Karen don't put yourself down, I was a tractor driver for 50 years as an agricultural contractor, your hitching onto the trailor was ok and reversing out of the shed I could not see any problems with that at all, trust me I have seen a hell of a lot worse, you did ok be proud of yourself 👍. 🏴🇬🇧
Great help to your father trailer licence very handy for mart car cattle trailer save hiring truck to factory or mart fetch my course driving course free
Grand job all round I would say, maybe a strong steel bar size of the pins though the arms to lift the trailer would be safer just set the block back slightly out of the way, also why remove the whole drawbar frame just remove the drawbar, maybe that’s seized up also on the pin at the front, little by little your making a dam fine job of things Credit to you.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the way you raised that trailer! If you raised it 8 feet in the air and then went and stood underneath it then I too would say that it was dangerous but for what you did I thought it was brilliant and saved you a lot of work from getting out a jack and so on. The only people who would criticize you on that would be unionized factory workers who have never lifted a finger without supervision lol... Plus... The way you pulled the trailer out and backed it out; nobody could have done it any better! Trust me I have done that many many times!!! Great video as always, cheers from Canada
Great video Karen love the rope trick it's true when they say necessity is the mother of invention. Don't be hard on your reversing it is a lot better than you think. I spend a lot of my time fixing bad driving from so called experts you didn't hit anything and got the trailer where you wanted it keep up the good work .👍
Karen. People came up to you at the ploughing match because they love you. Your such a lovely girl, both in looks and your bubbly personality. That's why we all love you, so don't be surprised that everyone wants to say hello. You are getting quite famous now through your very entertaining videos. Thank you Karen. We all look forward to your next video always. You do a wonderful job keeping the farm up and running. Your mom and dad must be so proud of you. You did ok with the trailer and can only get better each time. Keep up the good work and carry on filming. Your fan club is increasing all the time 😁 Thank you ❤
Don't be hard on yourself about the trailer. You did great, you hot it out first try and didn't hit anything. Counts as a success in my book. I've been haying for over 30 years and still struggle backing up a hay wagon. They are set up like a car, with two axles, but the front one steers. Keep up the good work, it is a joy to watch you.
You did great backing up that trailer. My husband bought me my first trailer 2 Christmases ago. I refused to pull it for weeks. Practice has been the only thing making it better. I was terrified to pull trailers because my daddy had me parking boat trailers when I was a teenager. I tended to hook the trailers on stuff. Needless to say my endeavors as an adult have been much more successful. I won't pull anything over 16' though. Thank you for another great video.
Karen, it was nice that you met so many nice people at "Women in Agriculture" and you remember them. It is nice to make connections with ladies that do farming and give you encouragement. It was nice you met farmer Pete and farmer Phil. They made you smile when you talked about them. You have great driving skills especially when backing up to the trailer. Using the wood blocks and the twine then raising the arms was a neat trick so you could raise the trailer off the wood blocks. You like to have the barn looking clean and tidy which makes you feel good. Blessings to you and your father.
Finally I found your real channel and subscribed! I kept seeing stolen TikToks posted as reels on Facebook and wasn't sure on your channel name here. Keep up the hard work!
"Little Red is queen of no castle around here." What a wonderful turn of phrase. I have to start writing these down. . . Made my day. And you won the trailer contest, too.
Karen thank you for a another great video I love watching you doing amazing work working two jobs is hard no time to rest you’re so happy no matter what you’re doing you have beautiful cattle thank you again God bless you and your family!!❤❤
I have seen quite a few videos you have posted. I was born and raised on a farm, maybe the size of yours. My heart is in agriculture. Your videos appeal to me a lot. It is not about you, your person and appearance, but about running a business, with the associated land and machinery. I have "played" farmer alongside a full-time job as an engineer with Galaway, Gotland fur sheep, Border Collie and Australian Kelpie and some poultry. Over the years I have acquired various aids, but do not need them anymore. I would like to donate them to you. I live in Denmark and do not know the shipping costs, maybe we can find a joint sharing of the shipping costs. I have a Kvernland pallet fork, 3 point lift, which can lift up to 1200 mm, as far as I remember, a hydraulic top bar, an A frame male/female and a two-way hydraulic switch. I will send that to you if you are interested, if we can work out something about the shipping cost. In one of the videos you say there is a little space between the 135 and the spreader when it is tightened. Tip, storage on a Europallet with 4 wheels, 360 ° rotatable in a lift arm raised horizontally will provide space and make handling easier and simpler to connect. If you want to protect yourself, a shipping company can probably secure the shipment anonymously. Huge respect for your commitment and dedication alongside your full-time job. I Can take pictures and find out the Wright and send to You Respect.
