👍The hotels all looked very nice. The meals looked yummy and hearty. I just love the english names of hotels and pubs.😅🇺🇸
Going on my adventure in October this year 🙌 really looking forward to it 😁
Can you let me know how the weather and temperatures were? I want to go back and fill in a couple of stages, and I don’t know the best time to do it.
15:10 English channel vs Kattegatt -- which is longer?
what is "clotted" cream? does it differ from whipped cream?
It is more like butter, but softer.
@@staceyandmollypilgrims Thank you!
Oh thank you so much Stacey and Molly! This video will be very helpful in planning our Journey along The Pilgrim’s Way.
O hope that you have a great trek. Have you done other UK treks?
@@staceyandmollypilgrimsNone yet. I’m in the US but have a cousin who has lived in England and Wales for 50 years. Presently she lives in New Mills, Derbyshire in the Peak District. I’ve been to France and Germany twice, but haven’t made it to the UK yet!
Very nice choices.
Thanks so much for documenting a wonderful adventure. We're off to the C2C in 3 weeks (9/24) and watched all of your vids to see the terrain and buildings and, of course, your travels. Gave us a good primer. Feel more prepared now.
you got two cats! cool
And we love them so much!
Pablo did a great job filming etc. and you 2 Broken Bunch members did a great job at sightseeing.....and cake eating (o:
Thanks. We’re making sure to continue our sightseeing and cake-eating training, but Pablo is hanging up is filming hat.

Glad you enjoyed your brief visit to our village (Shap) and one of the local pubs(the Greyhounds) looking forward to viewing the next one as you begin the walk through the Westmorland Dales
We plan to revisit Shap at some point so that we can fill in the stage leaving Shap that we missed. We should have more energy to explore it next time. It looked like a lovely town.
I enjoy watching and reminiscing about my Camino experience in 2009. It was much different; not nearly as many albergues or bars; not nearly as much rain even though I walked in March/April. It was a very moving experience for me, I had a lot of personal, physical, and emotional pain to work through. I so enjoy watching you and your daughter plod along in your voyage. I can tell that you're getting tired. Ultrea
We were getting tired, but we were also getting more emotional. The Camino was probably the best experience of my life. I can’t wait to do it again.

What a wonderful place!
The guy in the straw hat, don't know if you know, but he and his girlfriend has a very successful youtube channel + other camino 'stuff' CaminoTellers (believe he meet her after this camino).
Yes. He was a really nice, friendly guy.
And the Holy Grail?
Did you see the immense Brown trout in the River? They are the size of salmon. Downstream there are pools of smolts that look like watergrass. They are in the milions
We didn’t see them there, but they were huge coming out of Comillas in the Norte.
I think that pillar you passed was a pillory. It looks like the pillories I've seen in other towns in Spain (I've done the Camino several times). They are usually in the center of the "old town" and were used as punishment. Why that one was out in the middle of a field is a mystery to me. Perhaps it was moved there or there was a village there but is gone now. I really enjoy watching you two walk. I wish I could have taken my children for a walk on the Camino. Ultrea
I liked it very much!
9:11 What? You had quite a few fish and chips? How come? Were you in the UK or sth ...? Oh, wait, Scotland is in the UK, it's Nova Scotia that's in Canada!
6:46 Have you passed by Isdalen while you were there? There is a dead woman, the probable killers were known by sight but weren't caught and her identity is still a matter of speculation. According to strontium and oxygen patterns, she grew up in South Germany, not far from Nuremberg (Norwegian lab did the matching). My take, it could have been a daughter of a Nazi dignitary, and she could have been taken out because of that, a secret identity after the war not being enough to put them off track.
3:14 If it's any consolation, a certain Rowling was probably doing her mental and perhaps also on-paper inventions when riding the train on a rainy day. Had it been sunny, she might have just watched the scenery? Or is that me being too much of a Puddleglum?
Looks like a lovely way to spend a day. You still sound a bit crook. Hope those antibiotics keep doing their job.
So awesome 😀😀😀
AI commentaries still got a long way to go
Thank you SO much for showing what the trail actually looks like.
You are welcome. We tried to find videos that showed it and we couldn’t, so we made sure to include that.
In order to take their milk, calves are taken from their mothers, mostly within 24-48 hours of birth and the mother cow is milked dry and impregnated again, so that 9 months later...same all over again. Thanks for a great Camino Dairy.
Thanks for sharing that. We never knew much about dairies until the Camino.

