1 in a million with that work ethic and dedication ❤
Good work 👍well done 👍
Good stuff
Aha, I knew there was more of you doing all this work, but there was no proper introduction. Good job, great video and take care👍🇨🇦🚜❤️
Not so bad u got help with it set off chain harrows or tine harrows will leavel out field again
🆒 Video KAREN !!!!
Your dad will be delighted, was saying those trees were destroying the house.. Nice neat job.. 👌👌
He seems to have a vendetta against all trees around the house at the moment so they have all been taken down. I don't want to see another tree cut around here 🤣
@@karenmoynihanfarm well he is right though, every thing is green after them.. Like i see in a comment below, deforestation 😂😂😂
@@briancronin8476 Stop!! 🙈🤣🤣
@@karenmoynihanfarm 🤣🤣🤣
Great job Karen!
keeping on ,keeping on Karen, great video
Definitely needed more hands for a job like that. With all that rain it's a wonder the land ever drys out.
It's easier to drive posts when the ground is wet
Well done Karen you and your family pulled together and got the job done you surprised me with the chipper price would of been nice to reuse but never mind maybe next time I am not going to laugh about not coming across raw plug’s fixings because there is things I haven’t come across
Many hands make light work
Super video, the gator is a great job,you could buy a S/H wood chipper btw 3 or 4 of ye.
I don't think my sisters would agree to that 🤣
Mighty stuff you got alot done
My goodness Karen you really do and a half graft!!
Well good job Karen x
Good job some warriors keep them going say. Won't be answering next phone call.when need jobs done
A cattle prod is usually a good motivator

#MHLivingHistoryLeapyear2024
Well done karen on a job well done the time lapse was funny 😂
Great video, a petrol post driver would be handy. There not that expensive and you carry it in gator would take a lot of work out of fencing.
The Family will be scared to visit in future, what next will they put at😅, Great video as always
🤣🤣🤣
Well done
Well done you.
👍👍
Det är så vackert att se dej i gummistövlar 😊😊
surely between the loaner tractor and the new one, there must be a piece of equipment to install posts. well if the sisters saw you hammering they would not argue with you.
The loader would do it but the ground is too wet
Push post in with the loader far handyer
Ground is way too wet for that
Where is Farmer P when you need him 😂
🤣🤣
Hate when people say we're nearly there o sweet jayus 😂
Why??
Reminds me of being on the bog with my father footing turf karen he always used to say that... you would look up and you would have nearly five mile of turf ahead of you still to foot... nearly there in your dreams used to drive me mad 😣 haha...
Don't mind me karen childhood trauma ill get over it some day 😂
@@patrickbrowne183 🤣🤣🤣
Well done, but I would have done it with a wood chipper insitu
I mentioned why I didn't use one
Yeah posted the comments before the end

Hi Karen another great intresting video the ground is brutel wet is the fence bared wire or mains electric
It's mains
Hard to find good help these days!!
Make sure the grease comes out
I know how to grease machinery thank you very much 😂
Ok give it plenty mostly were she swivels in the middle because it keeps out the water aswell less grease water get in but if you're doing a driveshaft one pump
Karen where did you get the new top for the grease gun.
My Dad got it on Amazon. He said it's not cheap but it's a great job in fairness
This fair wet
Have you bought the loader now Karen or is it still on demo?
Still on demo but only for a few more weeks
@@karenmoynihanfarm I bet you'll miss it I think you've enjoyed having around to help out. Is it something you'll invest in do you think?
I think you need to look at hedge laying as opposed to hedge cutting. You had too much grief trying to clear that lot in the wet.
👀🙄🐾👍
Deforestation?
It's my parents cutting back a row of trees in their garden which were then thrown into the field. I wouldn't call it deforestation 🤣
It was just a joke@@karenmoynihanfarm
Is it just me or where you just dumping the wood on de side of the road
😂😂😂 no
@@karenmoynihanfarm ok just wondering what were you doing with the wood when you dump it out of the load loader
Your posts seem a long way apart from each other, I would have had them closer