Great video. Did you .et funky farmer aswell. I' do look a lot videos on you famer phil p . I didn't go ploughing this year our last 4 times. Too bissey and a man ran into me on 30 August with van wrote off my jeep. I' was 1 hour drive from it in mid tipperary.
I think Funky Farmer recommended you. He saw you at the plough chapionship show ,I think . And Farmer phil . Oh my take one day at a time . I like watching and learning from you all .
Beautiful fencing, all the cattle looking Beautiful, beautiful backing with the trailer always looking Beautiful Karen, your Dad looks great love your efforts hope you enjoy the plowing and keep warm ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
There seems to be a lot of rain coming. I'd put those big heavy cattle into the shed if the forecast is very bad to save your fields. Either that or feed them silage in one field that you don't mind destroying and reseed in the spring. The rest of the grass will grow while it's raining and that might make up for the extra silage you are out. Straw might be a good idea for feeding them to balance out very wet grass.
Well done Karen.ur reversing is grand. All those wee tips like lifting the trailor are very useful.v glad all enjoyable at the show.....u have lovely scenery towards hills and lake away in the distance.well done!
Great video Karen. If you have a nine hole drawbar you can lift the trailer up slightly with that and it will also keep the tractor arms from slapping about and catching the trailer. Great job in the reversing.💪💪135.
Awesome video again Karen thanks. You are like a machine banging post's in one minute then driving tractors the next awesome work ethic. Don't worry about the rope trick if it works for you great, bit of great farmer initiative 👍. Reversing a trailer takes a lot of practice so don't beat yourself up at least you are willing to do it. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊
Nothing wrong with that bit of driving Karen, steady and safe, when your backing up a trailer the tractor will be all over the place. Out the door in one go, what more would anyone want
Top woman Karen .. young kids should be made watch your videos and see how a bit of hard work can help you with life’s ups and downs .. enjoy ur holidays
Hi Karen, is B for bale?. And the answer to your question is yes . The hay is free , there is just a shipping charge. Farmers always help other farmers.😊 love the videos, take care 🇨🇦👍🚜
Hi Karen, another entertaining video , those animals of yours are an extended family. They can be stubborn, mischievous and so funny at their antics. You are a role model for women drivers 🤣I have just watched Farmer P's latest video and it was filmed at the The Ploughing Show and at the end of his video he shows photo's of the people he met at the show. He saved the best photo 'till last, it was you. One for the album.😑💙👍
Hi Karen, look how far you have come in a couple of years. You put the tractor near the trailer first go and your backing up of the trailer was as good as anybody. Its great the people at the plowing where happy to meet up and chat and don't be surprised by the attention, you are seen as a young women farmer, who is having a real go at it. Pity the weather isnt a bit kinder to you. Well done. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
Hi Karen. Another great video, everything so well explained, about reversing the trailer. Karen a two axle trailer is a lot easier to reverse than a single axle trailer.
Hi Karen, This might be a help to you if you want to complete a fodder budget plan for the winter. Assuming that your bales were made in dry conditions, if you multiple the number of bales by 900kgs that will give you the total amount of silage you have in kgs. Each suckler cow will eat 1400kgs of silage each month. A 0-1 animal will eat 700kgs each month. A 1-2 and a 2+ year old animal will eat 1300kgs of silage each month. You said that you have 120 bales. This will give you a total of 108,000 kgs of silage for the winter. If you are planning for a 5 month winter, for example, this means that you will have 21,600kgs available for each month. If you work out the number of each animals that will be on the farm for the winter and use the above figures for each group, you will be able to work out your monthly silage requirements for the number of animals. This will allow you to plan ahead with regards to buying extra fodder if you don't think that you will have enough. My apologies for the long text 😅
Excellent work on moving the trailer, I think you under estimate your abilities around the farm, like anything, the more you do it the easier it becomes. Some great advice I heard recently when backing a trailer, is to put 1 hand on the steering wheel at the bottom, as your guiding hand, then if you want the trailer to go left as you back up, move that hand slowly to the left.
Your trailer looks good. I need one like that for my 135. you did well to back that out there in 1 go. After your busy 2 weeks on the farm you will need a rest when you get back to work
you did ok getting the tractor and trailer out of the shed does not matter if it was not straight as long as you dont hit anything keep up the good work

Key to reversing a trailer is small gentle corrections with the steering. Don't be making big turns with the wheel unless necessary.
