I also loved those wide fields. When I passed by, the stalks were blowing in the wind and many little whistling birds were hiding in the field. You couldn't see them, only hear the whistles. It was so peaceful and delightful. Thank you very much for sharing this video. I really like the style you´re editing. Buen camino y un fuerte abrazo from Germany
Thank you. I didn’t even know that lightning had happened until I started editing the video. I was pretty excited when I saw it. Thanks for watching and Buen Camino.
Nice video and thanks for sharing. I stayed in the same accommodation in Torres del Rio in May this year , while cycling from Pamplona to Santiago. Too cold for a swim but great place and meals on large tables is a fun way to meet other Pilgrims. A couple of fellow Australians there at the same time as myself.
@@staceyandmollypilgrims I rented a mountain bike from Cycling The Camino. There head office is in Santiago De Compostela and they deliver the bike to your requested accommodation along the camino. Just require a small amount of assembly ( pedals fitted and handle bar rotation) but full backup service via phone if needed.
You have captured 'the essence' of the Camino beautifully. I feel like I am walking along with you. Stunning scenery. Thanks once again for sharing. Can't wait for my Camino!!!!
New follower here. I am enjoying your adventures and vlogging. Can you tell me what your packs weigh? I see you brought umbrellas - instead of rain jackets? Bon Camino
Love this! I just found your channel. You guys are doing a great job with the videography. Are you using a GoPro? If so, how are you keeping it so stable as you walk?
5:25 This day I walked a shorter distance: 20-VIII-2004, Estella - Pablo Sanz - Villamayor de Monjardín - Iglesia del Santo Sepulcro - La Fuente/Los Arcos I think Los Arcos is before Torres del Rio.
Birgit was great to walk with, but we never got her contact information. As you know, that’s how the Camino is. You don’t realize that you are seeing your walking friend for the last time.
What beautiful memories being made with your daughter. Love it!
It really was!

Thank you. We became very familiar with wheat as we progressed. Buen Camino.
Great lightning flash at 11:23! Well done - looked like a lot of work.

I’ll be walking the Camino Frances mid Aug - Sep. I can’t wait! I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for bringing it to us. Buen Camino!
Thanks. I hope your Camino experience is a great one. Buen Camino!
Nice. Great educational experience for the young'un.
It sure is! I learned a lot, too. It was an amazing experience!

I am interested in potentially cycling it in the future. Did you take your bike or rent one?

Thank you very much! When are you starting?
Have just booked our flights. We leave Australia on May 3rd next year.
@@cathy5986 That sounds like the perfect time to go. Buen Camino!
Loving your journey! Beautiful photography. I’ve never walked the French way but your videos are enticing me. Peace. Safe travels.
You've got to do it! It wasn't as crowded and I feared, and the other pilgrims were actually part of the fun. The scenery was better than we expected.

My pack was around 12 pounds. Molly’s was about 11. I brought an umbrella and a rain suit. Molly only brought the umbrella.
3:59 The ground is _already_ looking redder than the day before, you are approaching La Rioja.
Wunderful Video aß always, uihhh wow, a day before i arrive no wine, it was empty. :)
Next time!

Yes. We used a GoPro Hero 10. It just seemed to be pretty stable. Welcome to the channel. Buen Camino!

If you were in the bar Azketa, you may have met Pablo Sanz, who was the one who offered me my pilgrim staff and taught me how to use it.
I think we were served by a woman there. Maybe a relative?
@@staceyandmollypilgrims Possibly - he was not totally young back in 2004. I'd not be surprised if a daughter or daughter in law were doing most now.
14:43 Ah, Birgit from Germany.
Said there were Germans around, didn't I!

@@staceyandmollypilgrims That's true.