Any chance of you posting a version without the tiresome music, please.
Sorry, but no. I’m full up just getting one video out per week and caring for my aging parents. But, thanks for the suggestion.
So enjoyable to follow your epic journey.
Thanks you so much!
That must be the most photographed horse. I’ve even got a photo with him
Yes. I think they really like to be in the pictures!
Love watching your videos! How did you reserve a room at “Hotel Rural Casa El Cura”? We can’t find any contact information for them. Looking to stay there in May 2025. Danielle and Michael
I made the reservation by phone. This is the number that I have for them: 34-987-337-647. I hope this helps.
I'm so sorry your trip ended that way. I know you felt terrible, and it is scary to get sick or hurt away from home. Glad you found a wonderful driver to get you to good care.
I’m sorry for the medical issues. It is part of what we do though and it sounds like you made the most of the three long walks in the year. Rest up, toughen up those feet, grab the staff and scallop shell and we’ll see you on the trail again.
Wishing you both the best from Australia. Really enjoy your videos. 🤗
Hope you are better already! As I understand, you are not posting this in real time, or I'd be agreeing totally with Ed Alonzo!
Very unfortunate. Hope you enjoyed some of the walk in the good times.
We did, and we're trying to figure out how we can get back to the UK to finish this walk and fill in the stages that we missed from the Coast to Coast. We loved them both and hate to leave something unfinished.
Unlucky to get an infected foot and a nasty virus at the same time but so lucky that William took you to A & E. I’m glad you were well looked after. Time to rest and recover.
Hope you get better soon - love your adventures
You made that look easy
Blessed Feast of St. James!
Kingshouse hotel at over £200 per night is only for rich people.. If you thought it was meh... Then either it was really crap or your expectations as rich Americans were toohigh, other than that I have enjoyed your videos even though you have not camped in a tent 1 single night.. Good work keep it up looking forward to the last section
I got the stay in the Kingshouse room as my birthday present. The building is beautiful, the room was nice, and the setting is stunning. However, the service was not good at the hotel or the restaurant. We don’t camp so that we won’t have to carry the gear. That isn’t our thing.
I'm glad the weather was better than expected. It looks glorious, even with the intermittent showers. I am sorry to say I agree with you about the King's House. It was not our favorite, either. For such a nice building in a beautiful setting, it was very impersonal compared to the other places we stayed. We also were disappointed not to see any highland stags. I had seen video of them walking around in the parking lot, but we didn't see a one.
Yeah. However, I’m not sure how to organize the hike to avoid staying there. Next time, maybe we’ll try the bunkhouse.
@@staceyandmollypilgrims Yes, it’s the only place along that stage. And there couldn’t be a prettier setting.
14:17 _"just in time ...."_ You can say _that_ again!
12:00 No cat? No cow? No sheep? No dog? ... _is_ it Stacey and Molly on the walk?
We really missed the animals. They keep us going.
@@staceyandmollypilgrims That day, it was the threat of rain.
10:13 Blessed St. Magdalene's Day! The mountain above the sign post looks as if Tolkien had drawn it!
We felt that all day!
How do you manage to travel and trek for such long periods? I am wondering about work and school commitments. I would love to take long periods of time to do such adventures but even working for a family member I do not have that flexibility.
I work part time and build up extra hours. We usually leave the day after Molly ends school each year. We couldn’t have done this earlier in life, but we are grateful to have the flexibility now.
Stacy and Molly, I’m pretty sure I have watched all of your videos, and appreciate your straight forward style. Molly has grown into an exceptionally effective, and wonderfully expressive narrator. I have enjoyed your walks so much that I am planning a trip to Britain in 2025, and wonder if you have a favorite section or area you’ve hiked. A friend and I will have 7 to 10 days, and we’d like to hike/walk and visit small villages along the way. We plan to stay in inns and hotels.
Thanks for the kind words. I recommend the Pilgrims Way. The towns along the way were wonderful, and ending at Canterbury was amazing. I’m going to make a hotel video for that one coming up. We stayed at some really cool old pubs/hotels.
@@staceyandmollypilgrims Thank you, Stacey, I look forward to that!
What a beautiful, scenic day, in spite of the rain. We loved all the same stops you made. I think we stayed in that exact room at Inveroran. I'm sure you met Nadia, who owns the hotel? I told everyone at home that I felt like I had met a professor from Hogwarts. She was so quirky and adorable!
Fun detail. Inveroran sounds like it involved an English word. Inver Roaring. Doesn't. Bridge of Orchy sounds like nothing English after "bridge" ... Bridge Bhorci? Bridge Mhorci? Bhorcai? Mhorcai? Yes, there is, there is "of" ...
10:46 In honour of the fog lifting: ruclips.net/video/7_-wkidKX54/видео.html I lived loads of my life, including some of the months same year prior to Santiago 197,3 km from where Carl Nielsen is born. You bet we had him in music class! That's 122.5961 miles from his Nørre Lyndelse to Malmö, formerly mine (not looking forward to going back, though).
